Win a game of Fanorona, Morris and Bowls on the Homestead.
You have to complete the majority of homestead side missions before all three games become available! The tactics of your enemy will vary a lot, especially for the Fanorona game. Try to copy the first moves shown in the video below, but keep in mind that it will all get random at some point and you need to adjust your tactics.
-Fanorona–
Can be played in the homestead manor and becomes available during DNA sequence 5.
The goal is to capture all enemy pieces. You can move your own piece multiple times each round, as long as an attack is possible. Concentrate on taking out the majority of enemy pieces very quickly without losing too many of your own. When your enemy has 3 pieces left you should have at least 6. You will sometimes have to sacrifice one of your pieces to make the opponent attack and to take his piece in return. This is the hardest game out of all three and the computer changes the tactics a lot. Try to stick to the first moves shown in the video. It’s very important to get the upper hand early on.
-Bowls-
Can be played outside the homestead inn and becomes available during the 4th homestead mission of Godfrey & Terry.
The goal is to have your bowls closest to the red bowl at the end of a round. The more of your bowls are close to the red bowl, the more points will you get. The first player who gets 5 points will win. This is by far the easiest mini-game. Your opponent is very inaccurate and barely gets any points. Always use the tactical camera for a better overview and you shouldn’t have any trouble with this.
-Morris-
Can be played in the homestead inn and becomes available after doing the homestead mission for Oliver and Corrine.
The goal is to leave the enemy with less than 3 pieces or block all possible moves. To take out enemy pieces you need to line up 3 of your own pieces. Start by placing pieces on two corners of the board. When your opponent has two pieces in a row then block the third place. Each player has 9 pieces. Once all of them have been played you can only move the pieces one field per round. Try to build a “trap” where you can move one piece back and forth and get a line of 3 in each round. Once your opponent has only 3 pieces left he can place it anywhere on the board.
