Introduction
Welcome to The Outer Worlds Trophy Guide! The Outer Worlds is the new game from Obsidian Entertainment, taking place in an alternate history spacefaring future and incorporating elements from all their prior games. Gameplay is similar to Fallout though smaller in scope, and with a larger focus on skill setup and dialogue similar to their isometric RPGs like Pillars of Eternity. The game is somewhat linear without the same world scope as a Fallout game, but there are a large number of progression possibilities due to the dialogue and skill systems. The list consists about half of miscellaneous tasks for killing enemies a certain way or doing specific things, and about the other half for completing quests and doing ones a certain way. There are a few mutually exclusive trophies that you will need to make save backups for if you want to do all of them in one playthrough, and you will be highly recommended to do a separate playthrough for Supernova difficulty which adds some survival elements to it.
Step 1: Play Through the Story, Making New Saves Often and Aiming to Complete as Many Side Quests as Possible
For the first playthrough it’s recommended playing on Normal (or Hard if you want a bit of a challenge), save often before major choices and aim to complete as much of the side content as you can before progressing. Most side content related to trophies you can’t lock yourself out of without being actively evil to factions and people, or just ignoring it until you’re stuck in the final area. Be aware of the miscellaneous trophy requirements, you can work on those as you’re playing so you don’t need to farm for them later.
Along the way, follow the missable trophies / achievements walkthrough to get everything in a single playthrough: The Outer Worlds Tips & Missables Guides.
Step 2: Reload Your Save and Complete any Remaining Miscellaneous Trophies and/or Start a New Playthrough for Missed Side Quest Trophies
If you didn’t get it all done prior you can reload your save now to before the point of no return. Work on any kill/skill trophies and side content. Alternatively, for some of the side content you can start a new playthrough and rush through the story to get to the required spots on lowest difficulty. Only going for main story objectives you can get to the end of the game in about 3 – 5 hours, so any missed side quests aren’t a massive deal.
Step 3: Complete the Game on Supernova Difficulty
Your last step will be to complete the game on Supernova difficulty. It’s highly recommended leaving this until last so that you know the game very well and know how to progress, as you will want to optimize your story progress and avoid as much fighting as possible on this difficulty.
Note About Missables:
Due to the way this game is set up, all trophies except for the main story ones and completing the game are technically missable. The game has a point of no return that it will warn you about (and prompt you to make a save before) and there is no post story play or NG+. Once you go to the final area you are stuck there, and even more so when you get to the final boss room you can’t go back in the location so can’t even kill more enemies at that point. If you didn’t make a save before progressing to the final area you can get yourself entirely stuck and require that you start a new playthrough. Cumulative trophies do seem to count across saves though, so if you don’t earn ones in your first playthrough and start a second to do missing stuff you don’t start them completely over.

The Outer Worlds Platinum Trophy Collected all trophies for The Outer Worlds. |

The Outer Worlds Completed The Outer Worlds on any difficulty. |
||||||||||||
Story related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is for completing the game on any difficulty, regardless of what ending you get or how you get there. |
||||||||||||
Hard Completed The Outer Worlds on hard difficulty. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is awarded for completing the game on Hard difficulty, which gives the enemies more health and makes them deal more damage to you. You must start on this difficulty to earn this trophy, you can’t switch to it at the end of the game. This trophy stacks with the trophy for completing the game on Supernova, so if you complete the game on that first it will also award this trophy.
Supernova Completed The Outer Worlds on supernova difficulty. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is awarded for completing the game on Supernova difficulty. This is the highest difficulty in the game, and includes the health and damage increase from Hard, along with some survival elements specific to this difficulty. You can only manually save on your ship, you must eat/drink/sleep to stay alive, and your companions actually die when they lose all their health instead of being knocked out. Because of this it’s highly recommended you complete everything else first then go for this trophy on its own in a new playthrough.
Supernova can seem daunting, but the worst part of the game is basically right at the start when you’re in Emerald Vale due to your lack of weapons and equipment. Companions are also generally useless in combat on this difficulty and will immediately die if they lose all their health, so if you are bringing them with you for stat boosts you should change their settings so that they don’t engage in combat and stick close to you. If you’re going to go into an area to fight enemies you can direct them to stand in one spot with so that they don’t get in the way. When specing your character at the start of the game you should put your bonus points into Charm and Temperment so that they are both High, then the remaining bonuses into Dexterity and Perception so that they are both Good. For skills you primarily want to put everything into Dialog, Stealth, and Tech, then with some extra progress into Ranged. During the course of the game you should aim to get Ranged up to around 50 overall for Handguns/Longuns, then everything else into Dialog/Stealth/Tech. If you want the easiest way through the end of the game you want to be able to reach 100 Persuasion and 90 Science, then if you feel you can stretch it 100 Intimidate (you don’t need to do this with High Temperment though because you can boost that with a consumable for the one speech check at the end of the game that requires it). In Emerald Vale you should aim to finish everything possible before making the choice of where to get the power core from and leaving the planet. Then once you get to the Groundbreaker you can work more easily on only finishing side quests with minimal or no combat. You can work the same angle as a playthrough where you aim to get all missables and play both sides, as this gives extra quests that require little combat and more objectives for extra xp. When you reach the end of the game and are making the choice where to send the Hope send it to Terra 2 so that Phineas gets captured, then you can get through the entirety of Tartarus with a UDL disguise and speech checks to avoid the final boss. You can follow the general same route as laid out in the missables guide to get through the game, just avoiding the more combat heavy quests if you wish: The Outer Worlds Tips & Missables Guide |
||||||||||||
Best Friend Recruited a companion. |
||||||||||||
Companions are NPC characters you can meet in the game who will come along with you and help you out during gameplay in various ways. The first companion you can recruit is Parvati, who you can agree to have come along and help you when you agree to help Reed Tobson during the main quest Stranger in a Strange Land in the town of Edgewater.
The Harder They Fall Killed a mega creature. |
||||||||||||
Mega Creatures are specific types of hostile animals that have more health, deal more damage, and are much larger than normal versions of creatures. They can be found in various places around the game world, and will respawn when you leave and return to certain areas. You’ll know they are a mega creature because it will say “Mega” right in their name, in front of the normal name of the type of creature they are. Once you kill your first one you will earn this trophy.
Got Your Back Killed 50 enemies with companion abilities. |
||||||||||||
Companion abilities are mapped to either or , and make your current companion corresponding to each button do a unique attack to your currently targeted enemy. For this trophy you need to kill a total of 50 enemies using companion abilities. You should make sure to actively be using these throughout the game, as they’re quite strong and provide debuffs to enemies depending on which companions you have selected. If you’re aiming just for kills you can weaken the enemies yourself with normal attacks, then use the companion ability to take out the enemy.
