Super Mario Odyssey Power Moon Locations

The Cascade Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey has 25 Power Moon Locations. It’s the second kingdom you will visit while playing the game and the first one in which you can collect Power Moons.

This kingdom has a prehistoric design and a huge T-Rex sleeping on a mountain waiting for you to take control over it using your cap. The following guide will show you how to find all Power Moons.

Power Moon 1 – Our First Power Moon

Just like the title says, this will be your first Power Moon you will collect in the game. In order to get it use your cap on the Chain Chomp, pull it back like a slingshot and release it towards the rock to uncover a Power Moon.

Power Moon 2 – Multi Moon Atop the Falls

This will be your first Multi Moon in the game, which will grant you 3 Power Moons instead of 1. To obtain this one you will have to make your way up to the big rabbit on top of the mountain. In order to get up there once again use Chain Chomp to break some stones and finish the 2D Mario stage.

Follow the path until you meet the big rabbit, which is also the boss you will have to beat in order to get your Multi Moon.

Throw your hat at her golden Chain Chomp and release it back in her face three times. She will become a little more aggressive after each hit, but she will still be very easy to defeat. Once you hit her for the 3rd time you will obtain the Multi Moon.

Power Moon 3 – Chomp Through the Rocks

Head to the location shown on the map above and once again use Chain Chomp to crush the rocks. Behind the rocks you will find the Power Moon.

Power Moon 4 – Behind the Waterfall

Head back to the 2D area which you went through before. This time instead of going all the way up, head left in the 2D area through a hidden passage to find a Power Moon hidden at the end.

Power Moon 5 – On Top of the Rubble

For this one you will have to revisit the area after starting the Odyssey for the first time. Once in the area the Power Moon will be on, just like the title says, on top of the rubble in front of you.

Power Moon 6 – Treasure of the Waterfall Basin

This Power Moon is located at the start of the area. Go for a swim and you willfind the Power Moon in a chest around the corner.

Power Moon 7 – Above a High Cliff

You will see the Power Moon on top of cliff near the area marked on the map above. In order to get on top use the Chain Chomp to destroy some rocks and use the green tube you just discovered.

Power Moon 8 – Across the Floating Isles

Head to the location marked on the map and jump across the floating isles in order to get the Power Moon.

Power Moon 9 – Cascade Kingdom Timer Challenge 1

Use your cap on the scarecrow next to the starting point. It will unlock the Power Moon and a few platforms you will have to get across in time. If you take too long, the platforms will disappear and you will have to hit the scarecrow again to retry.

Power Moon 10 – Cascade Kingdom Timer Challenge 2

Same procedure as for the previous one. Hit the scarecrow and get to Power Moon in time.

Power Moon 11 – Good Morning, Captain Toad!

You can see Captain Toad on a ledge near the big T-Rex. To reach him you will have to get on the mountain above him and drop down to the ledge he is sitting on. Talking to him will grant you a Power Moon.

Power Moon 12 & 13 – Dinoraus Nest: Big Cleanup! & Running Wild!

Head to the area marked on the map and use the hidden door to enter a new area. In this area you can obtain 2 Power Moons.

Use your cap on the T-Rex and run around the area killing all of the small enemies there. This will grant you the first Power Moon. In order to obtaing the second one, drop with your T-Rex from the ledge in the area at the back of map and destroy a rock there to uncover a Power Moon.

Power Moon 14 & 15 – Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp! & Very Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp!

Head to the area marked on the map and enter the green tube there. This will transport you to a new area.

Once in the new area you will have to use your cap on the Chain Chomps. You will have to cause a chain reaction between them in order for the last Chomps to hit the target in the middle. Repeat the procedure in 3 areas to unlock the Power Moon. After collecting the Power Moon, instead of entering the tube keep going right into a hidden area with a 4th Chain Chomp shooting riddle. After finishing the 4th area you will be granted a 2nd Power Moon.

Power Moon 16 & 17 – Past the Chasm Lifts & Hidden Chasm Passage

There’s another hidden area next to the stone bridge. Enter the area and you will able to obtain 2 more Power Moons there.

For the first once simply finish the 2D area following the path until the end.

For the second one drop from the ledge after the elevating platforms and finish the second 2D area there. You will have to use the Koopa shell in order to break the block in your way.

Power Moon 20 – Rolling Rock by the Falls

For this one use your cap on the T-Rex, head to the area marked on the map above and simply destroy the stone there while controlling the T-Rex to reveal the Power Moon. Or simply pick up the rock and throw it a few times.
