Introduction

Welcome to the Spider-Man: Miles Morales Trophy Guide! This is a super quick standalone Expansion to the 2018 Spider-Man game with a short 3 hour story. The trophy list is super simple. Beat the story, then clean up all activities for 100% completion (which are all marked on the map automatically, except for Postcards). Some Collectibles only unlock later into the game and Postcards only after the story. Lastly, finish the game a 2nd time in New Game+ because there’s a bronze trophy for it and also the last skills come from New Game+. Nothing is missable. Everything can be done on easy difficulty.

Step 1: Finish Story (Any Difficulty)

Start by finishing the Story. You can’t get 100% Completion until after the story. Collectible Types become available gradually throughout the story. It doesn’t matter if you start working on them right away or do them after the story. Postcards are also needed for 100% and only become available after the Story by going back to Miles’ Home to accept a side mission there.

It doesn’t matter on what difficulty you play and nothing is missable. If you’re already working on side activities, remember that each Hideout & Roxxon Lab (marked red on map) also contains one Cache which is needed for 100% completion. Grab those caches the first time you do the Hideout/Lab so you don’t need to replay them a 2nd time. No worries if you forget one, they can be replayed.

Step 2: 100% Completion

After the story you will have access to all Collectible Types and can get the 100% Completion trophy done. You will unlock the various collectible-related silver trophies along the way automatically.

Everything is marked on the map automatically. On the world map it shows you a checklist how much you have done in each district and what activities remain. As you go through the Hideouts & Roxxon Labs, remember that each of them contains one Cache and collect it. If you forget this you can simply replay the Hideout/Lab and enter it again after completion.

The only things that are slightly tricky are the Sound Samples and Postcards. See the guides below for their locations:

Step 3: New Game+ & Unlock Remaining Skills

For the trophy :bronze: Plus Plus you must beat the game in New Game Plus. Also for all Skills :gold: Just the Beginning because some are locked behind New Game Plus. If you play on easy and skip cutscenes you can finish the game in 3 hours (only half the cutscenes are skippable). Sometimes to get the next Main Mission to spawn you must complete some other activities first. It’s best to do the Crimes because they are very quick.

After finishing the story for the first time, return to the Main Menu, select a free Save Slot, press :square: to start a New Game+. Everything you have unlocked on the first playthrough will carry over.

Be Yourself
Collect all Trophies
Earn all other trophies in Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales to unlock Platinum.
Just the Beginning
Unlock all Skills
For this you must unlock all 33 skills in the skills menu. 24 of them are from skill points which you get from leveling up.

The last skill in each of the 3 skill trees is only available in New Game Plus! In New Game Plus the level limit is raised from level 20 to level 30. At level 23 you will be able to buy the last skill.

Additionally, you must also unlock the 9 skills at the bottom of the skills menu. These are from doing the 9 Spider-Training Challenges that are spread across Manhattan (3 Traversal, 3 Combat, 3 Stealth). Just complete each of them once with any result to get the skills.
A New Home
100% complete all districts
Complete all activities on the map. On the map it shows you a checklist of the required activities in each district.

This can only be done after finishing the story! The reason for that is that the 8 Postcards are only unlocked then. If during the story a district says 100% that doesn’t actually mean you have everything there, because more things become available after the story. Just focus on the story first and do the 100% completion afterward.

Collect all Time Capsules
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 16 Time Capsules. They become available early in the story and are all marked on the map.
Memory Lane
Collect all Postcards
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 8 Postcards. They only become available after finishing the story. When you’re done with the story, go to Miles’ Home to start a Side Mission that wants you to find the 8 Post Cards. This is a little Collectible Hunt where the search area of the next Postcard is always marked on the map. The text hint on the Postcard describes the exact location.

Salvager
Open all Underground Caches
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 35 Underground Caches. These contain parts for new Suits, Modifications and Upgrades. They become available early in the story and will all get marked on the map.

When getting close to a Cache there will be a blue search area. Press :r3: to bring up the distance sensor, this makes it easier to find it.

