The Last of Us 2 All Parts & Supplements Locations

In The Last of Us 2 Supplements & Parts are used to unlock Upgrades. This guide shows all Part Locations and Supplement Locations in The Last of Us 2 (TLOU2). Parts are used exclusively to upgrade Weapons at Workbenches. Supplements are used exclusively to unlock Player Upgrades (Skills) via your backpack (press Touchpad). To unlock more Skill Trees you also need to find the Training Manuals.

It’s impossible to get all upgrades in a single playthrough because there are not enough Parts / Supplements. You can get to about 80% completion in one playthrough. For the rest you will have to play New Game+. Everything carries over into New Game+ (any Upgrades you have unlocked as well as the Parts / Supplements in your inventory).

In total it costs 1920 Parts and 1900 Supplements to fully upgrade everything. This will also earn you two gold trophies Arms Master  & Survival Expert . You need all upgrades at the same time to pop the trophies. If the Parts & Supplements stop spawning for you, it means you’ve fully upgraded Ellie (not a glitch).

These items are also part of the full All-in-One Collectible Guide, so if you prefer to get all Collectibles in one go refer to that guide instead. The location guide below is dedicated to just the Parts and Supplements without other Collectibles. This can be more straightforward if you already found all Collectibles and only want to finish off your remaining Upgrades. Do note that unlike Collectibles, you will need to pick them up again if you die. You also can’t get missing ones via Chapter Select, only in New Game+.

To make Parts & Supplements easier to locate, turn on the following Accessibility Options: go to Options > Accessibility > Navigation and Traversal > Enhanced Listening Mode = ON, Scan Range = 30M, Scan Time = 1S. Now you can press  +  in listening mode to highlight all collectibles in a 30 meter radius around you. This functions like a Sonar Pulse which you can spam constantly to see all nearby items.

Chapter 1: Prologue

• No Supplements / Parts in this Chapter (it’s only a short horse ride with Joel).

Chapter 2: Waking Up

Parts x7
When playing as Ellie and following Jesse, you go through a snowy town. At the end of the snowy road on the right side you can find the Parts at the Blacksmith (small bench where the Blacksmiths are working). Grab this before entering Tipsy Bison Bar on the left.

Immediately after leaving the Tipsy Bison bar on your right at the scaffolding (to the right of “Public Library” building entrance).

After leaving the Tipsy Bison bar, follow your friends to the very end of the road to find some parts on a box, where a squirrel sits in the snow.

Chapter 3: The Overlook

Chapter 4: Patrol

After Dina makes you climb up a rope, in the room on the right side (where a Bong is).

When Ellie and Dina ride their horses for the second time (after leaving the first building where they spend time at a lookout), Dina will point out some houses to check out. Dismount your horse and go inside the RV in the middle of the area to find some Supplements and Parts.

Same area as above. Leave the RV and check the abandoned house on the left (climb upstairs) for 2 Supplements in the bathroom.

Still in the same area, in a house further on the right. Climb onto the first floor via the pickup truck that’s parked outside (2 Supplements on the nightstand).

When Ellie and Dina stop their horses to enter the Greenplace Market, kill the first zombie in there. Do NOT go through the door on the left yet. Instead, go to the small side room on the right. Its door is blocked but you can climb out the window to circle around it. It has 7 Supplements in the sink. Warning: when you go through the door on the left first, you will be trapped and can’t come back here.

From the previous supplements, take the door leading to the left. In there Ellie throws a bottle at a runner (mini-cutscene). This room contains 4 Parts.

You will crawl under a truck, get attacked by a zombie and Dina saves you. After this, turn around and climb into the truck for 7 Upgrade Parts.

From the last location, enter the back of the truck to find an Artifact message and 8 Supplements.

When Ellie and Dina put on their masks and enter the spore-infested area, there are 3 Parts in the room on the left (also some rags and alcohol).

In the area where Ellie and Dina put on their masks and enter the spore-infested area, check the supermarket’s back office. There’s a Safe inside. The Safe Code is 07-20-13, also contains 14 Supplements and 12 Scrap Parts. Warning: Do this before squeezing through the second gap (in kitchen), if you proceed this far you fall down and there’s no way back!

