Vergil is the final boss in DmC: Devil May Cry. Beating him on Hell and Hell difficulty will earn you the “And welcome to Hell!” trophy / achievement. You will die in one hit, but you have a total of 3 lives. You should beat the game on Dante Must Die first. This will unlock the “Super Dante” ability which gives you unlimited Devil Trigger. You will deal more damage against Vergil when Devil Trigger is active and his clone cannot attack you.
Tactics
Vergil is very quick, but he will become vulnerable when attacking. Use Angel Evade to dodge incoming attacks. Hit him with your sword whenever you have a chance. Using Osiris Shredder will break his defense and he will immediately start an attack. His most dangerous move is where he throws multiple blades in quick succession. You can either counter a blade to throw it back at him or jump in the air and use the glide ability. At the end of the fight you should make use of your shotgun. Jump around, use Angel Evade and attack when he is charging up an attack. Before you can land the final hit you have to activate Devil Trigger to get rid of Vergil’s clone.
