The Last of Us 2 All Craftable Items (Crafting Recipes)

The Last of Us 2 (TLOU2) has 12 Craftable Items (Crafting Recipes). A few of them are unlocked by finding throwable weapons in the world and others come from Player Upgrades. You must craft each recipe once for the Tools of the Trade trophy. They also carry over into New Game+ so in case you haven’t unlocked a Recipe you can get it on your next playthrough.

Health Kit

Ingredients: Alcohol + Rag

Location: Automatically obtained during Chapter 4: Patrol, cannot be missed.

Molotov

Ingredients: Alcohol + Rag

Location: Automatically given to you during Chapter 4: Patrol, cannot be missed.

Stun Bomb (Smoke Bomb when upgraded)

Ingredients: Canister + Explosive

Location: Found in Chapter 9: Downtown, inside Barkos Pet Store (3rd Block from the left between Marion ST & Madison ST). You get the key to enter this shop from the bathroom in Ruston Coffee Shop (northernmost building). If you missed this, it respawns in front of the Serevena hotel later in Chapter 9.

Trap Mine

Ingredients: Canister + Explosive

Location: Found in Chapter 11: Capitol Hill. In the starting area of the chapter there’s a Motel. To the right of the Motel is a green dumpster. Push it under the white balcony, climb up to find the Trap Mine in the bedroom.

Silencer

Ingredients: Rag + Canister

Location: In “Stealth” Skill Tree get the 1st Skill “Craft Silencers”.

Melee Upgrade

Ingredients: Binding + Blade + Melee

Location: In “Crafting” Skill Tree get the 1st Skill “Craft Melee Upgrades”.

Arrows

Ingredients: Binding + Blade

Location: Find the Bow Weapon in Chapter 16: Hillcrest. You automatically get attacked by an Infected when you enter a garage, it has the Bow on its back. Would be hard to miss this as there’s a Bow Shooting Exercise right after exiting this garage.

Explosive Arrows

Ingredients: Explosive + Binding

Location: In “Explosives” Skill Tree get the 1st Skill “Craft Explosive Arrows”.

Pipe Bomb

Ingredients: Alcohol + Canister + Explosive

Location: Automatically unlocked after reaching Chapter 25: On Foot, when you have collected the necessary crafting materials (1 Alcohol, 1 Canister, 1 Explosive).

Incendiary Shells

Ingredients: Alcohol + Explosive

Location: In “Firearms” Skill Tree get the 1st Skill “Craft Incendiary Shells”.

Hunting Pistol Ammo

Ingredients: Explosive + Blade

Location: In “Firearms” Skill Tree get the 2nd Skill “Craft Hunting Pistol Ammo”.

Shivs

Ingredients: Binding + Blade

Location: In “Covert Ops” Skill Tree get the 1st Skill “Craft Shivs”.

That’s every item you can craft in The Last of Us Part II. After crafting all of them you earn the trophy Tools of the Trade.