Silver Tongue Used dialog skills 30 times in conversations. |
||||||||||||
Dialog skills are ones shown in dialogue that have a skill or trait requirement before them to use them. When selected they’re used to solve problems, persuade NPCs to do certain things, or just give slightly alternate dialogue. There are many throughout the game so you shouldn’t have issue hitting 30, but if you want to farm them to get it out of the way you can go into an area that you use a disguise in, let yourself get stopped from your disguise running out, then pass the speech check to have the NPCs leave you alone again. Leave the area and return and repeat until you hit 30.
Poor Sportsmanship Hit 30 enemies in the groin during tactical time dilation. |
||||||||||||
Tactical Time Dilation (TTD) is an ability you are introduced to at the start of the game that allows you to slow down time for a short period. While it is active you can aim around at different enemy parts, and when you have certain skills do more damage or know certain effects that will be dealt to enemies when shot in specific places. For this trophy you need to shoot a total of 30 human enemies in the groin area while in TTD. If done correctly the enemy should double over for a short moment if you don’t continue shooting them. There isn’t any way to track this, so you should just be aware of this requirement as you’re playing.
Upgrades Available Improved your gear 30 times through tinkering and mods. |
||||||||||||
During the game you will gain access to workbenches which allow you to install mods onto weapon or armor, or to tinker with them which is this game’s version of upgrading the level in exchange for bits. For this trophy you need to slot mods and tinker weapons a total of 30 times between the two options. If you want to get this out of the way the easiest way is tinkering a bunch of low level weapons for a small fee.
This might require actually improving 30 different pieces of gear, instead of any gear 30 times total. |
||||||||||||
Never Seen Killed 50 enemies with sneak attacks. |
||||||||||||
To use sneak attacks you must first have 20 points placed into the STEALTH skill tree, which unlocks the ability to do sneak attacks. Once you have the ability unlocked you can then crouch behind enemies while they’re unaware and hit them with melee, or shoot them with a gun to deal a sneak attack for bonus damage. You need to kill 50 enemies with one melee hit or gunshot by doing this. It can help to level melee up to 20 so that you can use power attacks in stealth, and also activate TTD and aim for the head on human enemies. Guns you alsways just want to aim for the head on humans and most animals.
Short Circuit Killed 30 automechanicals with shock damage. |
||||||||||||
Shock is one of the 5 damage types available throughout the game. It deals increased damage to robots and stuns human enemies for a short time. For this trophy you just need to destroy a total of 30 automechanical (robot) enemies using any weapons with shock damage. You can find these on your own, or slot in a mod on either melee or ranged weapons that changes their damage type to shock.
Health Insurance Used the medical inhaler 300 times. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is earned for using your medical inhaler a total of 300 times. You don’t need to actually heal yourself with it, just use it so that you consume a charge of Adreno, which is required for one activation of the inhaler. This appears to count across game saves, so you can potentially save and reload to acquire this trophy. Make a save before using your inhaler, use all charges of Adreno you have, make a new save so that it saves your number of usages, then reload your prior one to get your usages back. After you have used it a total of 300 times you will earn the trophy.
We All Fall Down Turned 100 enemies to ash with plasma damage. |
||||||||||||
Plasma is one of the 5 damage types available throughout the game. It is stronger against human or animal enemies and will cause a burning effect. Sometimes when you kill an enemy with plasma damage it will cause them to burn up and turn into a pile of ash. Plasma guns are decently common, and you can add a mod to weapons to turn them into plasma damage as well.
Tossball All Star Killed 50 enemies with a tossball stick or tossball blocker. |
||||||||||||
Tossball sticks and blockers are two different melee weapons that you can find around the game world. They aren’t amazingly common, so you should grab any that you find and use them to take out enemies while they’re strong enough. The Blocker is a one handed weapon, while the stick is a 2 handed weapon, so whichever you use if you find both is up to personal preference. There isn’t any way to track this trophy, so you’ll have to just keep killing with them until you are awarded it. If you want you can combine this with the Never Seen trophy for killing enemies with sneak attacks.
Everything Must Go Sold 10,000 bits worth of items to vendors. |
||||||||||||
For this trophy you just need to sell a total of 10,000 bits worth of items to vending machines. You can leave this alone and let it happen naturally if you want, or you can save your game, dump your entire inventory to a vendor, buy all their items, and sell those, and repeat buying and selling the items back until you earn the trophy, then reload your game.
Everybody Likes Me Had maximum positive reputation with 3 factions. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is awarded when you have reached 100% positive reputation level with 3 different factions in the game.
You gain positive reputation by doing positive things for factions, like completing quests for people related to those factions. The first 3 factions that you can get this with are Deserters, Spacer’s Choice, and Groundbreaker. Deserters and Spacer’s Choice are both dealt with in the first area of the game, Emerald Vale/Edgewater. You can max both their reputation levels by completing all quests in the area for them, then facilitating the Deserters returning to Edgewater by having Reed Tobson agree to step down as head leader and allowing Adelaide McDevitt to become leader. Groundbreaker you can max by completing all quests available on it before you would be heading to Stellar Bay. |
||||||||||||
Destroyer of Worlds Had maximum negative reputation with 3 factions. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is awarded when you have reached 100% negative reputation level with 3 different factions in the game.
You gain negative reputation by doing bad things to a factions, such as completing quests in a way that would harm them or just outright killing members of that faction. The easiest way to earn this trophy is to do just that, kill a large number of members of the faction you want negative reputation on. If you are trying to get this near the end of the game and want to just save and reload for it you can travel to Monarch and just kill members of each of the 3 factions, MSI, Iconoclasts, and Sublight Salvage, who you should be able to find in each of their respective locations (depending on story choices). The enemies in each settlement are all around level 20, so if you’re near the end of the game around level 30 you should be able to just move through and take out anyone you see until you reach maximum negative reputation for the faction, then travel to the next location. Once you’ve reach maximum negative reutation with the 3 you will earn the trophy. |
||||||||||||
Flawed Hero Acquired 3 flaws. |
||||||||||||
Flaws are a mechanic the game has where after a certain amount of actions happen to you, you can choose to take on a flaw that associates negative things with that action in exchange for a free perk point. You don’t have to take on flaws when they are offered, but some aren’t a huge deal and the perk points are good to have in most cases. When you are offered flaws is random based on how much you’re affected by negative actions, so you won’t have any show up at any specific spots, but over time you should have more than three show up.
