Silent Hill 2 Remake All Glimpses of the Past Locations

Silent Hill 2 Remake contains 26 Glimpses of the Past. Finding all of their locations unlocks the Echoes trophy & achievement. They are exclusive to the 2024 PS5/PC Remake of Silent Hill 2 and were not in previous versions of the game.

All Collectibles must be found in a single playthrough. Everything is missable! After leaving an area you can’t go back. There’s no Chapter Select and no Free-Roam after the story. Collectibles don’t carry over into New Game Plus either. The game has 10 manual save slots, make use of this by saving in different slots regularly. If you missed anything you can reload a previous save to replay from there.

The Glimpses of the Past can’t be tracked anywhere, unlike other collectibles they don’t appear in the inventory. They are walls and other objects you can interact with that give small flashbacks to the original game version. A sound and screen distortion effect will play when interacting with them.

South Vale (East)

Glimpse of the Past #1
After leaving Silent Hill Ranch through the locked door, directly straight ahead in front of you interact with the barricaded tunnel (before going through the next fenced gate).

 

Glimpse of the Past #2
After a cutscene where you see an enemy in the fog, you will reach Vachss Rd. Here interact with the ‘Do not enter sign’ on the barbed fence to trigger the glimpse.

 

Glimpse of the Past #3
After you have defeated the first enemy, exit the building by breaking through the window. Go through the garden gate then turn right again. Examine the blood on the floor.

 

Glimpse of the Past #4
To the right of the door to Wood Side Apartments you can interact with the blue dumpster.

 

Glimpse of the Past #5
At the end of Katz St., approach the white barricade and interact with the gap. The next Glimpse will be there.

 

Wood Side Apartments

Glimpse of the Past #6
Enter Apartment 213 (requires 2F Hallway Key) and interact with the scratched-up wall in the bedroom.

 

Blue Creek Apartments

Glimpse of the Past #7
As soon as you jump down the hole into Apartment 110, there will be a broken TV stand in front of you as you leave the room.

 

Glimpse of the Past #8
Place the second hand on the clock on the number 3 to make the time 9:10:15, which will unlock the door with the S on floor 1F. Enter the stairwell again and there will be a corpse you can examine for this glimpse.

 

South Vale (West)

Glimpse of the Past #9 + Trophy: Leftovers
Enter Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama. Interact with the pizza that can be found on a bench in the back left.

 

Glimpse of the Past #10
Directly south of Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama, there are some stairs leading up to a barred gate, just before the barricade. Examine the gate for another glimpse.

 

Brookhaven Hospital

Inside the second floor Laundry Room, interact with the blue fabric in a bin.

 

Glimpse of the Past #12
Interact with the bed in Room M1, at the end of the hallway.

 

Glimpse of the Past #13
In Medical Records room, interact with the typewriter.

Once on the Rooftop, walk onto the catwalk opposite the next door and follow it to find this glimpse. Highly Missable! Make sure to grab this before you enter the room via the Rooftop.

After a cutscene, enter Room I3 to find a blood-stained wall behind the door.

As soon as you drop into the canteen of the prison, head to the right to spot this on a dining table.

Inside Cell A3, examine the shrine on the wall.

In the Showers, turn right and go along the wall. There will be a broken section halfway along with a tablet on a cloth, examine it.

Southwest of the Break Room, examine the object on the ground.

 

Labyrinth

From the Suspended Cage room, take the western path and to your immediate right will be a breakable wall. Smash it and go through to find a broken noose you can examine.

When heading north from the Apple you will see a small fountain. There is some sort of antique camera in the fountain.