When you reach the end of the overgrown highway there’s a big gate with graffiti on it that says “WLF TRESPASSERS KILLED ON SIGHT!”. Left of this wall, 7 Parts on the truck furthest on the left parked in a corner (climb up back of truck). Another 3 Parts are in the little guard house in the fenced area, also to the left of the big gate.

After you’ve climbed up the wall, when you enter the next tower do NOT go down the ladder yet. Instead, turn left to find a hidden ladder leading up the watch tower. On top you find 5 Parts among some other items.

Now go down the ladder in the watch tower and you’ll come outside to a closed gate on the right and a trailer in front of you. Go behind the trailer to find a generator and a yellow power cable. Turn on the generator and grab the yellow cable. Before opening the fence door next to the generator, throw the yellow cable from the generator over the building to the other side. Ideally, you stand at the Generator, throw it behind the sign on the trailer’s roof, have it land next to the fence door. You can now grab the yellow cable on the other side to use it as a rope and climb up the trailer building. The Parts and Supplements are on the roof there.

In the next trailer building where you enter the gate code (0512) you can break the window to climb out the back. There you can go up a watchtower to find 12 Parts and 17 Supplements, one of the better-hidden locations.

Chapter 9: Downtown

In the open world section, head north to the broken highway bridge between 6th Ave & 7th Ave. There’s a firetruck on the bridge. Climb the parked military truck next to the bridge, from its roof you can jump to the firetruck. Pick up the fire hose and throw it down the bridge + to a highway segment with a rolled over truck. Climb down the hose and swing off it to the overturned truck. In it you find the Supplements and Scrap Parts.

Third block from the left between Colombia ST & Marion ST (Ruins). Found at the top of the ruins. Walk upstairs, smash window straight ahead, step on balcony behind window, jump to next balcony on right, go further upstairs to reach the top.

Building between 5th Ave & 6th Ave (Valiant Music Shop). Search upstairs, smash the glass cabinets.

Supplements x1
3rd Block from the left on Madison ST, there are some stairs you can go up to find a note by a corpse (north of Valiant Music Shop, south of Court House).

2nd Block from left between Marion ST & Madison ST. While on Madison ST, there’s a gate you can push through, it’s actually the left (west) end of Madison ST where the road ends. There you find a safe (Code = 04-51) which contains these items.

In northernmost building (Ruston Coffee Shop), north of Spring ST (2nd block from the left on map, top row). Smash the windows to enter the shop. Search the shop, these items are scattered throughout. Another 7 Parts are found in the little guard house outside Ruston’s Coffee Shop.

3rd Block from the left between Marion ST & Madison ST, building east of Valiant Music Store (Barkos Pet Store). To open the door on the back of the building you need the Artifact “Pet Store Key” which you get from the restroom in “Ruston Coffee Shop” (where the above Parts were).

Between 6th Ave & 7th Ave head to the very north where the water / river is coming from (little waterfall). There’s a truck parked in front of the waterfall, Ellie will mark it on her map as a location. Open the back of the truck for 12 Parts.

2nd Block from left between Colombia ST & Marion ST (Dome). Head to the Dome. Inside the dome on the ground floor are 10 Parts scattered around the shelves.

Still inside the dome (synagogue), after climbing up to the upper floor (before using rope to swing).

On the upper floor of the dome, after using a rope to swing to a balcony (mandatory story part), check the rabbi’s office on the right (supplements on desk).

3rd Block from the left, between Madison ST & Spring ST (Courthouse). Climb the ladders at the south of the courthouse and enter through the window. In the same room where you enter is a Clicker walking in front of you. In the room behind the Clicker are 11 Supplements on a table to the left. Now kill all the Infected and Clickers in this area and you’ll be heading to the downstairs area of the Courthouse. At the end of the dark hallway smash the windows to climb inside a side office. It has 3 Parts on the floor.

Same room as above, has a safe where you smashed the window. Enter the Code 86-07-22, it contains these Parts and SUpplements.

Same area, before you rappel down the elevator rope, turn around for 8 Parts in the dark corridor (same corridor where corpses with artifact were).

Once you got the fuel, backtrack to “FUCK FEDRA GATE”, use fuel to turn on power and go through the gate (Code = 5345). Advance to Serevena hotel where it says “WLF?” on your map. 7 Parts are on ground floor, in a drawer.

Chapter 11: Capitol Hill

When the chapter starts it’s in the first house on the right (House with “3” number above its door). In kitchen drawer.

