For the Birds is a Cordona Story in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the For the Birds side quest.
Starting Borough: Miner’s End
Starting Location: The Silver Mines Monument
Quest Giver: None, automatically starts when going to The Silver Mines Monument location for the first time
Requirement: None, simply find the quest start in the open world
Reward: 15 Money
Case Info: While we were walking down Silver Way in Miner’s End, a strange monument of an empty cage near the mines caught my attention. Jon suggested that we take a closer look.
Starting Location: For the Birds
For the Birds Cordona Story starts in Borough: Miner’s End, Place: The Silver Mines Monument.
Objective: The Silver Mines Monument
1) After going to the quest start, track it from your objectives and interact 
/ 
with the bird cage to the right of the mine tracks. It’s marked on the map as “The Silver Mines Monument”.
2) Inspect all 3 points of the bird cage – using 
/ 
concentration mode on the bird, viewing the text at the front of the cage, viewing the back of the cage where it’s broken.
3) After this make sure you pinned “The Silver Mines Monument” objective. From the casebook it has to be pinned with 
/ 
.
4) While this is pinned, talk to people around the area to get the next clue from them. They are workers so you should be wearing simple clothes to fit in with them. If you’re wearing a suit or uniform they will not talk to you. You can buy wardrobe items from Clothing Trades (gree icon on map) and equip them in the Wardrobe menu.
Here’s a sample of what you can wear (doesn’t have to be exactly this, anything simple will do, you can see your outfit influence on the right side of the wardrobe menu):
- Clothes: Worker’s Apron
- Hat: Men’s Fez
- Glasses: None
- Beard: Shenandoah Beard
- Makeup: None

After talking to a worker that likes your outfit, you will get the following hint:
5) Now track the new objective “The Story of the Silver Canary” that wants you to find the Flowers of Good location.

6) The Flowers of Good is a pub, located at the northern end of Lestrade Rd. in the northern half of Miner’s End. See location below.
7) Outside the Flowers of Good pub you must overhear 2 people. Hold / when standing a few meters away from them to start the clue gathering. If you get too close you can’t use the button prompt, in that case just walk away a few meters and return.
You must filter out the correct words by swiping up, the correct ones are: Poverty in Miner’s End, Lost his family, Stole the Canary, Thrown into the sea.
After this it will be revealed what happened to the canary. A man lost his family to an accident at the mines. He stole the canary and threw it into the sea, then he left the island.
