Gutanbac Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is found on Great Sky Island and visited during Main Quest “The Closed Door“.
Upon entering the Shrine you will get the Ascend ability. It allows you to move upward through solid material and emerge on top of it. Basically, you can beam through ceilings.
Follow these steps to solve the Shrine:
- Press
+ 
to select Ascend, stand under the ceiling at the end of the path, press 
to use it. This beams you up one floor. Press again to exit.
- Stand under the big pillar and use Ascend again (bonus: you can also use it under the small pillar for an extra chest). Beware, there’s an enemy upstairs and it will attack right away. To the right of this enemy are some wooden boxes you can destroy and then use Ascend behind them to reach another hidden chest.
- Cut the two strings holding up the bridge. Then stand under the bridge and use Ascend to beam up. Then use Ascend on the moving platform. When it moves underneath the top platform use Ascend a second time to reach the very top.
Now simply interact with the green shrine. It restores power to your hand and rewards you with a Light of Blessing.
You can now proceed to the Temple of Light in the north of Great Sky Island to open the closed door. Refer to The Closed Door Walkthrough.
