Super Mario Odyssey Power Moon Locations

Lake Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey has 33 Power Moon Locations. After finishing Sand Kingdom you will have the choice to visit either Lake or Wooden Kingdom. This guide will show you locations for Power Moons 1-25 in the Lake Kingdom.

Lake Kingdom is your typical Super Mario underwater level with opportunity to play as a fish or even a zipper. You will not be able to find the first 25 Power Moons right from the beginning. Some of them will unlock after you have visited further kingdoms in the game. So don’t worry if a Power Moon challenge hasn’t appeared for you yet.

Power Moon 1 – Broodals Over the Lake

Just like in previous kingdoms you will be granted your first Power Moon for defeating one of the Broodals. Follow the main path until you reach the area with a water tube in the middle. Activate the P-button and make your way up the tube. Keep following the path until you reach the boss. Throw your cap at his in order to activate the flower-springboard and jump on his 3 times.

Power Moon 2 – Dorrie-Back Rider

This Power Moon will be located on Dorries back. Simply swim into it.

Power Moon 3 – Cheep Cheep Crossing

You will see 6 holes in the wall with Cheep Cheeps swimming back and forward in front of them. A Power Moon is located in the upper middle hole.

Power Moon 4 – End of the Hidden Passage

Use the flower-springboard to reach the platfrom and use your cap on the zipper in order to reach the Power Moon hidden behind the concrete bars.

Power Moon 5 – What’s in the Box?

Destroy the boxes on the cliff in the picture and make your way to the opposite site where the Power Moon will spawn.

Power Moon 6 – On the Lakeshore

Simply butt-slam the spot just in front of the Odyssey.

Power Moon 7 – From the Broken Pillar

Use your butt-slam on the broker pillar in front of the entrance to the main plaza.

Power Moon 8 – Treasure in the Spiky Waterway

At the beginning of the level you will have to make your way across a spiky underwater area. In this area you can find a treasure chest with a Power Moon in it.

Power Moon 9 – Lake Gardening: Spiky Passage Seed

In the spiky area grab the seed you will find there and plant it in the pot in the main plaza. Revisit some other kingdom a few times and come back once the plant is full-grown to capture your Power Moon.

Power Moon 10 – Lake Kingdom Timer Challenge 1

Hit the scarecrow and get to the Power Moon in time. Use your butt-slams to dive faster.

Power Moon 11 – Lake Kingdom Timer Challenge 2

You can start this challenge when revisiting the boss area. Use your summersaults to jump high enough on the platforms.

Power Moon 12 – Moon Shards in the Lake

You will have to collect 5 Moon Shards to form a Power Moon. The shards aren’t really hidden in this area and you can easily find all of them in the underwater area. The only hidden shard is located behind the crates you can see in the picture below.

Power Moon 13 – Taking Notes: Dive and Swim

Collect all the notes in time to unlock a Power Moon.

Power Moon 14 – Taking Notes: In the Cliffside

Collect all the notes in time to unlock a Power Moon. This time in a retro 2d area.

Power Moon 15 – Lake Fishing

Just like in previous kingdom use Lapitu in order to fish the biggest shadow out of the water in order to unlock a Power Moon.

Power Moon 16 – I Met a Lake Cheep Cheep!

Capture a Cheep Cheep and jump into the small ring-formed area on the lake. The fish lady will grant you a Power Moon for that.

Power Moon 17 – Our Secret Little Room

In the main plaza you can see some spaces in the wall. In one of those you can find a hidden room in which you will be granted a Power Moon.

Power Moon 18 – Let’s Go Swimming, Captain Toad!

On the lowest level of the main plaza you can see a very deep tunnel going down. Reach the end of the tunnel by butt-slamming yur way down to find Captain Toad there. If you run out of air, don’t worry. Your health will drop relatively slowly once your air is gone.

Power Moon 19 – Shopping in Lake Lamode

Just like in every other kingdom buy the Power Moon for 100 coins from the yellow shopkeeper.

Power Moon 20 – A Successful Repair Job

At some point the rock blocking the path to the puzzle area will be gone. You need to flip the concrete wall so it fits next to second half of it. Keep flipping the wall until it looks the same as the picture below.

Power Moon 21 – I Feel Underdressed

Collect some purple coins and buy the swimming gear from the purple shopkeeper. Enter the wedding dress room and spin your cap on top the place where the dress used to be.

Power Moon 22 – Unzip the Chasm

Enter the zipper-puzzle area and finish it in order to obtain a Power Moon.

Power Moon 23 – Super-Secret Zipper

In the same area as before you will come across a zipper on the other side, which you apparently can’t reach. Use your cap to reveal the invisible bridge and use your cap on both zippers to be transported to a hidden area with a Power Moon.
