All Riddler Collectibles (Trophies, Riddles, Breakable Objects, Rioters)
There are a total of 315 Riddler Collectibles in Batman Arkham Knight (179 Trophies, 40 Riddles, 6 Bomb Rioters, 90 Breakable Objects).
Find all of their locations to complete Riddler’s challenges and to lock him up in GCPD. This will earn you the “Riddle Me That” trophy / achievement. It’s also required for 100% game completion and to initiate the full Knightfall Protocol.
You can interrogate Riddler Informants on the streets of Gotham to unlock the collectible locations on your world map. Riddler informants are highlighted in green color. Instead of killing them you must press Triangle (PS4) / Y (XB1) to interrogate them.
It’s recommended that you beat the story first before collecting anything! This is to ensure that you have all the required gadgets and can access all areas.
You can keep track of your progress in the Riddle Section of your world map. There you can see which objects you have found in each area. Please note that all 90 breakable objects together count only as 18 of the 243 Riddler challenges (every fifth one counts as one complete challenge).
The Riddler trophies are green question mark items that you must pick up (usually locked away in rooms that require certain gadgets). The Riddles are little Puzzles and require you to scan certain objects in the world from a specific distance. The bomb rioters are thugs with bomb implants and you must shoot them with an electric charge. The breakable objects need to be destroyed with your batmobile.

There are 10 Riddler Trials in Batman Arkham Knight. Completing all of them will earn you the following trophies / achievements:

They are all part of the side mission “Riddler’s Revenge”. You will automatically obtain this side mission very early in the game. You don’t need to find any of the Riddler trophies to play them. You will, however, need all 243 Riddler trophies to lock up Riddler in GCPD to finish this side mission! The 243 trophies are hidden around the open world. Interrogate riddler informants to reveal their locations on your world map.
To play the 10 trials you just need to go to their starting point (they must be done in the correct order). Completing a trial will immediately unlock the next one. You will also get 2 upgrade points per trial, so it’s well worth the time. After completing all 243 riddles & doing all 10 riddler trials you can lock up the Riddler in GCPD to conclude this side mission.
You can still do this after beating the main story (there is free roam after beating the game).

Freeze Blast Gadget Location
The Freeze Blast is the only Gadget in Batman Arkham Knight that you won’t get through natural progression. Unlike other gadgets you actually have to find and pick this one up yourself. The Freeze Blast can be found in Panessa Studios in the room after exiting the elevator.
It is required to get some of the Riddler Trophies! Thus it’s required to complete the game 100% and to get the full Knightfall ending. As the name suggests you can freeze enemies with it to render them immobile for a short time, making it useful for combat encounters. You can also freeze steam pipes with it to reach certain riddler collectibles that are otherwise inaccessible. See end of video for a short demonstration of this tool.
Run Through the Jungle
Fly under 3 main bridges between the islands in one continuous glide.
The basic strategy for this trophy / achievement is to use the Batmobile Eject or jump from a very high point and then dive bomb all the way down under the first bridge. Now pull the left stick all the way back to get as high into the air as possible. Keep using dive bombs and always pull the left stick back to glide up into the air. This allows you to glide for a very long time, almost endlessly as you will get a lot of momentum from the dive bombs and can fly high again.
You must fly under the 3 bridges that connect the islands. It’s recommended to start on the northern bridge (the smallest one) as it’s the hardest. The trophy takes roughly 30 seconds to unlock after flying under the third bridge!
Please note that you must progress in the story first to restore power to the bridges. Otherwise the bridges won’t be lowered.
Gotham After Midnight
Glide for 200 meters while less than 10 meters from the ground.
Simply go to a tall building and dive bomb all the way down. Pull the left stick back when you are just a couple of meters above the street and glide for 400 meters. The longer the dive bomb, the more momentum you will have. It’s also useful to set a marker on the map to see the distance you must travel. Be sure to fly very close to the ground, otherwise it won’t count. The trophy / achievement takes 30 seconds to unlock after finishing the glide.
Dirty Tricks
Achieve 3 minutes of drifting time in the Batmobile.
Simply hold down R2 + Square (PS4) / RT + X (Xbox One) for 3 minutes to drift in a circle. It is absolutely crucial that you accelerate into this drift so that the camera doesn’t zoom in on your batmobile.
If you do it while standing still the camera will zoom in and the drifting time will not count! Be sure to accelerate before drifting.
Point of Impact
Perform 5 perfect shots in a row with the Vulcan Gun without taking damage.
For this trophy / achievement you must use the machine gun of your Batmobile. Shoot the purple glowing sensors of 5 enemy tanks in a row without missing a shot and without taking damage. Only fire one bullet at each of them. If you hit the sensor they will explode immediately.
Works really great in the “One Man Army” AR Challenge (can be repeated unlimited times). There will be a text display every time you get a perfect shot. When it says “5x Perfect Bonus” you have completed the requirement. The trophy unlocks after the challenge is over.
Choice of Weapons
Use all five Batmobile weapons successfully in one tank battle.
You can only do this after making some good progress in the story. The Drone Virus & EMP are unlocked later in the story. They will automatically be part of the new Batmobile you get at the end of the game.
Here are the 5 weapons you need to use:
Vulcan Gun (Machine Gun)
60mm Cannon
Drone Virus (Consumes one energy bar, destroy enemy tanks to get energy)
EMP (Consumes one energy bar, destroy enemy tanks to get energy)
Missile Barrage (Consumes one energy bar, destroy enemy tanks to get energy)
Land a hit on an enemy tank with each one of them during a single enemy encounter. Can easily be done in Batmobile Combat AR challenges.
A Leap of Faith
Complete 8 different jumps over 100 meters.
For this trophy / achievement you must jump from 8 different ramps with your batmobile. You must travel a distance of 100 meters or more with each jump.
Luckily, there are a lot more ramps than you need. If you have trouble with one specific jump, simply move on to the next. This video shows 17 different ones, so you can pick what you find easiest. It’s recommended to slowly drive up the ramp first and put a marker at a 100 meter distance on your map. This way you’ll have a good estimate whether the jump counted or not.
Sometimes the game doesn’t register jumps properly or you simply fall a few meters short. Because of this it’s safer to do each jump several times. Don’t worry if the trophy / achievement doesn’t pop after the 8th jump. Simply keep doing the other jumps until it unlocks.
Brutality 101
Perform 15 different combat moves in one FreeFlow.
There are 27 available combat moves. Do any 15 of them in one combo (without the combo multiplier breaking). It works best in the AR combat challenge “Batman & Nightwing”. You must play through the story first to obtain certain gadgets and it’s highly recommended to buy all combat skills that unlock new moves. Keep in mind that the special moves require a full combo meter.