In house with “6” number at its door (house near outdoor swimming pool). 2 Supplements in downstairs bathroom, 6 in upstairs bathroom, 3 Parts in upstairs bedroom.

To the right of the Motel is a green dumpster. Interact with the dumpster and pull it underneath the nearby white balcony on the side. Climb the dumpster and from there onto the balcony, enter the apartment. 6 Upgrade Parts in washing machine room, 3 supplements in bathroom, 9 Parts on bed.

After jumping down the Motel (or using the dumpster to jump the fence), head all the way to the left to a gas station garage. There are multiple human enemies patrolling the gas station so be careful. (14 Parts in Gas Station Garage, 8 Supplements in Gas Station bathroom)

Inside the book store across from the gas station (in the bathroom), has some Infected in the corridor.

Continue until you go to a lower area with a store called Olive Street Market. In this building you find 8 Parts on a shelf in the locker room & 9 Supplements behind the cash register. Beware of Infected in the building and the humans waiting outside.

Bagel Bros Building, where a bunch of human enemies are. 6 Supplements on ground floor in shelf at the bar, 10 on top floor in copy room, 6 on top floor table near exit.

This one is easy to miss, so make a Manual Save just in case. After you see a Clicker running into a trap and exploding, there will be another two infected behind trip wires. Defeat them and BEFORE sliding down a muddy climb up the watch tower on the right. It has an Artifact and 13 Parts next to it.

After cutscene with dead horse and Dina puking, you will come to an area with lots of trip wires (trap mines). In the shop on the left you find a safe in the backoffice (Code 55-01-33). It contains these Supplements.

Chapter 12: Channel 13

When the chapter starts, 7 Parts are in the back of the “Channel 13 News” Van parked straight in front of you (before entering TV station).

Chapter 13: The Tunnels

After the encounter between humans and clickers, Ellie & Dina will open a train door together and enter a dark train compartment. Throughout the train are 12 Supplements.

Shortly after crawling under a train, you enter a room with a red light and must climb up the ladder. Instead of picking up the yellow cable on the left, check the side room on the right for a workbench and 7 Parts.

After using the yellow cable / rope to jump across, check room on the right.

After defeating the first two Bloaters (new enemy type) you will go through a chain gate. Afterward, enter the first room on the right. There’s a fence-in area, which you can enter by crawling under the desk on the right side of the room and then crouching through a hole in the fence.

After exiting the next enemy encounter area you’ll be in the metro station. Go through the first blue train you see and check behind the train.

Chapter 14: The Theater

From the start of the town, in 2nd building on the left “Natural Remedies” (3 in shelf behind counter, 7 in shelf on right, 8 in bathroom you can enter via the broken wall in the backyard).

From the start of the town, in the 2nd building on the right “Rosernont” (clothing store). Go through the hole in the wall behind the counter to drop down to the cellar.

Go back outside on the street and climb on the overturned truck to advance (mini cutscene with human enemies driving off in a jeep). You will see “Ruston Coffee” shop in front of you. Immediately take a sharp left turn and walk the path all the way to the end. There you can climb up a dumpster into “Caroline Paper Co.” which contains these Supplements. From the last location, backtrack out the building where you came from. Same as above (8 in left drawer, 2 on counter).

Backtrack and enter “Ruston Coffee”. From the bathroom you can climb up a vent to reach the kitchen with 4 Parts.

Continue with the story (climb ladder behind bookstore > drop down roof > kill the dogs and human enemies > go through red door). After your first encounter with dogs and going through the red door, the Parts are on the immediate right.

After the last location, you need to open a fenced gate which makes a dumpster roll down the street (mandatory story progress). Check the ground where the dumpster was before it slid down.

After you pushed the dumpster to jump inside a building with a workbench, check the room on the right side (across from the workbench).

Exit the building with the workbench, then you’ll come to another road with 4 buildings (2 left: Velvet Tattoo, Shear Lux, 2 right: Goldstar Liquor, Pet Boutique). Enter the 1st building on the left “Velvet Tattoo”. You can find 9 Supplements on a blue box next to a chair in the Tattoo parlor.

Enter the alley behind Velvet Tattoo shop. Pull away the green dumpster from the door. Behind you find a room with many Infected and a Safe. Parts are in the Safe (Code = 30-82-65).