Some potential flaws you can show up from specific sources are:
|
||||||||||||
Not the Best Choice Simultaneously equipped Spacer’s Choice brand clothing, headgear, and 4 weapons. |
||||||||||||
For this trophy you need to equip Spacer’s Choice branded clothing in both head and clothing slots, and all 4 weapon slots.
The weapons you can find easy, most of them that you can find in the first area of the game (Emerald Vale) will be Spacer’s Choice brand. Clothing is slightly harder to find though, and note that the Hibernation Suit you start the game in says it’s Spacer’s Choice but doesn’t actually count for the trophy. If you want to get this out of the way, you should be able to buy a Workers Outift and Mining Helmet from the Emerald Vale General Store in the city of Edgewater. Equip all 6 items at once to earn the trophy. |
||||||||||||
Well Dressed Wore ‘A Nice Hat’ and ‘Chimaera’ at the same time. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy requires you to obtain two items of clothing and wear them together. These two pieces of clothing are unique and only one of each exist in the game, so do not sell or dismantle them before you have earned this trophy. “A Nice Hat” can be found on Monarch in the Stellar Bay area. Head to South Ruins from in the city, and go to the first group of buildings. You should find a ruined church in this area, and inside at the back you can find “A Nice Hat” on a skeleton against the wall. “Chimaera” is a piece of clothing you need to complete a side quest line for a woman in Byzantium for her to make for you. If you have Parvati’s companion quest at the step to get an outfit for her date the location will be marked on the map. If not, the store is on the South-West corner of the Prosperity Plaza area, named Jolicoeur’s Haberdashery. When you speak to her she’ll first want you to model 3 outfits for her: An Iconolast, Marauder, and Spacer outfit. Iconoclast is easy, you can get it from killing Iconoclasts on Monarch if they’re hostile, or buying from the Quartermaster in Amber Heights. Marauder armor can be looted off Marauder enemies on Monarch or Terra 2. Spacer seems to be a bit trickier, I believe it wants you to use Sublight Salvage type armor. I got it to work with a “Sublight Contractor Helm”, and then a “Safecracker’s Jacket” that I found earlier in the game and was holding onto due to its +10 lockpicking. You might be able to find some actual Sublight armor for sale in Fallbrook from one of the vendors as that’s the main Sublight town. After you have modeled all 3 outfits she will ask you to collect some items for her. Raptidon Flank Hide and Mantiqueen Chitin can be found easily on Monarch near the Sulfur Pools area, as there are multiple of both enemy types wandering around there. Primal Leather can be found on Terra 2 in Edgwater or on Scylla where Primals spawn, there are a few locations for each you’ll likely have ran into by now. Once you’ve got the required number of each head back to Byzantium and speak to her again. Lastly she’ll ask you to go pick up an item for her she ordered to complete the outfit. Follow the markers around on a bit of a goose chase, then when you return to the store you’ll find that she has been killed by the UDL soldiers for some reason or another. Search her body to get her office key, then head in and grab the outfit off the table. You can now equip both “A Nice Hat” and “Chimaera” to earn this trophy. |
||||||||||||
Level 30 Character level 30 reached. |
||||||||||||
Level 30 is the maximum level in the game that you can reach at time of the game’s release. If you are actively doing all side quests possible as you play through the story and not avoiding combat you will likely earn this about 3/4 through or near the end of your playthrough.
Anything for a Friend Finished a companion’s quest line. |
||||||||||||
This trophy is awarded for fully completing one companion’s questline after they become a companion. The earliest you can fully complete a companion quest is when you’re able to go around Monarch. SAM doesn’t have a quest past his initial one to fix him but that doesn’t actually count for this trophy.
Elemental Maelstrom Killed an enemy that was hit with all 5 damage types. |
||||||||||||
This trophy requires you to kill an enemy that has been hit with all 5 damage types. The 5 types are:
The first 4 are fairly common, N-Ray isn’t though, the first N-Ray weapon I found was a unique one in Rizzo’s Lab on Monarch. You can find mods for N Ray damage, but they are extremely uncommon. Once you have weapons of each damage type, you’re best finding a larger enemy that you can spend time hitting with each type of damage. Heavy armored marauders work, or any Mega creature on Monarch. You can do this by having your companions equip weapons of one or two of the damage types then do the other 3 yourself, or equip 4 yourself then switch to the 5th after you’ve used all 4 other types. Whichever way you choose to go, once you’ve hit an enemy with all 5 you can then kill the enemy and will be awarded the trophy. The enemy doesn’t need to be under the effects of any debuffs from the damage types when it dies, just needs to have been hit with all 5. |
||||||||||||
Patient N Killed 20 enemies that were infected by spreading N-rays. |
||||||||||||
N Ray is one of the 5 damage types available through the game. This is a sort of radiation effect, where enemies (or you) hit will it will experience a damage-over-time effect where waves will come off of them damage them and other enemies nearby, which will also spread the effect to them. For this trophy you more or less just have to kill 20 enemies using N Ray weapons or explosive barrels. N Ray weapons are very uncommon, and mods for N Rays are very rare. The first N Ray weapon I found was in the Rizz-‘s Secret Lab area on Monarch which you go to for story reasons. In there is a unique launcher type weapon that shoots N Ray orbs that explode when they hit enemies. If you get this weapon you basically just need to kill 20 enemies using it to earn the trophy.
Skilled Raised a skill to 100. |
||||||||||||
Starting out you raise the entire category group of a skill-up until they reach level 50. After that you must put points in individual skills, so you need to specialize yourself more. For this trophy you need to raise any one skill to it’s maximum unadjusted level of 100.
Jack of All Trades Killed an enemy with a science weapon sneak attack during TTD, with a weakspot critical hit. |
||||||||||||
For this trophy you need a few things. First you need to have sneak attacks unlocked by leveling your Stealth skill so that sneak becomes at least 20. You can raise the skill more to do increased damage, but 20 is the minimum required to actually do sneak attacks. You also need melee (two handed if you’re using the Primsatic Hammer) to 40 to unlock the ability to do TTD weak spot attacks.
