The Walking Dead: The Final Season contains 19 Collectible Locations. Finding all Collectables unlocks two trophies or achievements per episode. There’s always one for finding all and one for placing all collectibles in your room.
Some of them are missable and tied to specific dialogue choices as will be pointed out in the collectible guide below. You can keep track of which collectibles you have found in the “Extras” section of the Main Menu. You actually have to quit out to the main menu for this.
Trophies / Achievements earned:
- Scavenger (Episode 1)
- To Make It Look Nice (Episode 1)
- Gatherer (Episode 2)
- Personal Touch (Episode 2)
- Hunter (Episode 3)
- Feels Like Mine (Episode 3)
- Survivor (Episode 4)
- Home At Last (Episode 4)
Episode 1: Done Running
Act 1:
#1: Deer Skull – After exiting the car and encountering your first zombie, walk around the house to the left to find a deer skull (before entering the house).
#2: Plastic Flowers – In the school, when you have to follow the music to find AJ; go straight ahead and look behind the stairs. There you can find some plastic flowers.
#3: Real Flowers – After defending the school from a zombie attack in the woods you will have to help AJ make friends at the school. Check on the far right side of the area, to the right of where Louis and Omar are cooking dinner in a pot. There’s a bouquet of flowers in the dark corner of the area.
#4: AJ’S Drawing – After dinner, when back in the bedroom, let AJ keep the drawing kit. DO NOT give it to the girl that comes in, pick dialogue “You can keep it if you like”. Then AJ draws a picture and hands it to you.
[Note: In the extras menu this is number 6 so unlike other collectibles, it’s out of order]
Act 2:
Note: You might want to make a manual save game backup at the start of Act 2. That’s because there are two paths: going fishing and going rabbit hunting. For all collectibles, you must choose to go fishing but it will lock you out of the rabbit-hunting trophies. With a backup you can quickly jump back here after the story to mop up remaining trophies.
#5: Cat Skull – Marlon will ask whether you want to go fishing or hunting rabbits. Pick dialogue FISH WITH VIOLET AND BRODY. When you arrive at the fishing hut, immediately turn around to find a cat skull over the fireplace.
#6: Tenn’s Drawing – After returning from the train station, Tenn (young boy) will draw a picture at the dinner table. When he asks if you want to be in the picture, pick dialogue SURE, DRAW ME IN. Then he hands you the picture. This is the last collectible and will unlock the “Scavenger” trophy / achievement.
Act 3:
At the very start of Act 3, be sure to walk around the room and place all 6 collectibles to unlock “To Make It Look Nice”.
Episode 2: Suffer The Children
Act 1:
No collectibles here.
Act 2:
#1: Wild Boar Skull – Outside of the Greenhouse, a bit to the left of where Ruby is standing.
#2: Mushroom – Inside the first area of the Greenhouse, just behind Ruby. Eating a Mushroom will also yield the “Edible” trophy.
#3: Venus Flytrap – Inside the second area of the Greenhouse (Laboratory). Right in front of Clementine on the edge of a flowerbed. This is the last collectible and will unlock the “Gatherer” trophy.
Act 3:
No collectibles here.
At the beginning of Act 3, be sure to place all the collectibles in your room before going to sleep to unlock “Personal Touch”.
Episode 3: Broken Toys
Act 1:
#1: School Pennant – Just as you start walking in the basement, it will be located just a tiny bit to the front-left of you, hanging on the wall.
#2: Sketch Pad – In the next section of the basement, located on a shelf to the left side. Still a bit before Rosie, who you’d also want to pet for “Best Girl“.
#3: Horseshoe – In the area where you have to scope out the Raider’s boat. It will be behind you once you’ve regained control. It is next to a small patch of grass – pretty hard to spot.
#4: Rabbit’s Foot – Also in the same area as the Horseshoe. It is located next to a small tree close to Willy, who is your companion sitting to the far right of the area.
#5: Toy – Outside of the Barn. Before talking to James, you need to check the bales of hay to his left. The toy is laying on the ground there.
#6: Windchime – Outside of the Barn. Before talking to James, you want to check the right side of the barn, where AJ is kneeling. The chimes are hanging on the wall of the barn. This is the last collectible and will unlock the “Hunter” trophy. Talking to AJ here and encouraging him to lick the salt-lick will yield the “Did You Lick It?” trophy.
Act 2:
No collectibles here.
At the beginning of Act 2, be sure to place all the collectibles in your room before talking to AJ to unlock “Feels Like Mine”.
Act 3:
No collectibles here.
Episode 4: Take Us Back
Act 1:
#1: Skin Mask – MISSABLE due to (earlier) decisions, but OPTIONAL for the trophies.
- If James died at the end of Episode 3, AJ will find this one automatically at the wooden pier, after you have taken the bow from an enemy and killed him.
- If James survived Episode 3, he will join your group a few minutes later and you will enter a cave together. In the cave, an argument will break out.
- If you pick rather harsh dialogue options (“Shut up” / calling his non-violence-approach “Childish Fantasy” and so on), he will leave the cave and AJ will find his mask on the floor a bit later.
- If you pick the less drastic dialogue options, James will leave the group with his mask, making you miss this one.
#2: Crystal – When you enter the cave and are supposed to craft a torch, head to the left side of the cave, close to the stream. It will lay on the ground.
#3: Toy – When you enter the cave and are supposed to craft a torch, head to the right side of the cave, close to the stream. It will lay on the ground.
Act 2:
No collectibles here.
Act 3:
#4: Skull Fragment: After the fishing sequence, you need to head in the nearby cabin. Next to the entrance, there is a free-standing stove. The Skull is located to the left of it. This is the last collectible and will unlock the “Survivor” trophy / achievement.
At the very end of Act 3, be sure to place all the collectibles in your room before placing Clem’s hat on the desk to unlock “Home At Last”.
That’s all the collectible locations in The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Congrats on finding all of them! 🙂

i let the girl take the kit,but she did let AJ finish the drawing. if you’re nice to everyone, they’re nice to you.
HippieChicMeggs says
Was about to point out the same thing. Regardless, which choice you make in the room, she will let AJ finish his drawing before taking the kit.
Little Cat Lost says
I let Violet take the box with the colored pencils and I still got AJ’s Drawing. She let AJ finish his drawing anyway, before taking it. This may depend on whether you were nice to her earlier. I’m not sure.
Also, the Cat Skull can also be found on the hunting path. It’s in the grass on the edge of the path just a few feet away from Aasim (the boy with the bow). Grab it before you choose to talk to either of the boys.

I wasn’t nice to her in my current gameplay, she still let AJ finish. I can also confirm the skull in the grass.
HippieChicMeggs says
You can also get “Make it look nice” achievement before blowing out the candle
HippieChicMeggs says
correction any of the achievements for placing collectibles can be achieved before blowing out the candle
Ethan says
I placed everything down and didn’t get the last achievement.