In the 2nd building on the left “Shear Lux”, the one next to Velvet Tattoo. Supplements are on the counter.

In the 1st building on the right “Goldstar Liquor”. In the back of the building you can drop down to the cellar. There are 2 Shamblers in here (poison spore infected). Kill them, then loot the cellar (2 Parts left side in small shelf, 2 Parts right side on table, 10 Supplements in basement bathroom).

In the next section with human enemies and dogs (after getting the Bow Weapon). Walk to the last house on the right side of the road where many enemies are stationed. In the garage you find these Parts.

Just a little further down the suburbs, where you encounter more enemies with a dog. There will be a gazebo in a garden area and after it is a green garden hut. In there are 10 parts (shelf left after entering).

During the next enemy encounter, it’ll be in one of the burnt-down buildings further down the suburbs (looks like a metal hut, parts are on the table inside).

Chapter 17: Finding Strings

Chapter 18: The Seraphites

Parts x10
Immediately after going through the revolving door at the start of the chapter, climb the boxes on the left to the roof. On the left of the roof you can find 10 Parts.

Parts x5
In the first building “Quickmart” you have to go through (supermarket). Check the bathroom for 5 Parts.

Parts x4 + Supplements x15
In the next building on the left “Kingsgate Brewing Co.”. Smash the windows to enter and kill all the Infected in there. There are 4 Parts on a dining table and 15 Supplements in the kitchen.

Parts x18
From “Kingsgate Brewing Co.” enter the building across the street “Conference Center”. Step into the elevator shaft on the left and climb up one floor. Destroy all windows and use the bottles/bricks scattered around the floor to throw them at the glass roofs outside. Once the windows and glass roofs are destroyed, throw the rope over the now-destroyed outer glass roof. Then you can climb up the rope to swing to a locked room on the other side of the building with a bunch of Parts inside.

Leave the “Conference Center” and follow the main road. There’s a yellow taxi under an overpass, it has 6 Parts on the floor.

Supplements x24
After passing under the overpass on the main road (just after taxi), take a left turn to reach a long apartment building. In front of the main entrance there’s a parked truck. Climb on its roof, from there jump onto the apartment building’s roof. Jump over to the balcony on the right and smash the windows. In the back of this apartment is a safe with 24 Supplements. Code is 08-10-83.

On the same floor, in the apartment on the other side (also a Workbench there).

Supplements x29
Same as above. Interact with the Workbench and you’ll be attacked by a group of enemies. Enter the room where they came from for the Supplements in shelf/nightstand.

After sliding a dumpster under a gate and climbing up a wall, the next building you enter after this is the Seattle Conference Center. Jump to the scaffold and from there to the ground floor. There’s a small office where you land. Before moving on, destroy the window on the back of the office and climb in for 6 Parts on the desk.

As soon as you reach the sewers, dive under the metal bars on the left to reach a room with 15 Parts (on shelf).

After killing the Scars in the Park (human enemies with bows), enter the next building “Garden Suites 113”. Head upstairs and enter room 201, there are Parts on the cupboard and in the shelf nearest to the balcony exit.

From the last location, enter the balcony and go up the fire escape staircase to the room above for a whopping 35 Supplements in one spot.

After killing a human miniboss with a pickaxe keep playing until you come to a rooftop and drop down a ladder. You’ll land in water. Exit the water and enter the building on the left “Weston’s Pharmacy”. There are 2 Supplements on counter with metal bars.

Same location, climb through the hole behind the counter to a dark room with the safe in the corner. Safe Code = 38-55-23. Safe also contains 18 Supplements.

When passing through the “WDL” Shipping & Packaging shop, after going through the first door in the building there are 17 Supplements in the cafeteria (cupboard) & 17 Parts in the bathroom.

From the last location, enter the next room on the right (still inside “WDL” building). Some rubble is blocking the way but you can hold to crawl under it. This room has a Trading Card, Workbench, 6 Supplements.

When you first encounter enemies with Jessie, go into the first building on the right and they’re at the back on a computer desk.

Later into the chapter, when Ellie and Jesse go swimming, at the end of the water dive down to find 9 Parts on the floor underwater.

When you drop down to the exit of the bookstore, before heading outside turn around and crawl under the broken floor (1 Part on left on rubble, 11 Supplements on left behind rubble).