6 Underground Caches are only found in 3 Roxxon Labs & 3 Underground Hideouts. Before their fight encounters there will be an alternate path that leads to the Underground Cache. If you miss those you can replay the Roxxon Labs again. After opening a Cache you can leave the mission immediately and it’s still saved.
Under Their Noses
Shut down all Roxxon Labs
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 3 Roxxon Labs. They become available over the course of the story and they are all marked on the map. Beat each of them once. Be sure to pick up the Underground Caches first before completing the Roxxon Lab (if you forget this you can still replay the lab).
Underground Undone
Shut down all Underground Hideouts
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 3 Underground Hideouts. They become available over the course of the story and they are all marked on the map. Beat each of them once. Be sure to pick up the Underground Caches first before completing the Underground Hideout (if you forget this you can still replay the Hideout).
Ready for Anything
Purchase all suits
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

There are 19 Suits in Spider-Man Miles Morales. Some are tied to Side Quests (which you must do for the 100% Completion trophy anyway), and the rest you can craft with activitiy tokens and materials that you get from doing all other tasks for 100% Completion.

The last Suit comes from starting New Game Plus.
Come at the King
Unravel a criminal conspiracy in Harlem
Automatic while going for :gold: A New Home (100% Completion).

First you must do all Side Quests in Harlem. Then a new quest “We’ve Got a Lead!” becomes available in Harlem which unlocks this trophy upon completion. The Side Quests unlock automatically over the course of the story and get marked on the map. You also get the Winter Suit from doing these.
Never Saw It Coming
Complete an Enemy Base without being detected
You need to finish one of the 3 Roxxon Labs or one of the 3 Underground Hideouts without being seen. The Roxxon Labs are a bit easier for this. It’s okay if enemies have a yellow question mark but they can’t show the red exclamation mark. You can simply reload the last save if you’re detected. No need to replay the whole thing.

It helps to play on easy difficulty for this (the selected difficulty affects stealth too). You can crawl on walls to stay unseen and do stealth takedowns. Also make use of the Camouflage :up: because it renders you invisible. Activate Camouflage > Take Down one Enemy > let Camouflage recharge > repeat.

You can replay the Roxxon Labs / Underground hideouts as often as you want so this isn’t missable. Just stand at the marker of a Roxxon Lab / Underground Hideout to trigger the replay.
100x Combo!!!
Perform a 100x Combo
Your combo count needs to reach 100 during a single combat encounter. The combo counter is shown in the top left corner and goes up with each hit you land on an enemy. The counter is reset to 0 if you take damage or too much time passes between hits.

You should put the difficulty on easy for this. On easy your combo counter no longer gets reset when being hit by enemies. Then it’s extremely simple and you just need to watch out that not too much time passes between hits.

A good place to do this is in Roxxon Labs and Underground Hideouts (can be replayed by standing at their map marker). They have many enemies close together.

I did this in “Roxxon Lab – West” in Hell’s Kitchen. If you lose your combo you can simply restart checkpoint to try again. Some of the higher level enemies may try to block your attacks. The easiest method is to hold :square: to launch them into the air, then juggle them in midair. When the enemy is defeated, hold :triangle: in midair to pull the next enemy towards you. Just keep repeating this. On enemies with shields you can either hold :triangle: to disarm them or do a :triangle: + :circle: finisher. Because shielded enemies block all your hits they’re not of much use for combo building and it’s better to defeat them to not be disrupted. Other than that don’t use any finishers, just do normal hits to build up the combo more.

Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Traversal Challenge
There are 3 Spider-Training Traversal Challenges. “Spectacular” is the 2nd highest grade you can get. This is easiest in the first Challenge 1.0.
Punching Pixels
Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Combat Challenge
There are 3 Spider-Training Combat Challenges. “Spectacular” is the 2nd highest grade you can get. This is easiest in the first Challenge 1.0.
Dodging Light
Get Spectacular or better in a Spider-Training Stealth Challenge
There are 3 Spider-Training Stealth Challenges. “Spectacular” is the 2nd highest grade you can get. This is easiest in the first Challenge 1.0.
Spider-Training: Complete
Complete every Spider-Training Challenge once
Complete all 9 Spider-Training Challenges with any result. They are split into 3 types: 3x Traversal, 3x Comat, 3x Stealth. It doesn’t matter what grade you get at the end. They all get marked automatically on the map at the start of the story.
Pete’s First Villain
Complete the Final Test
First you must beat all 9 Spider-Training Challenges once with any result/grade. See trophy :bronze: Spider-Training: Complete. This unlocks a new Side Mission called “Final Test” in Greenwich. Do it and you’ll earn this trophy along with the “2020 Miles Morales” Suit.
Kitbash
Craft 10 Upgrades
There are 16 Upgrades between New Game & New Game Plus. You can “craft” them in the gadgets menu using tokens and materials you get from doing everything needed for 100% Completion. For this trophy only 10 of 16 Upgrades are needed so you can skip the ones from New Game Plus.
Rhino Rodeo
Ride Rhino through the mall
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.
Deep Cuts
Collect all Sound Samples and recreate the Davis Brothers Mix
There are 10 Sound Samples. They become available quite late into the story. Then they all get marked on the map automatically. When you reach the search area you must find the correct Sound Sample among different Sounds. This requires you to stand at the right distance from the Sound Sample. The trophy may already unlock after the 9th Audio Sample. See the guide below for all their locations & solutions.

From the Rafters
Perform 25 Ceiling Takedowns
Crawl on a ceiling above an enemy and press :square: to perform a takedown on them. This counts as a “Ceiling Takedown”. Repeat 25 times. This can easily be farmed in the Roxxon Labs.
Climbing the Walls
Perform 25 Wall Takedowns
Crawl on a wall close to an enemy and press :square: to perform a takedown on them. This counts as a “Wall Takedown”. Repeat 25 times. This can easily be farmed in the Roxxon Labs.
Invisible Spider
Defeat 50 enemies while Camouflaged
The Camouflage is unlocked during the first few story missions. Then you can turn Camouflage on/off by pressing :up: . The Camouflage can only be on for short periods of time, as displayed by the indicator in the top right corner.

Defeat 50 enemies while Camouflage is turned on. These don’t need to be Stealth Takedowns. Doing combat takedowns is fine too.
Overcharge
Defeat 100 enemies with Venom attacks
Venom attacks are unlocked over the course of the story. They require a full Venom bar which is displayed in the top left corner of the screen.

They each have a different button combo once they are unlocked: :l1: + :square: / :l1: + :square: + :x: / :l1: + :triangle: / :l1: + :x: / :l1: + :triangle: + :x: / :l1: + :circle: + :triangle:

Just use these to defeat 100 enemies total.

You can also set a shortcut for two Venom Attacks in the Settings (Options-Button > Settings > Shortcut 1 / Shortcut 2). Then they can be activated with :left: / :right: which makes them a bit easier to use.
Up and Over
Perform a Venom Jump, then a Venom Dash on a single enemy
Venom Jump and Venom Dash are unlocked over the course of the story automatically.

When you got both skills, use Venom Jump :l1: + :x: and then while you’re in the air Venom Dash :l1: + :triangle: .
From Downtown
Use Venom Dash to throw an enemy into a group of three or more
Venom Dash is unlocked over the course of the story automatically.

Throw an enemy into a group of enemies using Venom Dash :l1: + :triangle: . This is best done in Roxxon Labs or Underground Hideouts because they have many enemies close together.
Like a Rhino In A China Shop
Smash into 15 breakable objects while steering Rhino through the shopping mall

During the first story mission you will ride on Rhino in a shopping mall (automatic story part). Steer Rhino into any 15 breakable objects to get this. Small things like windows and tables count too.
Competitive Spirit
Beat Phin at the rocket launch mini-game

During one of the last story missions “Like Real Scientists”, there will be a flashback with Miles and Phin at Oscorp Science Center when they were Teenagers. In the 2nd exhibition hall (after aquarium) on the left side you can start the rocket launch mini-game. You need to hit :square: faster than Phin to win. You can retry it as many times as you want.
Best Fries in Town
Pay your respects to a legend in the Upper West Side

In the district of Upper West Side there’s a Stan Lee statue you can interact with (press :triangle: ). You can scan for it by pressing :r3: when nearby. Go to the location shown in the video. This is a reference to Stan Lee (easter egg). In the 2018 Spider-Man he had a restaurant called Mick’s Diner where Peter and MJ were regular guests. This pays tribute to Stan Lee.

