The Quarry Breaker Puzzle Solution (Chapter 8: Save Jacob from Cage)

In Chapter 8 of The Quarry you can save Jacob from a cage by solving a Breaker Box Puzzle. Choosing the correct Breakers successfully is mandatory for Jacob to survive until the end of the game.

Here’s the solution:

1. HELP JACOB
2. CHOOSE BREAKERS 1+2
3. CONTINUE
4. CHOOSE BREAKERS 2+3

This results in his side of the cage being opened, thus Jacob can safely leave. The second cage with the monster in it will stay locked, thus it can’t attack Jacob. If you were to leave Jacob in the cage or open the wrong side of the cage it would result in Jacob dying later in Chapter 9. But even if you were to mess up here you unlock Chapter Select after the story and could replay from Chapter 8 onward to fix the mistake, without needing to replay the entire game from scratch.