During the next enemy encounter go into the big store on the right “Rachel’s Fabrics”. On the upper floor you find 18 Supplements on a desk in the corner.

After diving the next time, you’ll enter the ruins of a warehouse. On the upper floor are 15 Upgrade Parts next to a Workbench.

From the last spot climb up one floor to find 10 Upgrade Parts on a metal shelf.

Chapter 21: The Flooded City

Immediately when the level starts, before you drive into the first building with your boat, take a sharp right turn to find an open truck next to an ambulance. Here you can get out of your boat and grab 7 Parts from the truck.

Inside the first house of this chapter, where you’re forced to stop your boat to open a chain gate. Go upstairs (to the left of the gate), push a cart aside to reveal a pile of rubble you can crawl through. On the other side drop down to a safe. It contains these items. Safe Code is 70-12-64. Also, if you pull this cart to the back of the room (where the artifact was), you can climb into an air vent with 2 parts and some supplies.

Leave the last building and continue by boat. After your boat’s motor goes out the next building you see will be “Seattle Sleep Warehouse”. BEFORE driving into this building, take the alternative path to the left and park your boat in front of the dark garage with blue drums. There you find 4 Parts on a shelf next to a Workbench and 14 Parts underwater on the right.

Continue by boat into the next area. On the right there’s a building called “Carthy Hotel”. Inside you can park your boat to find 9 Supplements next to a corpse.

Continue with your boat to the next section where some enemies are shooting. Instead of engaging with them, drive your boat to the far left, to a destroyed train hanging off a bridge. Walk up the train to find a rope, throw it over the door on the right, climb up, drop through the next  train compartments roof and you’ll find the Supplements.

Scattered On the upper floor of the building with all the enemies “Kingsgate Brewing Co.”.

During your next boat stop in building “W&B Arcade” (story forces you to get out of the boat here). The kitchen has 10 Supplements.

Still in W&B Arcade, go up the stairs to the upper floor of the Arcade. Here you find a workbench and 29 Parts (1 in junction box at stairs, 7 by crawling under the ball game in corner, 20 on game table, 1 in junction box left of workbench).

After the boss fight against the big Bloater, go upstairs and immediately turn left, there are 12 Supplements in the sink of the bar.

Still on same floor, turn to the right and enter the “PC Cafe”. You find 2 Parts in here (on left desk and right desk).

Chapter 22: Infiltration

After wading through the first pool of water inside the Aquarium building, you climb up a ladder and then drop down to a dark area. There are 3 Parts on the table, 6 Parts + 6 Supplements in the locker.

After falling out of an air duct you get attacked by a dog (have to tap to kill it). Immediately to the left on the next shelf are 17 Parts.

Climb up to find a table with 13 Supplements.

After leaving the room with the boat hanging from ceiling, you will reunite with Manny. On the right side will be a building called “MS Corporation Soft Drink Distribution Center”. Enter the next hallway and take a right turn into a side office. Open the drawer for another 7 Supplements.

From the last spot, turn around and enter the hallway where you came from. You find these Supplements on a shelf near the Aqua Lime soda machine.

When you reach a flooded area with a little waterfall, climb up the waterfall. Don’t jump across the isles on the right yet. Instead, climb the blue bus on the left and jump into the overgrown hole in the wall to find 10 Supplements in a hidden kitchen.

When you jump from a roof to a highway with cars parked on it, there will be 8 parts by the brown car furthest left.

After jumping from the highway to an apartment, enter the bedroom on the right. Parts are in a Safe here, Code is 30-23-04. There are also 7 Supplements in the bathroom of the same apartment.

From the last location, go upstairs to the roof. Take the stairs on the roof and there will be a fenced area on the right with 9 Parts on the ground.

After jumping over some isles in a river again, you’ll come to a phone store called “Interbay”. It has 28 Parts scattered around (6 Parts on table to the right of workbench, 11 Parts on table by the corpse, 7 Parts in cash register drawer, 4 Parts in drawer by the stairs).

In the next building you enter, in the “Examination Room”. There are 19 Supplements in the drawer (before heading through the door where Lev is waiting).

Shortly after the last location you’ll climb up a ladder, then walk over a wooden bridge. After the bridge on the right there are 7 Parts.

