In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK), you can increase your inventory size for melee weapons, bows, and shields. This guide explains how. You will need two things: find the quest giver called Hestu, and Korok Seeds. Then you can trade him Korok Seeds in exchange for more inventory slots.
Step 1: Find Hestu
Start Side Adventure Hestu’s Concerns. Hestu looks like a tree. Depending on your story progress you can find him in one of two places:
Before finishing Main Quest: Regional Phenomena, he can be found in Hyrule Ridge, northwest of New Serenne Stable.
After partially finishing Main Quest: Regional Phenomena, he can be found in Lookout Landing, at the south gate next to the merchants.
Step 2: Trade Korok Seeds to Hestu for more Inventory Slots
Trade Korok Seeds to Hestu. The first inventory upgrade costs 1 Korok Seed. Additional inventory upgrades cost more seeds. You can always pick from 1 category you want to upgrade (melee, bow, shield). Each upgrade grants 1 extra slot.
Where to find Korok Seeds?
Korok Seeds are rewards from helping Koroks, little crying guys that have miniquests for you. You will frequently find them all over the map sitting on the floor. They are most often near stables. You can also get Korok Seeds from opening chests. There are hundreds of these throughout the game so you should find a good amount naturally.
Having more inventory space, especially for melee weapons, comes in handy since there’s no way to store your weapons elsewhere. This way you can carry special weapons such as axes for cutting down trees or rock hammers for destroying ore deposits, while still having plenty of space for main weapons.
