The Sludge-Covered Statue is a Main Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Sludge-Covered Statue story mission.
Requirement: Automatically triggered during Main Quest: Regional Phenomena, after completing the main objective in Lanayru (east region) to talk to the villagers in Zora’s Domain.
Reward: None
Quest Info: You arrived in Zora’s Domain only to find its people struggling with the sludge falling from the sky. The statue in the center of the domain holds significance to the Zora, and it is dripping with sludge.
Objectives:
- Remove the Sludge from the Statue
Starting Location: The Sludge-Covered Statue
This quest starts automatically during Main Quest: Regional Phenomena, after going to the quest marker in the east of the map (Lanayru region). After talking to the villagers in Zora’s Domain you have to clean a sludge-covered statue.
Remove the Sludge from the Statue
Directly behind the quest givers is the sludge-covered statue. Same place where the quest started. Open your inventory > select a Splash Fruit > click “Hold” > to return to game > to drop it in front of the statue.
Need Splash Fruit?: If you don’t have a Splash Fruit, they grow all over this region on small trees. For example, some grow directly in front of Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, which is west of here. If you haven’t used the Skyview Tower yet, it’s highly recommended to do this now to unfog the map.
Now attack the Splash Fruit, it will release water that washes away the sludge. If you place it too far away it won’t work, it must be really close to the staute.
Talk to the same quest givers again. They will now give you Main Quest: Sidon of the Zora.
This finishes The Sludge-Covered Statue Main Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While here, you can also complete the Mogawak Shrine.
Next Quest: Sidon of the Zora
