The First Berserker: Khazan Collectibles Locations Guide

March 24, 2025 by ObsiEez Leave a Comment

The First Berserker: Khazan contains 161 collectibles relevant for trophies/achievements. They are divided into 6 different categories (100 Soulstones, 44 Jarlings, 15 Golden Collection Items, at least 1 Collection Item, at least 1 Crafting Recipe, and Ghost Items which aren’t trophy-related). While most of the Crafting Recipes and Ghost Items aren’t required to platinum the game, they are still extremely helpful anyway.

This walkthrough will guide you to all the collectibles in chronological order. Nothing is missable, everything can be collected via mission replay as long as you don’t start New Game+ after the credits.

Collectible Types:

  1. Soulstones – There are 100 Soulstones scattered across the game, all of which are needed for :silver: Agent of the Netherworld. Soulstones are red crystals that can be broken either with your weapon or your Javelin if they’re out of range. They can be spent by talking to Daphrona to upgrade your Lacrima drop rate, recovery rate, or your spirit gauge.
  2. Jarlings – There are a total of 44 Jarlings scattered across the game, all of which are needed for :silver: Jar Enthusiast. Jarlings are found inside of the breakable jars and pots that can be found around the map. You’ll know you’re close to one because you’ll hear a little jingle the closer you get and your controller will start to vibrate (if vibration is turned on). Collecting Jarlings will let you purchase new headgear from Danjin, as well as crafting materials for specific armor sets. While you only need 42 to collect the final reward, you need all 44 for the trophy. Jarlings won’t start appearing until you’ve completed the Bonus Mission Jar Enthusiast, so you’ll have to backtrack after completing that mission.
  3. Collection Items – Collection items are scattered around the map and serve as a way to expand the backstory of characters and locations. You only need to collect 1 to unlock :bronze: Traces of a Stranger, which will happen automatically from story progress.
  4. Golden Collection Items – Golden collection items are the exact same as regular collection items, except they serve to further develop the plot of the game. There are 15 and you’ll need to collect all of them to unlock :silver: Ozma’s Past, and it’s also a requirement for unlocking :gold: THE FIRST BERSERKER ending trophy.
  5. Crafting Recipes – Throughout the game you’ll also find crafting recipes which will allow you to craft new sets of weapons/armor, as well as consumable items. You only need to collect 1 for :bronze: Special Scroll, and then crafting said item to unlock :bronze: Artisanship. Even though all of them aren’t required for the platinum, it’s highly recommended you collect them anyway as it can make completing the game easier when you have access to more weapon and armor.
  6. Ghost Items – Ghost items are used to unlock or upgrade your Phantoms. None of these are required for the platinum, but phantom upgrades are extremely useful. It’s highly recommended to collect them all, especially if you decide to switch which phantom you use.

All the collectible are spread across both Main and Bonus missions throughout the 4 areas of the game. Once you reach The Crevice, you’ll be able to select and replay any mission you like in order to collect anything you’ve missed.

  1. Charnak Mountain Range
  2. Pell Los Plateau
  3. Heart of Pell Los
  4. Vitalon, Capital of the Empire
