Retrieve the Champion’s Bow is a Side Mission in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the third part of the Hearts and Minds questline. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.

Quest Location – Retrieve the Champion’s Bow
Just before the last mission of the main story you will also have a chance to finish the 3rd part of the hearts and minds questline. Talk to Uchu in the Skull Cave in order to start it.
Objective – Enter the wilderness / Examinate the wilderness
As you have probably expected, your are also the person to retrieve the 3rd item needed for the coronation of Etzli, since the other person failed. Uchu tells you to head into the jungle just outside the town.
Head through the creepy tunnel and explore the jungle part. Head through the small opening in the rock to enter a new area, with a cave in the middle.
Objective – Find the Champion’s Bow / Defeat the Nahual / Approach the Nahual
Once you enter the cave, the bow will be there for you to grab… but you will be attacked by a huge masked jaguar. You will have to fight the jaguar, but do not worry, since it only takes a few arrows to get rid of it. Once you have defeated it, approach the dying jaguar in the cave.
Objective – Return the Champion’s Bow to Uchu
Once the Nahual is dead and the bow yours, return to Uchu to finish the mission. Uchu will also invite you to be a guest at Etzli’s coronation. Seems like a nice move, since you basically did all the work for the coronation to happen. Enjoy the cutscene and your Beast of a Legend trophy at the end.

Sorry but I cannot find the entrance in the forest area, also the beacon was missing, this must be a PS4 bug.

The Entrance is sealed, cannot get to the Nahual thus cannot get to bow or get trophies associate with it. The Beacon didn’t even appear on the PS4-they need to patch this now!

What does this mean? I am at San Juan, and Fast Traveled back to Paititi since I noticed I have 10/11 Side Quests, and this is the one I am missing, but I am unable to talk to Uchu.
Can anyone advise me please?

There will be a “point of no return”. The game will tell you when that happens. You’ll be in a cave next to the quest starting point when the game tells you the final mission is about to start.

I have finished the game but I cannot figure out how to kill the jaguar to be the champion bow. Right before I am killed it says to use B to evade. I using my right and left toggle stick and hit B before or during the attack but I keep dying. I am using Xbox One.

The 11th mission in the Hidden City is just before the point of no return. The main story line will guide you back to Paititi and after a cutscene you can either go talk to Etzli (triggering the last mission) or go talk to Uchu (triggering the side mission).
For the record I know this post is very late but hope it helps anyone who’s still giving this game a try.

Cheers. I’ve only just got this game for Christmas along with some other games too. Still very buggy even in Patch 2.05 on the PS4 while playing on The Definitive Edition version. I’ve never played this one first time around. So, right before the final story mission, what mission comes before that and if so, is it possible you could list the story missions in order per chapter (along with the DLC story missions in order per chapter), I’ll greatly appreciate that.
