Head into the Lodge
Ellie, Dina & Jesse have split up to have a look for Joel & Tommy who have not returned from their Patrol.
When you see the lodge, head towards it, along the cliff, until you see a fence.
Near the end of the fence are some holes you can squeeze through.
Enter the lodge from the opened sliding door in front of you.
Head down the stairs to the ground level to investigate further.
Check the noises from the basement, which can be accessed from the kitchen.
After entering, you will watch a very decisive cutscene.
This finishes Chapter 6: The Chalet in The Last of Us Part 2. Next is Chapter 7: Packing Up.

SPOILERS
I know many have made the same observation but why didn’t Joel and Tommy use fake names. They both know of their checkered history and wouldn’t it be wise to use aliases when interacting with outsiders. Could have used the fake names, ask why abby’s entourage was there, realize what will happen and conspire to kill them with that knowledge. The end tlou 2 resolved lol
Benjin says
They’re community leaders. Tommy and Joel have spent the last 5 years trading with strangers and making connections with people passing through, always offering them supplies and even sometimes a place within their walls.
Ellie reignited Joel’s faith in humanity and parted the clouds of his cynicism. Throughout the first game, Joel has no regard for anyone but himself and Ellie, as he had already lost his family–she brought him back to some version of his former self. When he saved Ellie, he was only really saving himself from losing another daughter. Even after their estrangement, he still tries to be the father figure she once cared for.
Also, what are the odds that someone would recognize them based solely on their names? Most of their checkered past, as you put it, took place in either Texas or Boston as far as we know. Abby didn’t recognize either of them based on their looks, so to them she was just another stranger who needed help.
In the scene where Joel dies, you can tell he’s already wary of them before he announces his name to the group–he sees their reaction to Tommy’s introduction and he pauses.
Just because Joel is a knowledgeable survivor and got himself and Ellie through the events of the first game doesn’t mean he’s some tactical genius. He himself would have described almost all of it as luck. People always bring up the truck ambush in Pittsburgh as if he’s some kind of John Wick figure–he only figured that out because he’s been on the other side and knew the exact tactic they were using.
Joel is a selfish, ruthless bastard who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He’s also a loving father who cherished his relationship with Ellie, and tried to give them both some semblance of a life they had been robbed of. He wasn’t a genius, he wasn’t a superhero, he wasn’t perfect. He was human. And he got sloppy.

I agree with Benjin. Another point is that Joel and Tommy have never used fake names before. Why suddenly start?
