Case Info: Verner Vogel invites me to the Kurt Manchios Mansion located on Turquoise Ln across from Crodona Abbey in Northern Grand Saray.

- Manchios Mansion
- Police Station
- Verner Vogel
- Santos Pinchetti
- Matista
- Kurt Manchios
- Conclusion
Starting Location: Sacrificial Lamb
Sacrificial Lamb Case starts automatically as part of Main Case “A Mother’s Love“. Once you’ve triggered it, head to Kurt Manchios mansion on Turquoise Ln in Northern Grand Saray:
To enter the mansion you need to put on the clothes provided by Vogel: “Prince of Darkness” & Face Mask”. You found those during “A Mother’s Love” on your way out of Stonewood Manor, which started this case. You can enter the mansion from the north via the main gate.
Manchio’s Mansion
Stepping inside the Mansion, you want to head to the room in the back left area to talk to Verner Vogel and find out about why he invited you.
While still in this area, Jon issues a challenge for the missable trophy Rumor Has It… . To fulfill the condition, we need to eavesdrop on two conversations of the rich and powerful.
First possibilty is in another small room on the left side of the foyer. The correct words are: Cheating groom, Offended duchess, Fired after incident, Political crisis.
The second pair can be found on the right side of the entryway, out in the foyer. The correct words are: Magic circle, Occultist architect, Mysterious disappearance. The trophy should unlock immediately after this.
With the key Verner gave us, we can now proceed through the large white door at the end of the foyer.
Inside, we’re greeted by a body on an altar. Interact with the six clues (sigil, dagger, chest-wound, head-wound, tattoo & fingers).
To the right of the corpse, you can interact with 3 props for the ritual. Also interact with the blood symbols on the wall behind the corpse.
To the left of the corpse, head into the red room (smoking lounge). At the small table, we can find four clues (cigars, whip, bottle & stain).
On the right of the smoking lounge, head through the white door into the dressing room, there are two clues at the sink to the left (pitcher, blood in drain). In this room there’s a missing robe (use concentration mode).
On the right desk, there are three clues you can check out (book, letter & tool-rack)
The left desk has another three clues to inspect (gift, key & mask)
Next to this desk, there is a cabinet which you can open. It contains some bloody clothes.
Pinning the clue “Smoking Lounge” to your screen, you can use concentration-mode on some blood tracks at the door between Altar-room and Lounge, as well as some more within Lounge itself.
Now, speak to Verner Vogel about what you’ve found out so far.
After this, we can enter the Imagination Sequence and recreate the scene, shown below. Altar Room = unknown man closing door, unknown man stabbing victim with knife / Lounge = unknown man smacking victim with wine bottle in head, unknown man dragging unconscious victim / Dressing Room = unknown man using the drain, unknown man putting bloody clothes in cabinet.
Concluding the scene, enter the Mind Place Menu and combine all clues so far. Then talk to Vogel again and ask him about the key (you can’t talk to him about the other evidence).
Now, we should talk to the host, who is the man standing by himself next to the fountain.
While talking to him, the police storm the mansion and we find ourselves at the Police Station.
Police Station
After regaining control in the cell, interact with the two letters, the evidence tickets and the keys. Combine the new clues via the Mind Palace menu.
Now, pay Police Officer Oswald in the Archives a visit and speak to him.
Next, head to the evidence room and present the ticket, so we can look through the belongings of the suspects.
Each drawer contains three pieces of evidence we can interact with.
Verner Vogel
Say Hi to Verner! He is at the end of the corridor, but doesn’t have much intel for us at the moment. Be sure to come back to him after talking to the other witnesses, as this will uncover more information.
Santos Pinchetti
The Butler of the Mansion is found in cell 7, left of Verner. Check the drawer on the desk to find keys and the will of Kurt.
Time to analyze Santos (has financial difficulties):
Speak with him about the evidence to hear his side of the story. Despite being related to the Mansions master, he barely gets paid anything.
Matista
Performer Matista can be found in cell 6.
Start talking to her and draw her character portrait (punishes herself for the past).
Now, present her all the evidence you can select.
Kurt Manchios
Time to speak to the host, Mr. Manchios, who is sitting in cell 5.
Speak with him and do the character portrait (hides his age):
As with the others, present all evidence to him to learn new details and deductions for your mind palace.
After this, combine all clues in the Mind Palace. Your casebook may have some objectives with a speech-icon left. If so, talk to all suspects again until they can’t be interacted with anymore and you will gain enough Mind Palace entries to form a conclusion.
Conclusion
To complete the case, we have to deem someone guilty. There is no certain correct option – every suspect denies their involvement. Sherlock will decide anyhow, to gain the file on his mother, while Oswald will get a promotion for solving this case.
Here are the different options for the three suspects:
Santos Pinchetti
Matista
Kurt Manchios
To achieve the missable trophy Vengeance of the Lamb, you must select the death penalty for the person you think is guilty. We picked Kurt when the trophy popped. The other two may also work but Kurt is who we tested and confirmed to work for the trophy so pick him to be safe (pick him via Mind Palace, then say to him “A sexual predator” > “It was premeditated murder”).
After forming the conclusion in the Mind Palace, approach the person and accuse them.
- Kurt: “A sexual predator”. Dialogue during accusation “It was premeditated murder”
- Santos: “It was cold revenge”. Dialogue during accusation “You deserve the gallows”
- Matista: “An occult murderer”. Dialogue during accusation “You are a monster”
To conclude the case, speak with the police officer Oswald in the archive room and tell him what you decided.
As a thanks, we will have the missing case file on our mother’s death for us to grab and continue with “A Mother’s Love“. You also get 120 Money.

