In The Crew 2 you can invite friends to play events and free-roam together with you. Up to 4 players can drive in a crew.
To invite someone to your group session, press the Options-Button on PS4 
/ Menu-Button on Xbox One 
and go to the Roster. Here select someone from “My Friends” and click “Invite into the Crew”. Do note that it only shows players who have the game on your friends list.
You must have beaten the intro race before this option is unlocked. After that you can invite friends at any time. If your friend does not show up in the Roster, on the PS4 you can dashboard out to the PS4 menu and press 
on the application to “Now Playing” and directly join a friends session from there, no invite needed. You can also make a PSN party chat and join players through that if all else fails.
To play races (events) together, have one player drive to the race. Upon driving into the race start it sends out an invite to all party members. Then they can accept and will be teleported to the race start. You can also drive around the open world together. It’s also possible for everyone in the party to do something completely different. You can still play races by yourself while other crew members work on their story progression or open world exploration. Or you can go hunt for Photo Ops together, the possibilities are many 🙂
In the open world the records of your friends will pop up in form of green star icons. You can try to beat their speed records. You can also set a marker on the world map for all party members to see.

I just bought the game On xbox and I want to play with my friend but I don’t have the roster. I only have news, activity, catalogue snd options. And if im able to invite him it just says that my crew is full even tho it isn’t. PLEASE help me.

i think your game is just busted my guy if you cant back out with B into free roam or hit the map with what ever the map button is on xbox idk i have a ps4 then your game is facked

Is there a way to play a race with 5 friends? obviously custom matches are not a thing but just being able to start a race up and have 5 friends in it

Me and my friend both has the game on PC. I invited him to join my crew but he can’t accept my invitation and vice versa. All he can see is the notification of my invitation but can’t interact with it or accept it in any way. Someone pls help
