Honk-Honk is a feature in Yakuza Like a Dragon where you find people that can randomly spawn in 5 specific locations, where when found you can then pay them money for replenishing your health and increasing some of your Personality stats. This guide shows all of the Honk Honk Locations. Getting all of them unlocks the Honk-Honk Hero trophy or achievement.
There are NPCs in each of the overworld locations: 3 in Ijincho, 1 in Sotonbori, and 1 in Kamurocho. They have a chance of appearing each time the map loads from using a taxi, so the easiest way to check for them is to just take taxis around to each location to see if they spawn, cycling through.
You can also do this to grind your personality stats too if you need to, though it is somewhat boring and might be more engaging to finish Part-Time Hero challenges or buying the item from Dragon Kart.
When you have found and paid for the services of all the Honk-Honk NPCs, you earn the trophy Honk-Honk Hero .

I am having no luck with finding the Honk-Honk Princess and Honk Honk Man it’s driving me insane
rean says
I’m having the same issue with those specific two and its also driving me insane did you figure out a way to get them to spawn?
Mark says
Both of those guys are VERY elusive. Just keep travelling between taxis and they’ll eventually spawn. I just spent half an hour getting them to spawn. Just pray on RNJesus.
Zombie NuuNuu says
Do these not show up at all if your personality stats are at max? Can’t get any of them to spawn anymore since I got stats at max for personality stuff. Hate to think I have to grind the game all over again just to get these done.
pablowhites says
I am having the exact same issue, with the Honk Honk Man and the princess (Kamurocho). Trust me I’ve been trying this out for +3 hours going from one area to the other, and I feel like they’re never gonna spawn… I also have all max personality stats, maybe that’s the problem?
Maybe we should show this issue to the devs, this seems like a big bug… its the only thing remanining for the 100% completion for me LOL
Robbie says
Get a taxi far away from the location of the honk honk person, then run to them. This worked for me and many others. It appears to allow them to spawn in the location. If you get a taxi near the location they don’t always show up.
**This is to help anyone struggling to spawn the honk honk people!**
Gros says
I just need the uncle and the kamurocho one.
Can you just repeat the same closest taxi on the same map or do you need to switch map each time?
A says
the comments worry me a bit, I had full stats before honk honk man. but after a fight near he spawn, in Sotenbori it appear after a taxi ride, in Kamurocho first thing I do was going back to Ijincho to finish Dragon Kart, when I return, I took the cab to the closest one and there she was first try
Kat says
Don’t you worry. Just keep trying.
Spethro says
Im having the same issue as you guys. Been travelling for hours and still no success. Any ideas?
Eric Doyon says
change for daytime at survive bar they appear very quickly for me during the day and never during the night
OmRobby says
Honk honk man and the one on Kamurocho are not there. Same as you guys, I’ve spent of hours trying but still no luck. I even started a New Game but the results were still the same.
PaleVoyager says
Tested and confirmed. One Honk-Honk is spawned at any given time. Cycle through all 5 locations and pay them to spawn another. Eventually, you’ll get the one(s) you want.
Kimochi says
When you say you can grind them for stats, does that mean they keep respawning?
Kat says
Yes they do.
Steve says
so i thought shit was weird too but i eventually found them all in the order of :
1-daytime
3-nighttime
4-daytime
2-nighttime
5-daytime
Blaspberry says
I found all three Ijincho honk-honks at night.

One tip I’ve found on another website in a thread (I can’t find it again now that I say this though so I can’t credit the original post) is to go to Survive, change the time to day and night twice (I did two full cycles personally, just to be on the safe side), and it’ll help. I did that, and all of my three remaining honk-honks (Sotenbori, Honk Man, and Kamurocho) spawned immediately without having to do any taxi-ing other than just getting there, which saved my sanity. I don’t know if it’ll work for those having issues with this, but I’ve only seen it mentioned in one spot, in one comment, yet it was the only technique that worked for me. Not even saving/reloading did it until I did this.
tisyusu says
Can confirm this works for anyone still trying, only one that didn’t spawn immediately was the one in Sotenbori, just went back and repeated the cycle but ended at nighttime.
All other Honk Honk NPCs spawned during the day for me.
Revolver says
Anyome still stuck on thos trophy, I can tell you exactly what the problem is. Don’t spawn at the nearest taxi to them, instead fast travel as far away from the honk honk you are after and run there by foot. If you spawn anywhere near them they wont appear.
VZ says
So VERY IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION!
The honk honk princess (the kamurocho one) does NOT increase charisma. I know because that’s the last stat I need to increase. The first time I found her it did give me a boost to charisma. But ONLY because she was the final honk honk person I needed to find. I tried her twice after that and nothing.