Apply a sticker and customize lighting while in Photo Mode
Press Options-Button :opt: > select “Photo Mode” > press :square: to go through the lighting and sticker menus. Change one of each to get the trophy.
Trapped
Defeat 50 enemies with Remote Mine gadget
The Remote Mine gadget can be bought from the gadgets menu. Once you have it hold :r1: to open the item wheel and select it. Then aim at an enemy with :l2: and shoot the mine with :r1: . Repeat this 50 times.
Five Star Review
Complete all FNSM app requests
There are 10 FNSM app requests. They become available gradually over the course of the story (all will be available by the time you finish the story). These are small missions that reward you with activity tokens. To start them wipe left on the Touchpad :touchpad: to view them. On the world map it also gives you a checklist how many app requests you completed per district.

In the Suits Menu and select a Mod Slot on a Suit. Craft any Mod here.
Look with Better Eyes
Craft a Visor Mod

Never Give Up
Pay respects at Jefferson Davis’ grave in Harlem

This trophy requires you to find and interact with Miles’ father’s grave. It’s located on the cemetery in the northernmost point of the map (Harlem district). You can scan for it with :r3: to see a yellow outline around the grave in question. It’s close to the north-west corner of the cemetery. You must interact with it by pressing :triangle: (the button prompt will come up when standing at the grave).

Note: In some cases pressing :triangle: doesn’t trigger the sequence where Miles pays his respects. If this happens to you, exit the cemetery and come back. You can do it from the start of the story (no story progress needed).
A Gift From Pete
Receive the Gift Suit
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks when you get the gift suit from Peter Parker.
Crime Master
Complete all Bonus Objectives for every crime type
There are 11 Crimes, each with 2 Bonus Objectives. The Crimes unlock gradually over the course of the story. You can swipe left on the touchpad and press :r1: to open the Crimes tab. Then you can select a crime to track its location, or replay crimes you’ve already done. For this trophy you must finish all 11 Crimes and also complete each of their 2 Bonus Objectives. During the crime you can press :r3: to show the Bonus Objective in the top left corner. You can still replay these any time. You don’t need to complete all Bonus Objectives in a single run. It’s okay to complete one, finish the Crime, then replay it to do the other Objectives.
Nowhere to Hide
Perform 100 Stealth Takedowns
A Stealth Takedown is when you do a Takedown without being seen. Check the indicator on the enemies – if they show “safe” you can go ahead. If they show “danger” it will alert other enemies and not count as a Stealth Takedown. Press :r3: to scan and see whether an enemy is in the “safe” takedown zone.
I’m On A Boat
Ride the derelict boat in southern Chinatown

There’s a fishing boat at the southernmost docks of Chinatown district. It also has a Time Capsule collectible on it, so you’ll have to visit it for 100% Completion automatically. Simply jump to this boat and the trophy will unlock.
Socially Acceptable
Scroll through the entire Social Feed at the end of the story
After finishing the story when you regain control and can walk around again, open the Social Feed Menu and scroll all the way to the bottom.
Plus Plus
Complete the game on New Game+
After finishing the story for the first time, return to the Main Menu, select a free Save Slot, press :square: to start a New Game+. Everything you have unlocked on the first playthrough will carry over.

Simply beat the story a 2nd time. To speed things up, play on easy and skip all skippable cutscenes (half of them cannot be skipped). Sometimes to get the next Main Mission to spawn you must complete some other activities first. It’s best to do the Crimes because they are very quick. You can expect New Game Plus to take 3 hours. The game is very short.