Blunt Trauma
Perform every type of predator takedown.
There are 22 predator moves that you must do for this trophy / achievement (see full list below). You can do them over the course of your story playthrough and in predator challenges, they count together. You must buy one upgrade called “Grappel Takedown” to do two of the moves. The rest can be done from the beginning on in the predator tutorial “Predator Fundamentals”.
VERY IMPORTANT: If you do them in predator challenges you should access the challenges through story mode (not the main menu). Deafeat all enemies and continue back to the open world (don’t hit retry). This is to make sure your progress is being saved properly. If you do it via AR challenge select in the main menu it will NOT save your progress properly in most cases!!
It is highly recommended you do everything in the “Predator Fundamentals” training mission (unlocks automatically shortly after the game starts). You can do all moves there, except for the ceiling takedown. Do this one in the “Smash and Grab” predator challenge (unlocked from Two-Face Bandit side mission). You can try to do multiple takedowns in one challenge playthrough, that way you will be done quicker. This video guide shows them in these two challenges, too. There are only 3 enemies in predator training, so you can finish the mission very quickly to trigger a new autosave.
Enemies have random spawn points in the predator training mission. Use the voice synthesizer to lure them to a position of your choice. This isn’t needed to unlock the trophy, but it’s certainly a helpful tool.
GLITCH WARNING: This trophy / achievement is known to be glitched in the sense that the game doesn’t properly register the takedowns. But it luckily isn’t unobtainable. All you need to do is redo all moves. There are reports of people having to redo each move 10+ times before it unlocked. If this doesn’t work for you, then reinstall the game and start a new playthrough. You can do all predator moves once you reach the tutorial very early in the game. Be sure to follow the instructions above, if you do it via AR challenge select in the main menu it is almost certain to glitch on you. Please note that the freeze blast takedown is not required. Certain Gadget takedowns such as Explosive Gel, Disruptor, Remote Hacking Tool do not count (the game counts those as “Special Takedowns”, shown by a text display in the top left corner).