Then, you need to find a science weapon. These are unique weapons that can be found in the game, and their damage is based on your Science skill level. The first science weapon is on Groundbreaker. Coming from the dock go past the security office then left into the room with the red containers, then right into the room with all the beds. If you jump on the boxes to get on top of the left side beds and go to the wall there is a small gap you can go through. Through this room will be a group of Outlaws and a large mechanical that you’ll have to deal with. After this, head to the right of the room where there is a door you use a keycard to get through. In this room you’ll find the science weapon Prismatic Hammer. This is a two handed weapon with some special effects on it. Now to finally earn the trophy, you must equip this weapon and kill someone with it using a sneak attack while TTD is active. This appears to require doing it on an actual potentially hostile enemy. If you’ve not killed them the Outlaws in the Sub Level on the Groundbreaker will work, and if they’re not actively hostile to from paying off or persuading Captain MacRedd you can go behind one of the other guys and sneak them fairly easily. Get behind one and activate TTD, then aim for their head and swing at them. If you kill them in one hit you will earn the trophy. |
||||||||||||
Well Balanced Breakfast Simultaneously had bonuses for meat, carbohydrates, sugary drink, caffeine, and alcohol. |
||||||||||||
On your travels through the game you’ll find various food and drug items that you can pick up and use from your inventory. If you look at each item it will list what type they are, such as the 5 listed in the trophy description. To earn this trophy you need one of each of these types, then to consume them all at once from your inventory by holding to use them so that you have all effects active at once. When done correctly you will earn the trophy immediately, and if you look in the Character > Details menu you should have 5 different Status Effects active corresponding to each food type like below.
Mad Scientist Killed an enemy under the effects of 4 science weapons. |
||||||||||||
Science weapons are a unique type of weapon that there are 5 of throughout the game. They are unique in that they scale based off of your Science skill primarily, cannot be modded, but can be tinkered (and have their tinker price capped at a Science skill level of 80). They all have unique effects that can’t be found on any other weapon, so they can be useful to seek out. Early in the game there will be a side quest you’re given titled Weapons from the Void which will help lead you to their locations.
For this trophy you need to kill an enemy while they are under the effect of at least 4 of the weapons. In my opinion this is the most annoying miscellaneous trophy in the game, as the effect time from the science weapons is relatively low compared to how long it takes just to switch weapons. For this you should give one weapon each to two of your companions, then use the other three yourself. Change the companion behavior to only use physical or melee depending on which weapons you gave them, and set their behaviour to closely follow you and be aggressive. Find yourself a decently strong enemy that you won’t kill them before you can swap through all weapons (I earned it from a heavy armor Marauder on Monarch). Kill other enemies near them first if there are others, then get ready on that enemy. You can probably wait for your two companions to start attacking them, then get in yourself. I’d advise doing the first attack normal, then activate TTD right away and switch weapons. Switching doesn’t drain TTD but attacking does, so if you do the first attack then switch you should be able to get two more attacks of using the other weapons before it runs out, which should prolong the time the enemy is affected relative to how fast you’re able to switch weapons. Cycle through to the third one, then kill the enemy using the third weapon (one of the two melee ones is best for the last one). If the enemy died while under the effect of at least 4 of the weapons you will earn the trophy. If not then you will need to find another and try again. The Outer Worlds All 5 Science Weapon Locations: Prismatic Hammer – Groundbreaker, through a gap above some beds near the entrance area (see Jack of All Trades trophy for more description) Shrink Ray – Phineas’ Lab, on a table just to the right of the device you use to speak with him when he’s behind the glass. Mandibular Rearranger – Scylla, in a building on the East side of the area. Gloop Gun – Monarch Wilderness, in location UDL Lab. Get a keycard from upstairs to use the terminal, then hack it or answer with the following answers to open the gun container. Protect the Chairman, Berate him relentlessly, Arrest your spouse. Mind Control Ray – In Rizzo Secret Lab at the end of the area where you activate the terminal to get the Alta-Vitae gas, there is an elevator shaft with two platforms. Jump to them then up to the next area to find this weapon. |
||||||||||||
Impossible Mission Succeeded at 3 dialog conversation checks with a single disguise. |
||||||||||||
In certain areas of the game you’ll be able to travel into a restricted area with the use of a disguise. While you have the disguise on you’ll have a bar on the lower part of your screen that drains as you move around. Once it’s drained all the way you can be spotted by enemies, then you’ll need to pass a speech check to get them to leave you alone, which uses one of the 3 charges and resets the bar to full again. For this trophy, you need to go through all 3 charges and 3 corresponding dialogue checks in one usage of the disguise without leaving and resetting it. The speech requirement for each Persuade, Lie, and Intimidate will go up each time, with the third time requiring a skill level of 60 to pass the final check. If you want to get this out of the way, and easy place to do it is in the security office of the Groundbreaker. Save before entering the area just in case, then go in and sprint around in circles until the bar runs out and you get stopped. Pass the speech check and repeat twice more. After the third speech check you’ll earn this trophy.
All for One Completed all companion quests. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
Companion quests are unique side quests you can do for your companions which expand their backstory and potentially change their view. You need to do all of these in a single playthrough, so make sure to always accept companions joining you and don’t anger them or tell them to leave from the ship, or you won’t be able to do all of their quests. Aside from Parvati’s first quest you don’t seem to be able to fail these otherwise by just progressing the game, but it would still be recommended that you do them all as soon as you can so that they’re out of the way and you don’t miss anything and make saves before progressing each step in case you mess up dialogue.
|
||||||||||||
One for All Recruited all of the companions. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
Companions are special NPCs that you can have in your party with you as you explore the world. They help you in combat, increase your carry weight, and provide bonuses to your stats depending on who you have in your party. There are 6 total, and you get access to all of them about a third of the way into the story. This trophy is missable as you can decide to not take companions with you. Because of this it is recommended that when offered you always agree to take them on the ship. You don’t need to take them with you while exploring if you don’t want, but you need them all for this trophy and All for One so that you can complete all of their companion quests.

This is the final story progression related trophy you will earn, when you head to the planet Tartarus. Before heading there, you will be warned that this is the point of no return, so before heading there you should make sure to make a save and get anything else done you needed to do before. |
||||||||||||
Lost and Found Skipped the Hope. |
||||||||||||
Story related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is earned during the main quest Kept Secret But Not Forgotten, and is earned once you reach the bridge of the Hope and then skip it to Phineas’ lab by Terra 2. Whether you let ADA skip the ship or do it yourself with level 2 Intelligence and a Science skill of at least 80 you will make the journey correctly and earn this trophy. Note that the trophy Sunburn is earned in this same spot if you gave yourself lower Intelligence during character creation, which then lets you skip the Hope using the [DUMB] dialogue. |
||||||||||||
Pirate Radio Stopped the Monarch broadcasts. |
||||||||||||
Story related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is earned during the main quest Radio Free Monarch or Signal Point in Space, and is awarded when you convince both Sanjar and Graham to stop broadcasting on the radio frequencies. Sanjar asks you to get him a device, which you should do and give to him. You then also need to get information of other corporations still operating on the planet. Graham asks you to help him get printing press items and repair them, which you should also do. Once you got them both to stop broadcasting by completing their quests you’ll be awarded this trophy. There are potentially other ways to get them to stop (shooting everyone maybe) but following their quests this is how you go about it. |
||||||||||||
The Audience Gasps Learned the shocking truth about the colony. |
||||||||||||
Story related, cannot be missed.