From “Orchards Juice Bar” enter the next hallway (normal story path). On the windows it will say “Hotel Blacray”. At the end of the hallway, near a desk, there’s a green door. Enter the door to find a storage room with a Safe. Enter Code 12-18-79 to open it and get the Supplements.

Immediately after the next cutscene in the stairwell (where Abby puts on her mask and enters the spore infected area). Turn around after the cutscene and check the room behind you for 8 Supplements in the living room drawer.

Still in the spore infested gasmask area. After you walk over a metal beam and squeeze through a gap, turn left and follow the path to a bathroom. 8 Supplements are in there (drawer at sink).

After using the fire hose to rappel down a few floors and dropping down one more floor, you’ll get attacked by a Clicker. In the same room as the Clicker are 12 Upgrade Parts on the table.

From the above-mentioned Parts, still on the same floor, you can squeeze through a bathroom door and balance over a short wooden beam. On the other end of the beam is a Flamethrower Weapon and 10 Supplements.

From the above spot, drop down one floor. Don’t go into the room with the infected yet, turn around and go along the narrow ledge. In the bathroom there are 7 supplements in a drawer, then in the next room near the ledge there are 14 Parts.

From the last spot, drop down one more floors and walk over another short wooden beam into a room with a Shambler (big poison spore enemy). Kill the Shambler and check the drawer to the right of it for 3 Parts.

From the above-mentioned Shambler you need to walk over a longer metal beam and jump down 1 floor (normal story path). As soon as you jump down another enemy breaks out of a wall and instantly grabs you. 10 Supplements are straight in front of you under a table lamp.

After dropping down 1 more floor, there are 2 Pill Bottles in the nightstand next to a bed (6 Supplements + 17 Supplements).

Quite a bit later, after opening an elevator shaft and jumping down the elevator shaft. Immediately after exiting the elevator shaft, turn left to find 8 Parts left of a vending machine.

Just after the previous Parts, you’ll remove your mask and go outside to a plaza with a bar on it. There are 18 Parts in the pavilion in the far right corner.

In the next building you enter after going down a small ledge, directly left there are Parts sitting in a bathroom.

Chapter 35: Ground Zero

After splitting up with Nora at the Oncology Center (when you are alone again), head downstairs and drop down one floor. The room where you land contains 14 Upgrade Parts on a shelf.

From the above location, instead of going through the yellow door, turn around and take the other way leading to a chapel. The chapel contains 12 Supplements on the left.

Now go through the yellow door and through the quarantine tunnel (you’ll put on your mask automatically here, spore infected area). On the left end of the next area, enter a little lab and check the shelf for some Supplements (before squeezing through a door that leads to the “Surgery” center).

Directly across from the room with the last Supplements you can squeeze through a gap in the door, leading you to the “Surgery” center. In the 2nd room on the left open the drawer.

From the last location, climb over the broken wall and 9 Parts will be straight in front of you, 27 more Parts in the room to the immediate left. It’s the room where you must go to turn on the power (unmissable part of the story).

After turning on the power and going through the next door (entering corridor with 2 clickers), immediately take a left to a room that was previously inaccessible (since it’s door required power). It contains 18 Supplements on a shelf on the left.

Exit the last room but stay in the same corridor with the Clickers. At the end of the corridor, on the right, enter the Supply Room. It has some Pills on the Shelf where you enter and 3 Pill Bottles on the left behind glass (smash it), for a total of 40 Supplements. Beware, smashing the glass will attract all enemies in the area, but the flamethrower makes quick work of them.

After defeating the two bosses, leave the boss area and you’ll come to a flooded garage. As soon as you’re in the garage, turn to the left for a small security guard house. Smash its windows to find the Coin inside the guard house and 20 Supplements on the box next to it.

Chapter 44: The Resort

In the starting area of the Chapter, kill the first group of enemies. Then advance along the train tracks where you encounter more enemies. There will also be a Van with the logo of the Rattler enemy faction sprayed onto it. To the left of the Van enter a shop for a lot of ammo and 13 Parts. Be cautious of the enemies inside this shop if you haven’t killed them yet.

During the next enemy encounter, there’s 1 Upgrade Part at the circular saw in the hut in the center of the area, 12 Parts on the balcony of the building to the right of the Workbench (climb up ladder), 9 Parts outside on the white container behind the Workbench.