Don’t know if it was glitched or something, but at first i went with Santos and it didn’t gave me the justice achievement. After reloading and selecting Kurt, it unlocked after talking to the police officer.

Added a note about choosing Kurt preferrably. 🙂

I picked someone else, didn’t pop, re-loaded and picked Kurt, popped. So I’m pretty sure it must be Kurt.

This case gives you the option to convict different suspects but the clues aren’t as ambiguous. These 2 facts make it clear to me Manchios is the real killer:
– The bloody outfit found in the bathroom was the robe all the guests and Manchios were wearing. Neither Matista nor Santos would have been wearing this in the lounge with Fabio. It would have been very strange to him if they were. Matista would have been wearing her ‘entertaining’ outfit for the evening
– Santos would not have known how to stage the ritual. Only Manchios and Matista would have had this knowledge.
For these 2 reasons I think it’s obvious that Manchios must have done it, probably on accident.
Jonlock Watsolmes says
Not is she was trying to set him up! She knew ritual, could have planted bloody robes

I remember that someone said that Matista was missing and wasn’t entertaining guests during Fabio murder. Don’t see the reason why she or Santos couldn’t wear guest’s outfit to pretend to be guest due murdering Fabio (to divert suspicion). In this case murder had to be planned in advance.
However, I don’t think that Matista is the killer. I don’t believe that she could drag and lift Fabio to the altar, as she looks pretty fragile. I believe that Santos may be the killer. He is very familiar with the house and its events. Theoretically he could learn the ritual from the books or other similar events. Moreover, he has a strange blood stain on his boots and doesn’t remember how he gained it, which is very suspicious. Also I found it suspicious that he didn’t tell anyone (even Kurt) about the incident and called the police right away. However, I couldn’t understand by his reaction on accusation, is he the real murderer or not, so I chose Kurt, as most of the players.

Not to mention the fact manchios allowed Vogel to invite Sherlock to look at scene perfect to make an excuse and leave if he needed, the entertainer did not
Foolio says
It was Pinchetti. He had a splash of blood on his shoe, there was a carpet. Can you imagine splashing blood from a carpet on your shoe? Also, he’d have to enter the ritual room, notice the body and approach it. There was no blood at the entrance. His motive also applies best to the case. Manchio is a rich party man who would find a new “sex slave” without a problem. Matista on the other hand wouldn’t kill his lover. I think Fabio gave the letter to Pinchetti to deliver it to Kurt, read it and saw a window of opportunity. Kurt read the letter, discovered the body and planted the letter on Vogel, because he was afraid he’d be the main suspect. The reaction of Pinchetti to the accusation also shows, that he was stressed and his nerves snapped after “growing a pair”.
Nic says
I actually picked Kurt because Santos would have no reason to impulsively hit Fabio with a bottle. Also Fabio’s letter mentions outbursts of whoever the letter was addressed to, so unless he and Santos were having a secret affair, it wouldn’t add up. Also Santos couldn’t afford to shower Fabio with expensive gifts.
