Requirement: having progressed “A Mother’s Love” until you’re able to enter Stonewood Manor
Trophy: The Tale of the Empty House trophy / achievement
Case Info: Soon after we left Cordona, some of our manor’s furniture was sold at public auctions. It seems unlikely, but perhaps we can locate what was lost among the wares of local traders.
Objectives:
- Buy back all auctioned Pieces
Starting Location: The Tale of the Empty House
The Tale of the Empty House Case starts inside Stonewood Manor, by interacting with the note on the ground floor. You do have to interact with it as part of the main story, so there’s no way to miss it and you may already have it in your casebook.
Buy back all auctioned Pieces
When the Holmes Family moved away from Cordona, several pieces of their interior have been auctioned off. Sherlock now wants to try to get some of them back from local traders.
To conclude this case and obtain the trophy of the same name, you need to buy all 22 pieces of furniture from different shops on the map. These items unlock gradually over the course of the story, they’re not all available from the start! So come check back regularly after every main case. The traders exist multiple times and sell the same inventory.
Buying all objects costs a grand total of 645 Currency. Don’t spend unnecessary money on clothing, as the items in question will cost quite a bit and require finishing most cases and Bandit Lairs (you usually get 20 money per case). Also make sure you do non-lethal takedowns on enemies, these reward you with money, while lethal takedowns do not.

Caylen says
Do you have to finish the game to furnish cabinet of curiosities? That’s the room that no furniture is popping up for me to buy. I’ve done all the quest side quest included all the way up to the point of no return which I have not started on yet.
