None of the collectibles are missable! You can search for missing items via chapter select at any time during the story or after beating the story.
As soon as you pick up a collectible it will be saved instantaneously. You don’t have to reach the next checkpoint and there’s no need to pick it up again if you die. When entering a nightmare level you must complete it by finding the key and then opening the silver gate / elevator at the end of the level.
In chapter select you can see how many collectibles you have found per level. While playing a chapter you can also check your collectible progress in the pause menu at any time. If you have the “Eagle Eye” perk it will show all collectibles on your map. You can farm this perk via checkpoint restart. Try to get it as early as possible to make the collectible hunt a bit easier.

Complete all nightmare levels
There are 9 Nightmare levels in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Completing all of them will earn you the “Die, Grösse, die!” trophy or achievement plus an additional trophy for each individual nightmare level.
There’s one in every chapter (prologue + 8 chapters). To play the nightmares you must find the hidden bed in every chapter. Interacting with the bed will load up the nightmare level. The objective is to locate the key and then open the gate at the end of the map. In this video guide I complete the nightmares as fast as possible and go straight to the key, then to the gate. The first nightmare level doesn’t have a key, so you only need to reach the gate.
You can get missing nightmares at any time via chapter select. If you have the Eagle Eye perk they will also be marked on the in-game map.

Chapter 6: Ruins
Towards the end of the “Ruins” chapter you will need to climb a wall with your pipes to reach a bridge. There are two paths you can take and it will determine whether you get to save Annette or Kessler. If you go left (through the bathhouse) you will be saving Annette and if go right (through the workshop) you will be saving Kessler. In order to progress in the story you will automatically have to save one of them. Unfortunately, you cannot save both in the same playthrough. You will have to replay the chapter via chapter select to get both trophies / achievements.
Depending on who you save you will also unlock a challenge map. Saving Annette unlocks the “bathhouse” challenge and saving Kessler unlocks the “workshop” challenge.
