Complete all 43 of Artyom’s hidden Diary pages.
There are a total of 43 hidden diary pages in Metro Last Light. You can see which ones you have already found by going to “Diary” in the pause menu. This overview shows in detail how many diary pages each chapter has and highlights the ones you already collected. The diary also shows the chapter you are currently in.
The diary pages are saved automatically after they have been collected. You can quit a chapter immediately after finding a diary without losing any progress. There’s also chapter select so you can mop up missing collectibles easily.

Musician
Use all Musical Instruments in the game.
There are a total of 17 musical instruments in Metro Last Light. Finding all of them will earn you the Musician trophy / achievement. There are only 4 types of instruments: Guitar, Balalaika, Accordion, Piano. You have to find and play all 17 though. Playing one instrument of each type is not enough to unlock the trophy. There is no progress tracker for the instruments, so make sure you do not forget any of them!

IMPORTANT: Doing this via chapter select won’t work (even if you play the chapter till the end)! You have to collect all instruments in correct order during one playthrough!

Equipment Stashes
Find all Equipment Stashes in the swamps.
There are a total of 16 Equipment Stashes in Metro Last Light. They are scattered across two chapters: Sundown (9 stashes) and Nightfall (7 stashes). After finding all stashes in Sundown you have to complete the chapter. Otherwise, the progress will be lost. Some of the stashes are actual crates, while others have a weapon or ammo on the ground.
There are lots of other crates and ammo locations in the swamps, but only the shown 16 do count for this trophy / achievement.

Back to the Past
See all Visions in the Dead City.
Location: The Dead City
This is story related and can only be done during the “The Dead City” chapter. There are a total of 7 visions. These visions make the world around you feel more alive for a few seconds. Everything gets bright colors and the environment changes to what it once was. Four of the visions are triggered automatically and there is no way to miss them. So only three of them are a little tricky to find. The first tricky one is after the playground vision, after you come out of the underground area in a house to your right (before the car accident vision). The next one is a woman in the shower in a house on the left after the car accident vision. The last tricky one can be found when taking the stairs down the roof, in a little side room. The trophy / achievement will pop after seeing the 7th vision inside the old Metro.

Freedom!
Free the Prisoners.
Location: Pavel
After going through the prison in the “Pavel” chapter you will have to use some sort of elevator and end up in an office area with many guards. After taking out the guards you need to open a gate with your comrade. Before opening the gate, check out the control panel on the right. There is a red switch. Activate it and the prisoners will be free.

A Present
Take the Custom Pistol from the Locked Box.
Location: Facility
Shortly after the Facility chapter starts, you will come to an area with some guards. Sneak past them until you come to two guards who are blocking your way. Let them finish talking (this takes a minute). They will split up and one of them goes back to where you came from. Follow him to his locker. When he opens the locker a gun will fall out. Eliminate the guard and take the gun to unlock this trophy / achievement.

Patron of the Arts
Watch the entire Theater Show.
Location: Bolshoi
During the “Bolshoi” chapter you will go through a theater. There is no way to miss this. In the front row, on the right side is a free seat. So sit down and wait for 10 minutes until the show is over. Do not go anywhere near the exit door. The trophy / achievement will pop soon after the announcer says: “Thank you and please come again”.

Scram
Kill all Watchmen before they reach the Railcar.
Location: Regina
During the “Regina” chapter you will be driving a railcar. At some point you will have to push another railcar out of the way. That’s when the Watchmen (mutated dog-like creatures) attack you. None of them may reach your own railcar, so you have to kill them very quickly. You might want to use your military rounds instead of the normal ammo. It does a lot more damage and will make this a lot easier.

Reunion
Find and return the crying child’s Teddy Bear.
Location: Venice
Shortly after the Venice chapter starts you will have to go to a strip club. Instead of going inside the strip club, go left and you will find a man offering a minigame for 10 coins. You have to beat this minigame three times. Simply kill all the mice in time and the man will give you a teddy. In the same room is a small child with his mother. Bring the teddy to him and the trophy / achievement will unlock.

Savior
Remove your mask when Lesnitsky demands it.
Location: Contagion
At the very end of the “Contagion” chapter, you will go through a burning area and encounter Lesnitsky. He is holding a hostage. You can either shoot him in the head or wait for instructions. For this trophy / achievement you may not shoot him! Just stand still and wait until he tells you to take off your gas mask. Take it off manually and he will release the hostage.

Forgotten
Find the Hidden Ammo in the abandoned part of the station on the QUARANTINE level.
Location: Quarantine
A few minutes after the Quarantine chapter starts, you will go past a crowd of people. In the next room are 4 ammo stashes. You have to find all 4 of them.
#1 – Behind the entry door (go down the stairs so the door closes and you can reach the ammo)
#2 – Go down the stairs and look behind a window
#3 – On the far left side of the corridor
#4 – In the same corridor, but on the right side (just a few steps away from the previous ammo stash)

Nobody’s Home
Ignore the Phone Call in the Anomaly.
Location: Khan
During the “Khan” chapter you will come to a flooded underground area (after burning the spider webs and breaking a barrier). A phone starts ringing. Just ignore the phone and keep walking.

Bloodlust
Kill all the Reds on the THE CHASE level.
Location: The Chase
During the “The Chase” chapter you have to kill all enemies. The only tricky part is in the very beginning, before getting on the train. There will be 3 waves of enemies. In the first two waves you have to kill the enemies on the railcars (8 enemies). In the third wave you have to kill 5 enemies on the train (1 on the back of the train, 4 standing at the railing). You might want to use your military rounds instead of the normal ammo. The military rounds do a lot more damage and make this easier. Once you are on the train you need to kill all the remaining enemies. The trophy / achievement will pop when reaching the end of the train.

Rain Man
Complete the BRIDGE level without a kill.
Location: Bridge
During the entire chapter “Bridge” you may not kill any enemies. This chapter is pretty much at the end of the game. You can basically do two things: sneak around enemies quietly or run through the level as fast as possible. Running is easier and you won’t run out of air (your gas mask consumes air over time and you will die if it’s empty). Just don’t attack any of the enemies at all and try not to get hit. Make use of your med packs if needed.

Revenge
Kill Pavel.
Location: Red Square
During the “Red Square” chapter you will hunt down Pavel. After wounding him you will see how he is attacked by demon hands. You can either walk towards him to save his life or stand back and watch him dying. For this trophy / achievement Pavel has to die. So just stand back and wait until a new cutscene starts.

Forest Guardian
Save the Bear from the Watchmen after the fight.
Location: The Garden
This can be done in the “The Garden” chapter, after the boss fight with the bear. Once the fight is over you will see some Watchmen attacking the back of the bear. Before moving on you need to kill all three Watchmen.

Van Helsing
Kill a Demon with the Helsing.
Location: The Dead City
You can do this in the chapter “The Dead City”. In the very beginning of this chapter you will see a vision of a playground and some children. After that you will have to drop down to a small underground area. Here you can find the Helsing. It’s at the very end of this underground area in a corner. Just a few minutes later you will encounter a demon (big winged creature) on a rooftop. Weaken the demon with your other weapons and kill it with the Helsing. If the demon dies too early you can still restart the checkpoint and try again.
