Introduction

Welcome to The Complex Trophy Guide!

A decision-based Live-Action Videogame by Wales Interactive, a studio that released similar titles like The Bunker, Late Shift & The Shapeshifting Detective before. All decisions you make will have an effect on relationships with other characters and the ending you will see in the end.

Once the Game has been finished once, you get the ability to skip :r1: previously watched scenes, which reduces the time to replay it for all nine endings significantly. The first run will take roughly 70 minutes, the second about half an hour and the remaining ones merely 5-10 minutes.

Before playing, I would suggest to turn the setting “Pause Choices” on. This way, you can think for as long as you wish, even if a timer is running down. The game will stop and continue, once you have made a decision. Once you are on your second (or more) playthrough and are skipping :r1: scenes, make sure to properly select and confirm :x: your choices, as skipping in the selection-screen will randomly confirm any choice – likely not the one you want to make.

Step 1: Play the Game to your liking

This interactive Movie should be played on your own without looking at this guide at least once or twice.

Continuing to read the guide from here will confront you with major story / decision spoilers.

Step 2: Replay for additional Endings

Check the solutions below to get the remaining Endings you haven’t obtained yourself.

Have a look at this Flowchart to get a quick summary on how to achieve all endings. Red arrows indicate a bad relationship with that person (<50%), green arrows stand for a good relationship (>50%) – contains major spoilers, hence the preview image has been made tiny (click for full size version).

The Complex Trophy Guide

Platinum Trophy
Acquire all trophies
Earn all other trophies in The Complex to unlock Platinum.
The Nano Glitches And The Martyr
Find an ending
Clare ending 1 out of 4
This is one of the worse endings. You need a bad relationship with Clare, spare here & sacrifice Rees when having the choice. Ultimately you need to kill her in the end, while standing in Natalie’s office. Clare left you a “gift” you didn’t know about.
Second Chances
Find an ending
Clare ending 2 out of 4
Similar to the one above, you need a bad relationship with Clare and spare her instead of Rees. When in Natalie’s office, do not kill her but knock her out.
Get Out Of This Alive
Find an ending
Clare ending 3 out of 4
To achieve this ending, you got to have a positive relationship with Clare and sacrifice Rees when having the choice. In the end, save Clare instead of killing her.
The Promise
Find an ending
Clare ending 4 out of 4
For this ending, you also need a good relationship with Clare and spare her in favour of Rees. Ultimately you need to kill her in Natalie’s office.
Lab Rat
Find an ending
Rees ending 1 out of 4
To achieve this rather sad ending, you need to spare Rees when having the chance. Once you face Emily and her goons in the end, you need to take the aggressive approach and kill Emily (Fuck You Emily-choice).
Stalemate
Find an ending
Rees ending 2 out of 4
Similar to the ending above, you want to spare Rees in favour of Clare and take the aggressive choice against Emily. This time, you need to kill Rees, however (The Greater Good-choice).
Trust Me For Once
Find an ending
Rees ending 3 out of 4
For this ending sequence, you need a positive relationship with Rees and spare him when given the chance. When facing Emily in the end, choose the reasonable path and to use Rees.
MVP – Most Vanishing Person
Find an ending
Rees ending 4 out of 4
This ending requires you to spare Rees and while facing Emily in the end, to choose the reasonable answer and not using Rees.
Storage Hunter
Find the evidence
You need to maintain a good relationship with Rees for this. When making your way to check on the airvent, choose the delicate approach. Now Rees will help you get into the vent and Amy will eventually drop out on the other side.

Beat It
Tell a joke
After the incident in the Complex, you will tend to Rees’ leg-wound. To distract him, you are given the choice to either tell a joke or slap him in the face. Take the first option to achieve this trophy.

