Go to Masada III
When you are ready for the final confrontation with the Starborn, you can start making your way to Masada III. Take note that this is a high-level system and you need to jump through a number of high-level ones along the way, so be quick with your grav jumps if you’ve not explored this area before. Also as soon as you enter the space around Masada III you will enter into a ship fight against whoever you didn’t side with in Unearthed, so make sure your ship is prepared and you have some Ship Parts stored already.
Hail the Scorpius/Helix
Once you arrive in the system, you’ll automatically hail the waiting ship. You have a short conversation with the Starborn, but it doesn’t matter what you say here as you can’t talk the Starborn out of the fight.
Defeat the Starborn ships
You’ll now need to fight the Starborn ships. If you sided with either of the Hunter or Emissary they’ll enter the area shortly to help out, but right at the start you’re on your own against the enemy ships. There will be a total of 3 ships during this regardless of who you side with, either the Hunter or Emissary ship plus two weaker ships, or the Hunter and Emissary along with a single weaker ship. Try to immediately focus on the weaker ships to get rid of them so that they aren’t shooting you along with the more heavily armored ship. Once you get the Helix or Scorpius to about half health they’ll warp away, ending the fight.
Land at the Buried Temple
Once the Starborn ships are dealt with, you can open the map and land at the Buried Temple location.
Find the Artifact
You’ll now be making your way through the area to reach the actual Buried Temple. This whole section is more or less an enemy gauntlet leading to the end of the story, so get your best weapons out and ready if you’re committing to finishing the story here.
Defeat the Starborn
Follow the path until you reach your first encounter with Starborn. The ones you fight here are effectively minibosses as they’re stronger than the normal “unnamed” ones and have somewhat of a gimmick to them. Like the Hunter, this one spawns a bunch of clones that will appear and disappear while fighting you, making them annoying to keep track of. Defeat them all in this area to progress. If you need extra healing there are First Aid kits all over the area which should have at least one healing item in them each.
Once the first Starborn is dealt with, continue following the path leading into the tunnel.
Defeat the Ecliptic Soldiers/Starborn
Once you reach the next open area you’ll be attacked by another Starborn. This one summons a number of Ecliptic enemies to attack you as well. The Ecliptic are all lower level so they’re more of a nuisance than a threat. You’ll need to deal with a couple of waves of them, then the Starborn will appear and attack you directly.
Find a way to open the door
Once the Starborn is defeated all the rest of the enemies will disappear. To progress you need to pick up the Ecliptic Base ID Card that is dropped at their location when they die, which allows you to open the marked door and progress further into the base.
Enter the Anomaly
Keep following the linear path inside, and eventually, you’ll encounter a large Anomaly in your way. Walk into it.
Leave the Anomaly
This first Anomaly is a flashback to the start of the game, follow the same path you did originally to exit it.
Defeat the Starborn
In the next room you’ll have a fight with another set of Starborn, this time they also have a bunch of automated security on their side, making this more annoying than the prior fights.
(Optional) Disable the defenses
It is possible to disable the automated security if you have high enough hacking skill. To do this, head up to the top level of the catwalk (directly across from where you entered the area) and there is a booth with a Master level locked door on the right side. If you are able to hack Master level locks you can open this door, then interact with the computer inside to disable or even turn the defenses to your side.
Find a way to open the door
Once the Starborn are defeated, you will again need to pick up a keycard dropped by one of them when they died, which will allow you to proceed through the next doorway. You can also enter the locked room with this key if you haven’t already hacked your way in, which is useful to stop the security chasing you if you want to loot this room.
Enter the Anomaly
Continue along the path until you encounter another large Anomaly in your way, enter it to continue.
Find a way out of the Anomaly
This Anomaly is you in Petrov’s ship from before. Head up and speak with him and respond however you want. Him and the rest of the crew will attack you, and you’ll need to defeat them to continue.
Leave the Anomaly
When Petrov is defeated, you specifically need to interact with him and pick up the Private Quarters Key. This opens the door behind his chair, allowing you to reach the exit Anomaly.
After exiting, continue along the path ahead and interact with the switch to take the elevator down to a new area.
Leave the Anomaly
On the elevator ride down, you’ll automatically be thrown into another Anomaly which shows an alternate version of what occurred on the Eye. You can interact with Vladimir if you like, or just turn around immediately and leave. When you reach the bottom of the elevator there is a huge cache of weapons, ammo, and consumables, so make sure to stock up if needed.
Defeat the Starborn
In the next area, you will have one final fight against the miniboss Starborn. The gimmick here is that they summon a number of duplicate enemies that mimic your and your companion’s currently equipped items. This means though that all the duplicates are generally weaker than the Starborn enemy due to not having the multiple health bar segments, so you should be able to make quick work of them.
Once the final enemy is defeated, head forward towards the temple and enter. When you do, you will have the opportunity to either fight the Hunter/Emissary or talk them down. Talking to them is a basic Persuasion check, so this is in fact the very easy way out here, especially if you have a banked auto Persuasion as this will still work against them.
Defeat the Emissary/Hunter
If you do decide to fight them, they function as the final boss and are fought in this room, along with other locations they’ll warp you to during the fight. They’re only 5 levels higher than the Starborn enemies you fought on the way in, so they’re not overly tough in comparison. The main difference between them and the prior Starborn is that they have access to a bunch of the temple abilities and will start firing them off in this room, which means if you are fighting both of them together it gets to be a bit of a mess of explosions and effects.
Take the Emissary’s/Hunter’s Artifacts
After your enemy is defeated with weapons or words, you’ll either need to loot the Artifacts from them or will automatically receive all of the Artifacts they have. If you sided with one or the other of them, you’ll also have a short talk with them here.
Take the Artifact
When you’re ready, interact with the Artifact in the center of the room to pick it up and complete the mission.
This finishes Revelation in Starfield.