The Monster Machine
Track down and apprehend the serial killer.
“The Perfect Crime” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find and scan 6 mutilated bodies. Completing this mission unlocks the “The Monster Machine” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to get access to all of these dead bodies. Some of them aren’t available until much later in the game. After finding all of them you must track down the serial killer Professor Pyg, defeat him and lock him up in GCPD.
Angel in the Dark
Complete the trials and prove you are a worthy successor.
“Heir to the Cowl” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find 4 of Azrael’s burning bat symbols on rooftops and play combat challenges with him. Completing this mission unlocks the “Angel in the Dark” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to get access to this side quest. It won’t be available until much later in the game.
Scar of the Bat
Cure the doctor.
“Creature of the Night” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. In it you must track down the Man-Bat. The starting point can be found in the middle of Miagani Island. Look for a flying creature between the skyscrapers (it’s slowly flying around this area in big circles). Use your detective vision to spot the creature more easily. Completing this mission unlocks the “Scar of the Bat” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to reach this location. After completing all 4 parts of this quest you can cure the man-bat and lock him up in GCPD.
Death of Innocents
Rescue station 17 fire crew.
“The Line of Duty” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find the locations of 15 firefighters and rescue them. Completing this mission unlocks the “Death of Innocents” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to get access to all of their locations. Some of them aren’t available until much later in the game. After rescuing the last firefighter you must free the captain and bring him back to GCPD to finish the quest.
Days of Fire
Extinguish the fires in Gotham City.
“Gotham on Fire” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find 3 Fire Stations that are under attack from Firefly. Completing this mission unlocks the “Days of Fire” trophy / achievement.
After finding a fire station you must hunt down Firefly with your batmobile until he runs out of fuel. Then you can eject from your batmobile to catch him.
Play through the main story to get access to this side quest.
Streets of Gotham
Destroy all of the militia checkpoints.
“Own the Roads” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find the locations of all 20 militia checkpoints and destroy the commander’s controller. Completing this mission unlocks the “Streets of Gotham” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to get access to all of their locations. You do not need any upgrades for them! In this video I show you how to get each one without buying any skills. Use the timeline in the video description to browse through their locations if you’re missing only one specific checkpoint.
This is also part of Deathstroke’s quest line. When you complete Own the Roads, Campaign for Disarmament and Occupy Gotham you will get to fight Deathstroke.
Gotham Underground
Defuse all of the militia explosive ordinance in Gotham City.
“Campaign for Disarmament” is a Most Wanted Side Mission in Batman Arkham Knight. You must find the locations of all 14 militia bombs / explosives and destroy them. Completing this mission unlocks the “Gotham Underground” trophy / achievement.
Play through the main story to get access to all of their locations. The first bomb is destroyed automatically as part of the story on Bleake island very early in the game (unmissable). This activates the side quest and you can start looking for other bombs. To destroy a bomb you must use the power winch of your batmobile, upload a virus to it, then fend off the attacking drones while the bomb is being hacked. To trigger a controlled explosion you must again use the power winch and slowly accelerate after the enemy forces have been defeated.
This is also part of Deathstroke’s quest line. When you complete Own the Roads, Campaign for Disarmament and Occupy Gotham you will get to fight Deathstroke.
A Blade of Memory
Destroy all Teeth, Balloons and Jack-In-The-Boxes.
There are 30 Collectibles in the “A Matter of Family” DLC of Batman Arkham Knight (15 Joker Teeth, 10 Balloons, 5 Jack-in-The-Boxes). Finding all of them unlocks the “A Blade of Memory” trophy / achievement.
They are not marked on the map. The best way to find them is to use detective vision. You can still collect all of them after finishing the DLC story (there’s free roam after the story, nothing is missable). If you want you can also collect them right in the beginning, they are all in the outside area (there aren’t any in story buildings). Use the Batarang to destroy Joker Teeth and Balloons. Jack-in-The-Boxes can be activated when standing near them.

For this trophy / achievement you must complete 5 unmarked puzzles. You can still do this after finishing the story of this DLC (there is free roam after the story).
Use the remote hacking device to activate the puzzles. The first four can be done in any order. But the fifth one only becomes available after the others have been completed.

I think that the professor Pyg mission is glitched. Or at least it was when it first came out in 2015 for me. I wasn’t able to do the finisher move on professor Pyg and so I kept dying. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so is there a way around it?

I just did it yesterday and it was not glitched, however, there was a certain distance and angle at the operation table that I had to maintain for the environment takedown option to pop up and be done. At first, I didn’t succeed and had to retry, but the second time, it worked. Just wait until he is alone and the table is blue!