This trophy is earned during the main quest The City and the Stars or Signal Point in Space. Which way you earn this depends on who you’ve been following along with as an ally up to this point in the story. If you’ve been sticking with Phineas you’ll earn this during The City and the Stars. You’ll be tasked with speaking to Minister Clarke about the drugs that Phineas needs. Get into the estate to speak with him however you may, then listen to him about how he’s being held in his apartment, and you should go to his office in the HHC building. Head in there using bribes and his key card, then go into his office. Go to his computer and print off a Ministry Keycard, and you’ll then be shown a cutscene of Minister Rockwell. After the cutscene is over you’ll earn this trophy. If you’ve been working with Sophia you will earn this during Signal Point in Space. Once you return to her after dealing with the broadcasts on Monarch she will just show you the information outright without you needing to do anything else. |
||||||||||||
SubLight to the End Completed the SubLight quest lines. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
Sublight is one of the factions in the game that you can interact with. They’re a shipping company who’s operations aren’t always on the proper side of the law. For this trophy you have to complete the quest line started from Lilyn on the Groundbreaker. She’ll require you have the Nav Key for Monarch before she’ll actually employ you, but when you do go speak to her and she’ll ask you to do a set of tasks for her starting on Monarch.
|
||||||||||||
Peace in Our Time Brokered peace between the Iconoclasts and MSI. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy and Monarch Abides are mutually exclusive, you can’t do them both in the same playthrough without using save backups. For this trophy after you’ve stopped the radio transmissions and got the info sent to Phineas or talked Hiram into working for the board a UDL ship will crash into the planet. Go get the targeting module, then you need to talk Sanjar and Zora into working with each other for their own best interests. To have the Iconoclasts agree you need to have Zora overthrow Graham. To allow this to happen in the two prior quests you do for the Iconoclasts you need to side with what Zora wants, getting the extra food supplies from the smuggler, then getting the Twins back from the press instead of having them go in and help you. After that once you have got the targeting module you can speak to her again and she’ll ask you to get some mission logs, which leads to the discovery that Graham orchestrated the pirate attacks. You then need to agree with her to overthrow Graham and kill him. You can then talk Zora into potentially working with Sanjar if you have 55 Persuasion, or other skills around that level. Sanjar can then be talked into working with Zora if you find her report from the Rizzo’s Lab in the same area you get the items for Sublight. You then talk them into meeting at the OSI church just outside the city, where you can basically give mostly neutral and encouraging answers to have them talk it out and agree to work together. Once they do you’ll complete the quest and earn this trophy. |
||||||||||||
Monarch Abides Won the battle of Stellar Bay. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy and Peace in Our Times are mutually exclusive, you can’t do them both in the same playthrough without using save backups. For this trophy after you’ve stopped the radio transmissions and got the sent to Phineas a UDL ship will crash into the planet. Go get the targeting module, then choose to give it to either Sanjar or Graham/Zora. You then ally with them to defeat the other faction. You’ll fight from whichever location you give the targeting module to to the other location and kill the other group’s leader just outside their area. As soon as the leader dies you’ll earn this trophy. If you’re aiming to avoid missables during a playthrough I’d recommend save scumming this trophy, then revert your save and broker peace between the two groups instead because that doesn’t result in any important NPCs dying. |
||||||||||||
Dentastic Saved the universe’s greatest diet toothpaste recipe. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy is earned during the side quest The Doom That Came to Roseway by completing the quest a specific way. You will obtain this quest when you’re on Groundbreaker by asking for other work. You will then head to the Roseway location on Terra 2 to answer a distress signal. A scientist tasks you with recovering the diet toothpaste research, and to earn this trophy you must get back the recipe and give it to him to complete the quest. During the quest you’ll run in to a bandit who has stolen the research out of his safe. To get it from her you can either agree to help her then persuade her to give up the research after before she leaves, or just kill her and take it, up to you. Once you have it, you must give it back to Anton to complete the quest, if you lie to him and say you don’t have it or say you’re keeping it you won’t earn the trophy and need to redo the side quest in another playthrough. |
||||||||||||
Mightier than the Sword Saved Edgewater permanently. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy is earned in a way that requires making some specific choices during the game leading up to the point you earn it. It’s mutually exclusive of Ludwig was Right, but is something you can do with a save backup. For this trophy at the start of the game you need to choose to redirect power to Edgewater, then convince the deserters to return but not have Reed step down as leader. Through story progression you then need to ally with Sophia and the board by turning in Phineas, then once you have dealt with the radio broadcasts on Monarch Sophia will congratulate you on helping the town next time you see her. You don’t need to do anything else for this trophy past that, you are awarded it immediately before she asks you to head to the Hope. |
||||||||||||
Ludwig was Right Brought robo-destruction to Edgewater. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy is earned during the main story quest Foundation. You can receive this quest if you choose to turn in Phineas and work with the board, and at the start of the game and redirected power in Emerald Vale to town. You can earn this using a save backup if you at first don’t convince Reed to step down. Proceed through thr story agreeing to work with the Board, and after you deal with the radio broadcasts make a save. Before going back and speaking with Sophia you can go to Edgewater and kill Reed, then go talk to Adelaide and get her to go back to town now that Reed is gone. You can now go speek with Sophia and she asks you to go to Edgewater and activate the Termination Protocol to have some robots kill all of the deserters. Once you have come back into the town and then cleaned up all the robots you will earn this trophy. |
||||||||||||
A Star is Born Starred in an Odeon Pictures movie. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy is earned by completing the side mission At Central which you can get when you first enter Byzantium. Once you enter the main area a man named Maverick Johnson will call to you, talk to him and agree to what he’s offering to receive the side quest. Head over to the marked Odeon Pictures building then go upstairs to the marked area, then stand on the marked spot. You’ll go through some dialogue with the other actor, use your intimidate skills or just take the action sounding choices (I’d probably advise against shooting the other person). Once you’re done the scene go speak to Maverick again and you’ll complete this quest and earn the trophy. |
||||||||||||
The Cartographer Dealt with the cartographer. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
This trophy is earned during the main quest The Demolished Woman on Byzantium. To get this side quest you must attempt to turn in Phineas to the board through Udom Bedford. After getting his seal back from Gladys he’ll get you to go to Byzantium to meet Sophia Akande, who will then give you this main quest to prove yourself to her. Sophia asks you to “deal with” a cartographer named Rachel Lockwood. If you head to her office and break in, you can find out that she is hiding in the maintenance tunnels under Byzantium. Head down there and “deal with her” however you see fit which will award the trophy. You can then return to Sophia when you’re finished to complete the quest. |
||||||||||||
Sunburn Skipped the Hope into the sun. |
||||||||||||
MISSABLE
There are two ways you can earn this trophy. You either need to from the start of the game during character creation choose to lower your Intelligence stat to below average, or repeatedly use the Adrena-Time so that its withdrawal effect lowers your intelligence temporarily. Getting yourself to “below average” intelligence stat allows you to pick “Dumb” dialogue, which is a requirement for this trophy. Late in the game you will travel back to the Hope, which is the ship your character was awoken from. When you reach the front of the ship you will need to skip it to whichever story destination you’ve been working towards, and can choose to do it yourself or let ADA do it. To earn this trophy you need to specifically pick the [DUMB] dialogue option after saying that you’ll skip it yourself. You will then be shown a cutscene wherein you send the ship straight into the sun, giving you a game over and awarding you this trophy. If you are using Adrena-Time to do this you can use one, wait for its effect to wear off and it’s withdrawal to start, then use another to stack another withdrawal which lowers your intelligence further. |
Shadow says
Wow lots of missables
Little Red Fox says
Monarch Abides, Mightier Than The Sword, Ludwig Was Right, and Sunburn won’t pop for me and I’m doing them exactly as I’m supposed to. Did anyone else have this problem and find a way to make it pop?