    I have a question if I want to get the platinum on both ps4 and ps5 can I do it this way I play first on ps4 and I finish the game and I get all the trophies except Just the Beginning and Plus Plus and then I transfer my save to the ps5 and start a New Game+ and I get all the trophies and before I get the trophies Just the Beginning and Plus Plus I transfer it back to the ps4 version and I get those 2 trophies with the platinum and then I continue on ps5 and and I get them with the platinum.
    Will it work this way?

    • I didn’t know that before I spent AU$110 on the Ultimate Edition earlier today, and I’m a bit annoyed about that. Still, I’m enjoying it on PS5 and I’ll get to play a remastered version of the PS4 Spider Man too!

    • 3h is strictly story if you don’t do any side stuff in between, except crimes to advance the story. Then yeah. Maybe 3-4h on first run (not counting side content). 3h on NG+ on easy.

    • Will still play it to get the trophy. Hopefully trade-in value will be really good for a while with the lockdown in the UK so will try get cyberpunk after …. If that game ever comes out! As always thanks Powerpyx for all the hard work.

    • I’ve been playing for around 9 hours and I’m just about done with my first playthrough. Honestly, it’s just slightly shorter than the first game and is $20 less than the new standard.

      This really seems to be a case of people hopping on a bandwagon. The game really feels like it’s own thing. Especially in terms of story. I’ve truly enjoyed it even though I was hesitant;.

      I think waiting for a price drop is the best option if you’re not completely sure. But, go in with an open mind when you do and have a fun time.

    • No its not the old game with 3 hours extra. It took me 11 hours to beat it the first time. Its 3 hours if you just do the main missions, use fast travel and skip cutscenes, which makes you lose out on a whole lot. Outside of that, the game itself has improved alot from the first game and feels like a full experience that is different

  5. Has anyone worked out how to actually take the photo?

    I open photo mode… tinker around with it… but then there is no option to actually take the photo to get the trophy. Weird as

    • I think we’re supposed to use the built-in PS4/PS5 capture using the share button. I couldn’t find a way to “save” the image from in-game menu either (but that is not needed for the trophy anyway).

    • You don’t need to actually take the photo for the trophy. I completed this today and then posted it on my YouTube. Once you’ve added stickers and changed the lighting the trophy should pop up.

  7. Seeing some people talk about PS4 and PS5 having different trophies? Can you confirm this? I don’t wanna buy for PS4 knowing that the PS5 trophies will be different or something.

    • They are different stacks. Like all other PS4 > PS5 games (just how it was it from PS3 > PS4). You start over with 0 trophies on PS5 version. Same for all other PS5 Games, they don’t share the same trophy list.

  8. Hi PowerPyx, great guide as always! I just wanted to check woth you that none of the crates are missable? I just completed a Roxxon hideout and didn’t get the crate at the start and figure I would get it on replay but on replay there is no path to the crate. Do you have any advice for this? It’s the one where you lift the roller door to go in through the garage. Cheers!

  9. I didnt get the cache for the Greenwich hideout and can’t get back into the room the cache is in when replaying the mission. Am I dumb or is this happening for anyone eles?

  10. Not all Underground Caches are marked for me. I see the ones in the Roxxon labs. Two districts are marked as incomplete by one but show nothing on the map. I’m pretty early in the story. Do some show up later?

    • Advance the story. Some Underground Cache’s are in Hideouts and Roxon Labs, so don’t show on the map until they’ve been unlocked during the story.

    • Only half of them are skippable, half aren’t (as written in the trophy explanation for Plus Plus). You pause the game during cutscene and select “skip” which is the 2nd option from the bottom.

    • I’m also having trouble with Up and Over. What’s the trick? The description in this tutorial is missing something, hitting an enemy with L1+X and then L1+triangle does not unlock this trophy.

    • It has to be bugged for you then.
      That’s all there is to this trophy. L1+X, then L1+Triangle. I just retested and trophy popped again first try, pressing just these buttons and nothing else.
      Are you sure you have the required moves unlocked? After the story you will have them for sure. And you have 2 of the yellow bars charged under your health bar right? Otherwise you can’t string together these moves, each requires a yellow bar to use.

