One thing that may have been driving you mad in Sniper Elite 4 is that there’s seemingly no shoulder switch option. There is, it’s just somewhat hidden and the game never explains how to do it.
How to switch shoulder in Sniper Elite 4:
You can switch shoulder in the weapon wheel. The button prompt is shown at the bottom of the weapon wheel called “Camera Swap”.
- On PS4 press L1 to open weapon wheel and Triangle to switch shoulder
- On Xbox One press LB to open weapon wheel and Y to switch shoulder
And that’s how you do it 🙂
Unfortunately, there is no quicker way to do it. You always have to open the weapon wheel. It does, however, make it much easier to aim around corners without getting hit. Took me a long time until I stumbled across this option by accident.
I looked at your idea and set my mouse wheel to switch camera modes.
It makes the shoulder switch very quick.

There is another way to switch shouler; when you slighly press the aim button (you still see your caracter) press R3 button