PhantomFear94 says
I haven’t started the game yet. The only missable one that looks awkward is “Sunburn”. If you create a character is weak intelligence, are you limited at all for a playthrough? As in, is it compatible with your “main” run?
Gage says
You aren’t really. You can still level the “smart” skills all the way as if you hadn’t picked low intelligence, and there’s even some unique [DUMB] dialogue options for when you do have higher smart skills too. Biggest issue with it is more that you lose 20% crit/headshot damage as the main drawback of having low int.
Kelly says
I went through with average intelligence and then just adrena time withdrawal 2x and was allowed to choose the dumb option. Don’t change your play through
PhantomFear94 says
Also, I’ve been going through this list to research as I heard there was a ton of missable. Would it be possible to have main missions included in some of the missables, so we know when to be aware of missable quest-related achievements (i.e. Peace in Our Time / Monarch Abides?) I’m sure it’ll be semi-obvious, but I like to plan my playthroughs wherever possible.
Gage says
I’ll see if I can put together a bit of a chart for progression to avoid most of the missables. You can go through the game almost to the very end “playing both sides” without missing out on any trophies. There’s only two that aren’t really feesible to do in one playthrough, but you can get the opposite one easily on Supernova.
PhantomFear94 says
Thanks!
dirk dingus says
Sucks when RPG’s have missables, but this is overkill!
Batwoman says
It’s honestly not that bad if you missed stuff first playthrough do it on the second one.
I recommend recruiting everyone in at least one playthrough.
It’s a pretty neat game. Taking my time.
MidnightDragonDX says
Do the difficulty trophies stack?
Batwoman says
Yes.
Wulf says
Yes
Kyle says
For “Mightier than the Sword”/”Ludwig was Right”, I’m a little confused; are those the only two possible outcomes or are there other variants that aren’t listed.
More specifically, is there a possible route that Edgewater can be saved if you ask Reed to step down and then later, don’t side with Sophia? I guess I’m wondering do all choices funnel into just those two outcomes, or did you just list the exact route for two of the outcomes that are trophy related?
crosvale says
As far as I know, there are three possible choices at the beginning of the game on Edgewater. You can divert power to Botanical Lab, you can divert power to Edgewater and convince Reed to step down, or you can divert power to Edgewater and leave Reed in charge.
Now, Edgewater will not be brought up later in the story at all unless you side with Sophia and the board. If you stay loyal to Phineas, there is mention during the epilogue of what you did, but there are no trophies related to staying with Phineas, which is probably why this guide only covered siding with Sophia.
Gage says
Correct, they’re only mentioned that way because they’re related to actions you take if you go along with the Board. I missed them completely in my first playthrough because I avoided dealing with the Board until I was reloading to try some other things out.
MV2daP says
I’m not sure if I understand correctly. What is a “sneak attack”?
If I stealthily kill someone with a gun does it count towards the “Never Seen” trophy or do you have to use melee exclusively?
Other question:
I’m ignoring melee completely, which trophies are impossible to get with very low <10 melee stats?
Gage says
I originally interpreted it as requiring melee, but now that you say that the description for sneak attack on level 20 stealth if I remember correctly does just say that it’s a sneak attack when you’re crouched and hit an unaware enemy.
With low melee Jack of All Tradea might be hard because you need to one shot an enemy with one of the science weapons, and it’ll very likely have to be one of the melee ones since the guns don’t really do a lot of damage. You might be able to get it on a enemy in Emerald Vale if you try it right before the end of the game. Same deal with killing 50 enemies with the tossball items.
Saltboy47 says
A sneak attack is just an attack whilst the enemy is unaware, as in, they haven’t spotted you, it isn’t melee exclusive. Non of the melee trophies are impossible with low melee stats, I got them with only 6 points in both the one handed and two handed weapons categories. Changing the difficulty to Story, modding and tinkering your melee weapon and returning to one of the earlier planets and enemies are one shot pretty much all the time.
Leon says
I have a question? Felix is angry with me for killing the cartographer and I have not been given his companion quest yet, have I messed this up? Or will he still give me his quest as I progress further? Hope I havnt messed it up.
Shadow says
You have to talk to him outside the ship. So bring him outside as your companion and pick the “you’re still upset” dialog and it will give you an option to choose I think it was 50 intimidate or 50 determination not sure but it’s there
pksTOXIC says
same :/ i’m hoping i can go back to a previous save after i beat the game and it will carry over.
Stoic Slab says
For Xbox users, the achievements tab does track progress for ones with cumulative requirements. However, we noticed that progress doesn’t track in some instances, such as reloading a save to farm tossball kills. I don’t know if PS4 users are having a similar issue, but here’s a solution if you want to get these achievements/trophies done relatively quickly:
-Have your base requirements ready (tossball stick, dialogue skills, upgrade materials, etc).
-Create a separate save before performing the action.
-Perform the action (kill, persuade, upgrade).
-Reload your initial save and save over it.
-Rinse and repeat.
KnightArmada says
For “Sunburn” you don’t actually have to start off with below average intelligence.
You can have it as high as you want. If you do have higher than what you need to be able to pick “DUMB” options.
