Battle Flag 1
From Battle Flag 1, continue through the archway and head downstairs.
Interact with the crank wheel to drain the canal and then climb down below.
Dispose of the Zhupolong on the opposite side of the canal first and open the chest that’s behind him.
Then, continue through the corrupted side path. You’ll soon meet a three-way split.
First, head into the middle room for some loot, but watch out for the Shuigui here. Then, leave this alcove and head right. Proceed to the ledge on your right, then up a second one.
Drop down into the room to find Marking Flag 1.
Now return to the split and continue on to find a ladder. Climb it up, then a second one and you’ll be back outside. Continue on and you’ll eventually reach the other side of the bridge. Continue down the one and only path, making sure you avoid the archers’ arrows.
When you get close to the bridge, don’t cross it just yet, but veer off into the left side path, then climb up the rooftop.
Continue along the rooftops and you’ll eventually be able to sneak up on the same two archers from before and kick down a shortcut ladder.
Now you can cross the bridge and kill the axe-wielding soldier that control the corruption of Battle Flag 2. Once he’s down, raise it.
Battle Flag 2
Return to the start of the bridge and head left and cross the red one. Then, raise Battle Flag 3.
Battle Flag 3
Facing Battle Flag 3, head left, dispose of the soldiers and then head downstairs to the canal to drain it.
Jump off and continue on. When you see a Shuigui, check the platforms above her to find some loot, then continue on to find a stronger version of the Shuigui.
In the same room, climb up the white-painted ledges to reach Marking Flag 2.
Drop back down and climb up the next two ladders to be back outside. Kill the soldier and then open the gate for a shortcut back to Battle Flag 3.
Now continue on, clear the courtyard of all soldiers and then make your way to the bridge with the wooden platform.
Cross it and you’ll see Battle Flag 4. However, it’s corrupted. The corruption is controlled by the nearby spear-wielding soldier. When you’re done, raise it.
Battle Flag 4
From battle Flag 4, go through the opening that’s left of it and you’ll find Marking Flag 3.
Now continue past Battle Flag 4 and branch off to the left as soon as you can. In an alley to the left you can find a soldier guarding a Shitieshou.
Continue along the scripted path and when you get to a split, head right, then right again to find a spear-wielding soldier protecting a chest. Kill the soldier, then open it to find a Golden Cicada Shell.
Now cross the bridge, defeat the soldiers and proceed downstairs by the canal to operate the crank wheel that drains it.
Perform an aerial attack on the Zhupolong below, then finish him off. Now continue along the canal and go through the corrupted path.
Kill the Shuigui and continue on until you get to a large room with two terracotta soldiers in the middle. Proceed to the middle platform to find a chest containing a Golden Cicada Shell.
From here, use the other set of pillars to reach a small side area leading to a ladder.
Climb up this ladder to reach Marking Flag 4.
Go back down and continue down the main path to reach another room with a Shuigui and a Warlock casting spells from one of the ledges above.
Climb the same ledge he is on and continue past it to find a terracotta soldier next to a white-painted ledge leading you to Marking Flag 5.
Now drop back down into the room, climb up the stairs and then the ladder to get back outside. As soon as you move, you’ll be invaded by Gao Shun. Let him come to you and use your ally to dispose of him if necessary.
Next, open the gate for a shortcut and then head through the wall rubble.
Defeat the soldier standing in front of the opening and then continue through and to the right to eventually reach some scaffolding leading you to a rooftop where Battle Flag 5 is. Kill the Ninja controlling the corruption, then raise it.
Battle Flag 5
Drop down the rooftop and cross the red bridge to find Marking Flag 6.
Now cross the bridge again and head downstairs to drain the canal. Once you’ve drained it, return to the ladders that you used before to get to this area and drop back down into the sewers. From the bottom of the ladder, get past the two terracotta soldiers to get to a canal that you couldn’t cross earlier. Drop down, then back up again to find Dragon Vein Essence at the very top.
Now return to the canal you drained and drop down. Climb back up using the nearby ladder and head through the dragon’s head.
Continue along the sewers, killing Shuigui and Warlocks. You’ll eventually reach a room with two stronger versions of a Shuigui. From the entrance of this room, check the first hallway on your left to find Taoist’s Backyard Key.
You will need this key to access Taoist’s backyard at Mt. Tianzhushan to get a collectible. Then, continue into another side hallway to get to Marking Flag 7.
Now continue up the rubble to reach Battle Flag 6, the final one for this level.
Battle Flag 6
From Battle Flag 6, head through the dragon’s mouth and you’ll be back outside. Continue on to find a crank that activates a gate back to Battle Flag 2.
From Battle Flag 2, call on more reinforcement and you’re ready to take on the boss.
Xiahou Dun Boss Fight
Xiahou Dun is a massive winged demon wielding a giant switchglaive. Plus, his entire body is on fire, meaning that he can also deal elemental damage. Make sure you have one extra reinforcement for this fight as it may go a long way. Most of his attacks, including his Critical Blows, are charged-up spins. This fight can prove somewhat chaotic: he moves and flies very fast and his body easily blends in with the Critical Blow red markers, making it hard to nail the deflection timing. For the entire fight, keep your distance to give yourself a bit more time to get ready to deflect when he flies towards you. When he does, you can cast Imposing Slab in his trajectory to deal some Spirit damage and simultaneously slow him down a bit if you don’t feel like you’re going to deflect. When he casts fire balls, these can be deflected too. Additionally, try to reserve some of your Spirit gauge to encourage your ally reinforcements. A somewhat tricky fight, but if you follow the outlined strategy, it’s not too bad.