Deadly Secret
Find the hidden ending
Hidden early ending
When given the early choice on how to transport Clare back to the Complex, choose the Ambulance to achieve an early ending.
However, this can’t be achieved on your first playthrough. You need to have obtained one of the regular endings before being able to get this.
Free Champagne
Escort the investor out
When giving the presentation to stakeholders in the beginning, a certain man in the audience will interrupt you with a remark. Choose Dismiss to have him eventually escorted out.

Falling For You
He was alive…
When you are in the Lab and looking for a way to escape, Amy will at some point sit on the floor and can either ignore Clare or choose to Find Out More. Choose the latter to open up the path, where Amy will destroy the toilet to see what’s underneath. Now you need to choose to drop something big – this way, Amy and Rees will drop the body of Dr. Malkin into the hole. Seems like a wasn’t really dead. Now he is.

Tough Decision
Relationships matter
The only truly unmissable trophy. This one is awarded to make the early choice to give either Talo or Dima the last vial of medicine.
Blast From The Past
Reinforcements have arrived
If you have taken the drone as the mode of transportation for Clare, you and Emily will arrive back at Kensington’s facility. After a brief talk with founder Nathalie, an old acquaintance will join the scene and you’ll get this trophy automatically.
Kamikaze
Sacrifices must be made
During to course of the game, you will have to choose to either sacrifice Rees or Clare before heading out of the Complex again. Choose any and get this trophy in return.
The Rebel And The Doctor
Rekindle an old flame
If you’ve maintained an overall positive relationship with Rees, accept his suggestion to sacrifice himself and it will result in a nostaligic scene. After this, you can still choose whom really to sacrifice; him or Clare (Kamikaze trophy).

Kindar Surprise
Sleeper agent
Choosing to sacrifice Rees and taking Clare to Nathalie’s office, will always result in the scene where Amy reveals herself as a Secret Agent.
Not A People Person
Everyone dies
To achieve this trophy, all 9 persons who you will interact with over the course of the game plus Amy herself need to die.

The first step is to make both Dima and Talo die in the first sequence. Talk serious with Talo and positive to Dima and choose to treat either one. This way either one will slap away the medicine and both die.

Dr. North and Dr. Malkin will always die, no actions needed here on your behalf.

When having the choice to sacrifice Rees or Clare, you want to choose him, thus saving her (for now). Be sure to be negative towards her all the time.

The path with Clare will always lead into Nathalie’s office, where you will have a stand-off against Parker, Nathalie and Emily. Those three will always be killed on this path of the story.

Lastly, you want to kill Clare as well, making her the ninth person to die in the story.

Because your relationship with Clare was not good, Amy will ultimately also die.

This should unlock the Ending  The Nano Glitches and the Martyr as well.

People Pleaser
Get over 50% relationship status with everyone
The quickest way for this trophy is to choose the hidden ending “Deadly Secret“. This will make Amy die early and there are only four persons she had contact to – and thus a relationship status.

Talk realistic to Dima and light hearted to Talo and choose to treat either one. One of them will always die, but the relationship-value will always be taken into in consideration.

When giving the presentation to stakeholders, you want to leave it at the first possible time to not anger Emily.

When arriving at the scene, choose the ambulance to end the game early. Rees’ status will always be the same at this time of the story. If you successfully had all four persons above 50%, you’ll get this trophy.

For the Stalemate ending, choosing “The greater good” is what will have Amy kill Rees, and “fuck you Emily” is obviously killing Emily. Other than that I can confirm the guide was easy to follow for platinum apart from the “Falling for you” trophy which you added more details too.

Thank you for a great guide, enjoyable game too.

Appreciate the guide! For “Not A People Person”, Amy has to die as well (#10). In order to get that ending, you have to be as crappy to Clare as possible throughout – ignore her, let her suffer, etc.

Otherwise, after you shoot her, it just ends with her holding the MI-6 card and fading to black, leaving her alive.

For the trophy “Not A People Person” you also need to have Amy die at the end not just having the 9 people you interact with die, so you need to have clare at <50% so she poisoned you in the elevator, i tried to do this trophy only reading your guide and it wasnt popping so i killed Amy and it popped.