Make sure you have “Andrena-Time” x by how many you are above below.
I had good intelligence. So I used 1. waited for the -1 attribute affect. Then used another. Waited. Then another.
I had minimum intelligence and could choose the “DUMB” option.
So feel free to have the highest of intelligence. Just make sure you have Andrena Times handy 🙂
JKatarn says
Only half true, in game description says Adrena-Time Crash stacks up to 3 times only, so if your intellgience is too high (like mine, I got it up to highest), you can only get back to average.
CloudStrifeNL says
True. I had the highest Intelligence and was able to use this method. So @JKatarn, I recommend you give it a try. It worked for me.
Zifflock says
I think it’s possible to get a very high intelligence and still have the [dumb] dialogue option, but you have to play on SUPERNOVA difficulty:
Combining the medicine plus the hungry/thirsty/sleepy side effects might work, I didn’t try it though.
BodyChipper says
Do animals count as “enemies”? The game refers to them as enemies during the XP popups, but not sure for kills.
Stoic Slab says
I can confirm that Sprats and Chickens do count. I’ve done stealth and plasma kills on both while receiving credit.
Necromedic says
Not only do they count but so do mines. I unlocked my achievement while sneaking thru a cave destroying the mines with my silenced gun.
yas says
be careful everyone if you sell a nice hat , Well Dressed trophy will be missde.
Jt1940 says
The companion trophy can glitch pravati and ellie’s mission can say botched immediately. I don’t know if it affects the trophy for all companion quests so back up saves constantly.
Wayne says
Did the trophy “Hard Time: glitch for anyone else? had to reload to get it.
Sock66 says
You cannot get the Supernova trophy by doing Sunburn, just tried 🙂 got Sunburn just fine, but nothing else.
Coffee says
You can’t get ANY ending trophy with Sunburn. Because Sunburn is not considered an ending, it’s a fail state.
SaintRoam says
Hot tip i found useful for getting the kill / sneak trophies (Tossball All Star, Never Seen, We All Fall Down etc)
* When you get to Catherine at Fallbrook take up the quest ‘Slaughterhouse Clive’
* When you get to the slaughterhouse take the sewer entry next to the building – below and left to the entry. I f you cant lock pick you can just shoot your way through the building.
* Make a save as soon as you get up the ladder into the pig den and lower the difficulty to ‘Story’
* Now just crouch and and attack the 2 rows of boarst pigs with whatever you need for the trophies. Make a separate save so it counts the kills.
* reload the earlier save and rinse and repeat for the trophies needed.
I found it helpful for the stealth kills and tossball stick kills.
GPAP360 says
About the SubLight to the End trophy / achievement.
You ONLY need to complete the 3 missions from Lilyn at the Groundbreaker. I also didn’t killed the woman on the last mission.
Hawk199 says
Not sure if anyone will read this but i found it easier by playing ‘Supernova’ 1st playthrough and do all trophies beside Flawed hero until the end and doing last 2 trophies, Ludwig was Right and Sunburn on ‘Story’ (easiest difficulty) during 2nd playthrough. (30-50 Hours)
2nd Playthrough can be done in 20-30 MINUTES and require character build be have Below average intelligence and dialog skill ‘Lie’ to be 65. (Google ” The outer worlds speed run”, i watched this speed runner youtu.be/3ypaLWPtiLA )
Tip: In between auto mech legs there is a blue light, that it is their weakspot. (Ludwig was Right)
Dunge says
Anyone understood how quick saving/loading influence trophy progress? I’m trying to get the “never seen” achievement. If you quicksave right before an enemy, stealth kill him, the achievement progress will rise by 2%, but then if you quickload and stealth kill him again (or any other enemy near him) it won’t register. Seems like I have to find a completely another group of enemies before it start to count again. Is there like a timer after a reload before it starts registering achievements progress or something?
Coffee says
Considering the “anti-cheat” Obsidian used in New Vegas with a cooldown after loading a save to gamble in the casinos, i’m going to wager the answer is yes, they put in a cooldown after loads to discourage save scumming (not that it actually stops us).
Xander Crews says
You CAN set up Mightier than the Sword and Ludwig was Right with save backups! Follow the instruction for Mightier than the Sword then later when you have the option to go to Sophia, make a save. Go to Edgewater and KILL Reed. Then go to Sophia, she will tell you to activate the Termination Protocol. After killing all the robots the trophy for Ludwig was Right will pop. Now reload save to continue the path the path that will earn you the Mightier than the Sword trophy.
CloudStrifeNL says
Thanks! Gonna give this a try on my Supernova playthrough 🙂
CloudStrifeNL says
Works like a charm. Got my Platinum last night. Thanks to this I didn’t have to play through the game again 🙂 Cheers!
sublimehawk says
The Jack of All Trades achievement won’t unlock for me with only 20 points in Melee. The in-game skills menu states that you need to have Melee at 40 to unlock TTD weakspot critical hits. I’ve killed enemies with science melee weapons in one hit while sneaking, but no achievement. The only thing I can think of is that it only counts if you have TTD weakspot critical hits unlocked, which requires 40 points in Melee.
Gage says
You’re right, I believe I forgot about that requirement after. Added it in.
The_BushmonstaH says
Pretty sure one for all is bugged.
I’ve got the trophy all for one, meaning i have to have all the companions to complete their quests, but not the trophy for actually getting all the companions
JoshTheNomad says
Did you get SAM, since he doesn’t have a companion quest line you technically can get “All for One” before “One for All”
pksTOXIC says
All For One HELPPP!
I cant seem to get felix’s quest, i killed lockwood now he’s being a snowflake about it and won’t prompt me.
Suggestions from youtube/reddit i have tried, but didnt work:
reload to a save and let lockwood live — he said i’m honorable but i still cant get his quest
keep playing the game and talk to him inside and outside the ship every chance i get
if i start a new playthru (or start from a super early save) and complete his quest, will i get trophy if i’ve completed all other companions? i’d rather not have to do it all again.
Thanks
BodyChipper says
When you get your dialogues skills up high enough, and progress further into the game, you should get a dialogue option with him to basically “fix” his opinion of with you by making him like you again. I should add that this DID NOT appear while I was on the ship. It appeared about 80% of the way through my story. You might have to have the board angry at you since he despises the board, but I can’t confirm that (it was the case for me). Then AFTER he “likes you” again, you can talk to him on the ship to start his quest line that requires you to go to Scylla.
If you’ve gotten to the point of no return and still can’t get it, I would create a new save, go kill board members, and see if that reputation drop helps him provide the necessary dialogue option.
Whatever says
Missable trophies are annoying and killed this Platinum for me. Amazing game though.