  17. Like a Rhino In A China Shop is missable no? We missed it. My son was playing and he dodged everything and we didn’t get it. I’ll have to get it on my New Game +. Unless I can replay that part, haven’t tried.

    • You can replay all missions via the Mission Menu, so no not missable. Maybe “semi-missable” within that mission, but replayable at any time. Also the first mission of the game so you can instantly get back to it by starting a new game in a new slot.

  18. I did some of these things and did not receive some trophies. I got the highest score on all spider training, only got one trophy. Did get the deep cuts trophy. A few others. Did I do something wrong?

    • If you have done every one of them with the highest score you should get four trophies. One for traversal, one for combat, one for stealth and one for complete all nine.

  19. Hey there

    Got a glitch to report.
    The trophy “Just the Beginning” for unlocking all skills popped for me as per normal after unlocking all skills. I got the PS screenshot and automatic video showing it. However, the trophy list kept the trophy locked. The workaround was reloading a backup save that the game made, re-unlocking the skills. This didn’t make the trophy pop a second time, but made it appear unlocked in the list. The timestamp on the unlock was also the original time, when the trophy first popped.

    Others have had this issue with different trophies over on PSN Profiles

  23. Man, a great game. Sure it is short, but still pretty dense. I loved the music, the suits, and the dialogue. The ending really got to me. And the beat searches,? Man…. It would have been nice if it was $40, but I am still satisfied, and will probably play this every Christmas.

    • I will say that I wish there was counters like they are in Uncharted, but I guess that’s what the PS5 is for. Oh well.

  28. Once you’ve finished the story to start a New Game+ you have to select your current save and hold square. You don’t select a free save slot.

  29. I have a question about trophies/NG+. So I did NG+ and thought that all my progress would transfer over but Ive gotten far enough in the story for the side missions and collectibles to start populating the map and all of them are there as if I hadnt completed a good chunk of them on my first save. Does all that stuff need to be completed in one game before I do NG+?

  30. I unlocked all the suits and skills I could in my first play through, then started NG+ and it seem to have to redo all the spider training to re-unlock the related skills and suit for completing it? I have everything across the 2 save files but I thought all suits and skills would carry over

  32. Great guide but can I add that the easiest way to get the 100 combo trophy is in the boss fight with Rhino towards the end. I just ignored him and kept on beating the enemies that spawned. None had shield so you can launch the em and combo in the air for about 5 minutes to easily earn this trophy.

  33. Does anyone know if you can use your PS5 save and load up the PS4 version of the game and get a free platinum with auto-pop and not vice versa? Saw that you can do this on OG Spider-Man with Remastered but PS4 to PS5 then.

  34. HI, i think i found some missable trophies. I beat an underground base, opened up the wall bit to get to the generator and shut it down, but did NOT open the cache in there, and left. Going back to the area, there’s no prompt to re-open the wall and hence get access to the cache, replaying the activity just allows me to beat the enemies and ends there. So unless i’m missing something, i’m locked out from getting the opening all caches and getting 100% map completion trophies, meaning i have to re-do the whole map again on NG+. Please correct me if i’m wrong (which i hope i am!)

  37. I found a relatively easy way to get the 100 hit combo. It involves the Assault crime, which has two brutes in amongst the group of enemies. Whittle the group down to the one remaining brute. All you do then is press square to punch the brute, which he blocks, then press circle to slide under the brute. Each time you slide underneath him, it counts as a hit in the combo. Just repeat the punch/slide button combo until you reach 100 hits. This can be done, seemingly (I’ve tested on Friendly and Amazing difficulties) on any difficulty level, but probably best to do it on the very easiest in case you happen to get hit by the brute to keep the combo going.

  40. Do suits transfer over to New Game+? I grinded out all of the suits in my original playthrough but now see them locked in New Game+. Am I going to have to grind out all the suits again?

  42. Trapped Trophy didn’t pop for me until I got 57-58 kills with the remote mine, not sure if this happened to anyone else?

  46. This game is bugged. There is a postcard that can bug leading to you having all 8 but being stuck at 99%. The one from the club. This is how my game is and will forever be. 100% trophy and postcard trophy unobtainable.
