The Spirit Temple is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). It’s the 5th Temple in the game, needed to recruit the fifth Sage called Mineru. The Spirit Temple is exclusively reached during Main Quest: Guidance from Ages Past.
This walkthrough will guide you through the Spirit Temple from start to end. It’s actually the shortest of all temples in the game and only consists of a boss fight without puzzles.
Spirit Temple Location
This temple is found in the southeast of the Depths map at Coordinates 1402, -3213, -0597. It’s gated behind Main Quest: Guidance from Ages Past. As part of this quest you will need to attach rockets to the back of Mineru’s Construct to fly up to the temple.
Spirit Temple Solution
- After flying up the temple, there will be an owl statue straight ahead. Ride on Mineru’s Construct and click the A-Button to inspect the statue. Mineru will shine a green laser on it which activates an elevator. You will automatically ride down this elevator in a cutscene.
- Walk across the red gloom on the ground. While riding Mineru’s Construct you won’t take damage from it. At the end of it you get trapped and a boss fight starts against a big mech-type enemy.
- Defeat the boss, called Seized Construct. First, attach the spiked balls around the arena to Mineru’s Construct. You have to always block attacks with ZL. Then attack 3 times to push the boss into the barbed wire around the arena. Rinse and repeat. When the boss uses a blue blaster shot, or a yellow electric whip, run in circles around it to evade those attacks. When it uses melee again you block and strike 3 times. In the second phase the boss will fly in the air, walk underneath it while blocking with ZL. The boss automatically lands after a little while, then you can attack again like in the first phase.
- After defeating the boss, you get a health upgrade, and a teardrop in front of you. Collect the tear to finish the temple.
That’s all there is to finishing the Spirit Temple. It’s relatively straightforward, only the boss might take a few tries.