Kenshin357 says
I keep getting botched quest for ellies quest every time I accept it. Is anyone having this problem & is there a reason why this could happen or is it just another glitch in the game?
Iggy says
You can get Ludwig was right without saving Edgewater (at least on normal difficulty).
I sent the power to the Botanical Gardens at the start of the game (before deciding to platinum) and was still able to “side” with Sophia later in the game who sent me back to finish Edgewater off. I got the trophy for destroying the automechanicals after they’d killed Edgewater.
Grindlefly says
Cannot get the elemental maelstrom trophy to unlock. Its the only trophy im missing for the plat. Im definitley hitting with all damage types. Anyone else having issues?
Gene Starwind says
Get the Spectrum Gatling from the Rizzo’s RR&DD Lab on Eridanos. You’ll need to have at least one of each color in the spectrum, except Brown. Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Indigo, Violet, and Black. All can be found in one location: the distillery. Go inside. To the left of the reception desk is door. Enter it. Go to the opposite side and up until you see a door on the right-hand side. Open it and walk to the other end of the bridge. You’ll enter what looks like bar. On the bar itself are samples of every color. The best time to do this is as soon as you can exit the GC, but don’t investigate the Orchard, yet.
Once you have it. Find a large, powerful monster and lay into it. I went back to Scylla and went after a super Primal.
Dro Mora says
Hello Everyone,
I plan on picking up The Outer Worlds over the holidays. I want to enjoy the game as much as possible, but I also want to get the platinum trophy without having to play through the game a million times. Could somebody please tell me which spots in the game I should start making multiple save files? You can respond to me here or reach out to me on PSN @ dro2020. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Warren says
Very upset right now because im realizing I wont be able to get ludwig was right, and am gonna have to restart from edgewater in the beginning of the game. I went back and killed reed before returning to sofia after the radio broadcasts just as you said. Then i went back to adilade and the only option is “look at that, the snakes come back.”
Steve says
Same thing happened to me. You dont need Adelaide in power in edgewater to get the trophy….. just kill Reed, then go back to Sophia and she’ll offer you the robot killing job!!!
Ramy says
The mad scientist trophy should be marked as missable? I accidently sold 2 weapons (I can’t find them anywhere) and I can’t finish this trophy now.
Unless there’s a way to get them again?
Jeff says
What’s the trophy associated with having your intelligence low??
Gene Starwind says
Sunburn.
While on the Hope. Save game before doing this. Go to the Bridge console and choose to do a manual skip. This only works if you INT is Below Average (-1), though an Adrena-Time crash stack (up to 3) can drop you down enough temporarily if INT is no higher than 2.
The end result is that you skip the Hope into the sun. Game Over. This is why you save before doing it….
examexa says
Did they change the trophy description and requirement for “Everybody Likes Me”?
Because you only need at least 75% (and not 100%) now. Got the trophy with only Spacer’s Choice maxed out, while Groundbreaker and Deserters just over 90%.

*Tips about the Supernova difficulty trophy*
So here is what I did; after going through the first planet of the game on supernova (with in mind to get platinum in a single playthrough) and After getting frustrated by the saving mechanic, I decided to do a speedrun of the game on Supernova difficulty by following Youtube videos which took me around 2 hours and a half to complete the game. I even got the sunburn trophy by the same token.
I strongly suggest that option if you don’t want to do 2 full playthrough.
I did it on January 19th 2020 and it perfectly worked.
Youtube ID of the videos I used: (It’s Jabo & Sharo).
Hope that help for some of you.
Dro Mora says
Yes, I did the same thing. I followed a speed run video of the game that was about 40 minutes long. If you spec your character exactly right and make sure to continue eating food and drinking fluids, you will have no problem getting the supernova in a speed run. I’m actually quite shocked they haven’t patched these little tricks that you can use to basically skip the entire game to the end.
David says
Nice. I decided to just stick with it and am having a much more fun time playing on Supernova. I do agree that the saving only on the ship is a pain, and the companions perma-death, I am having a great time. It’s making me use all of the games available ways to play.
Dro Mora says
Hey All,
Could somebody please share your tips for getting the Upgrades Available trophy? It seems like all other trophies you can farm across saves, but this one does not seem to be working. Do you need to upgrade 30 different weapons and pieces of armor? Any help on how this was done would be appreciated. Also, is it easier to modify the weapons or tinker them for a small fee? This is the only grind out trophy I need to get before I start my Supernova play through for platinum.
Thanks.
Gene Starwind says
You can modify the same weapon more than once. Just use one mod. Exit workbench. Do another and so on. I had no trouble getting this one.
McJamess says
Hey guys, quick question about the companions.
In my first playthrough I missed Max in the beginning, rather at the end I noticed and went back to get him and it still worked but the trophy for recruiting everyone didn’t show up.
Even after I got the trophy for doing all the companion quests.
Is anyone else encountering this ‘bug/glitch’? Or did I do something wrong? It’s weird I got the one for doing ALL companion quests, which implies that I recruited them all but not getting the one for recruiting.
Cheers!
David says
My first playthrough of this was super casual and I didn’t actually like it all too much. Enough to give it a second try though and I went for the Supernova and I gotta say it is WAY more fun. Sure it can be a little annoying keeping your companions alive and the only saving on the ship part but it’s way more fun
Vicente says
Please, I need urgent help:
-I’m doing the Supernova playgame and I realized that the All for One trophy passed without me noticing.
I wonder if I can make any kind of ending (good or bad, fast or long) and will I be able to get this trophy. ????
I will make the first decision in EdgeWater and before that I need to know what to do !!!!!
GamerDad says
The Poor Sportsmanship trophy can be earned by shooting a dead person in the groin. Just have to wait for your TDD gauge to refill but it also means you can use your magazine to keep track of the progress.

If people didn’t already know, there are some excellent Supernova Pacifist Speedrun trophies on YouTube which allowed me to complete the Supernova playthrough in under an hour. Could save you a lot of time
Dro Mora says
yes there are some awesome speed runs out there. I beat the game on supernova in one 40 minute playthrough and it was awesome lol.

all for one is definitely bugged on the PS4, you can have all companions and it doesn’t click.
then again what did i expect from bethesda-lite.
Gene Starwind says
Elemental Maelstrom can be earned using the Spectrum Gatling gun found in the Eridanos DLC. It is the one weapon that inflicts all damage types in rapid succession. Just use it on a large monster, such as Mantiqueen, MegaMantiqueen, or MegaRaptidon.
Jack of All Trades can be done using the Shrink Ray with an aimed head shot while sneaking. I did it that way.
