Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Treasure of the Secret Springs Walkthrough

Treasure of the Secret Springs is a Side Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Treasure of the Secret Springs side mission and where to find the treasure location.

Quest Info: Sturnida, Goflam’s, and Sherfin’s. Hidden treasure sleeps in the center of the three secret hot springs in the mountains. Guide the three waters to that place. When it fills, the slumbering treasure will awaken once more. The Sturnida secret hot spring is northwest of Rito Village, but just where could the treasure mentioned in the book be hidden?

This quest starts in Rito Village by talking to Tulin. He is found at the top of Rito Village up the stairs.

Solve the Secret Hot Springs Riddle

For this quest you are only given a riddle and there are no waypoint markers. The solution is to go to the center point between the 3 hot springs “Sturnida” – “Goflam” – “Sherfin”-

Step 1: Go north of Rito Village to Biron Snowshelf (Coordinates: -3960, 3279, 0240). This is roughly the middle point between the 3 hotsprings outlined on the map. There on the side of a mountain look for a huge ice block. Melt this ice block to reveal a cave entrance. Easiest method is to use a Flame Emitter zonai device. Alternatively, put some wood and light it on fire with a flint to by shooting it with fire fruit.

Step 2: Enter the cave behind this ice block. At the end of the cave are destructible rocks. Blow them up by attaching a Bomb Flower to an arrow (hold ZR to aim and hold UP to select Bomb Flower). You can find Bomb Flowers at the cave entrance. Drop down after destroying the rocks.

Step 3: At the bottom of the cave is a gust of wind. Glide over it, then in midair aim your bow and attach Bomb Flowers again, shoot the explosive arrow at the big piles of rubble on the side walls. You must destroy the 3 largest piles of rubble. Each of them will release some water that flows down. After enough water has flown out, a secret path opens at the bottom of the cave.

Step 4: When you get a cutscene of the secret path opening, fly down to the bottom and enter the newly opened area. There you find a chest, open it.

Reward: The chest contains your quest reward, the “Vah Medoh Divine Helm”. Picking it up completes the quest. It only has 2 armor but it adds cold resistance which is useful to survive in cold regions.
