Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: Yellow Gunpowder Locations

Upgrade Material: Yellow Gunpowder

Item Description: Amber colored grains forming the base for powerful gunpowder. A precious commodity only found in the Sunken Valley. Used for explosive Prosthetic Tool upgrades of intermediate and higher rank. The yield from yellow powder is greater than that of black, lending the valley stronghold defenses their fiery vigor.

Location:

• Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo: Temple Grounds – In the Senpou Temple area there is a boss you will need to defeat named Long-arm Gentipede Sen’un. He is located in the temple near the Temple Grounds Idol and can be gotten to be heading down to where the monks are and jumping on the roof of the building they are standing in front of. If you head to the right side of that squared roof you will see another building down below. Drop down and head to the back of the building and enter from the back or enter from the hole in the ceiling. Once inside defeat this boss and you will receive this as a reward.
• Sunken Valley : Under-Shrine Valley – From the Under-Shrine Valley Idol make your way down to where there is a gunner shooting towards the ledge below. Take him out and follow the path upwards to another ledge using the grapple on a tree out of the back side in between. Take out the gunner here and proceed up the ledge into a little cave like area where you see a gunner on another ledge ahead of you but be careful there is one directly to the left when you get out of the little tunnel. Take the one on your side out and then jump across and take out the other gunner. Now look for the wall that you can climb up and you will see a shack on the top landing. The item inside the little shack is this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley : Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol grapple your way down to the platforms below and hug the wall above on the ledge Snake Eyes Shirafuji was on to work your way around the cliff and over the bridge ahead. At the other end of the bridge grapple your way across and start making your way up the side of the mountain until you  get to the top. Head up the hill in front of you and take the path to the left. This will lead to a small tunnel leading into an area with two bulky gunners. Take out both of these gunners to receive this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley : Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol grapple your way down to the platforms below and hug the wall above on the ledge Snake Eyes Shirafuji was on to work your way around the cliff and over the bridge ahead. At the other end of the bridge grapple your way across and start making your way up the side of the mountain until you  get to the top. Head up the hill in front of you and take the path to the left. This will lead to a small tunnel leading into an area with two bulky gunners. Take out both of these gunners and look under the ledge where there are three items. One of those items is this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley: Gun Fort – From the Gun Fort Idol make your way forward and you will come to a room with Long-arm Gentipede Giraffe in it. Defeat this boss and you will receive this gunpowder immediately.
• Sunken Valley: Gun Fort – From the Gun Fort Idol make your way forward and you will come to a room with Long-arm Gentipede Giraffe in it. Defeat him and the fog wall ahead will lift. On the left side of the room behind the fog wall is a hole in the floor you can drop down into. Crouch to walk around under the floor and you will find this gunpowder on the floor in the back.
• Ashina Depths: Ashina Depths – From the Ashina Depths Idol head forward into the actual Depths and you will see an item in the hand of a giant statue you can grapple to. From the hand of the statue look down at the campsite below. To the left of the campsite in the poison pool is a statue head just laying in the poison, this gunpowder is in the pool behind the statue head.
• Ashina Depths: Hidden Forest – From the idol grapple to the branch ahead and drop to the platform below. Use the branch to the right and follow the branch to the platform to the left. Follow the platform back through to a drop down where you will start encountering spirits. Follow the wall to the left around the bend and you will come to this gunpowder.
• Ashina Depths: Ashina Depths – From the Ashina Depths Idol head forward into the actual Depths and you will see an item in the hand of a giant statue you can grapple to. Grapple over and to the right you will see a hole in the wall next to the pool. Before dropping down look up to the left at the wall and there will be a grapple point. Grapple up and follow the path until you get to the point where you have to duck under the rock to progress. Duck under the rock and don’t go past the second rock above your head. Instead stand up and jump into the cubby to the side.  Use the footholes to wall jump up to the platform ahead and when you land up top there will be an item on the floor to the left behind the statue, that is this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – From the shrine head down into the valley with the yellow fluid. Make your way down slowly with the tree branches and the item in the poisonous water below is this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – From the shrine head down into the valley with the yellow fluid. Halfway through the valley you will come across a white monkey dual-wielding swords. Defeat him and you will be awarded this gunpowder.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – Head down into the valley and bear right when it juts out and you will see the Toxic Memorial Mob merchant. You can purchase two of these for 270 Sen each.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – Head down into the valley and follow it until you get to the area with 4 monkeys and a white monkey on the path. Take out the white monkey here to get this gunpowder.
• Ashina Depths: Mibu Village – From the idol follow the path forward into the towns and continue heading straight until you get to the willow tree covered in white leaves. Just past that tree is an ogre with a bell. Take him out and proceed into the next area of the village but check inside the first house on the left on your way uo as this is where you will find this gunpowder.
