Sekiro Shadows Die Twice All Prosthetic Tool Locations

March 21, 2019 by PowerPyx 5 Comments

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice contains 10 Prosthetic Tools. This guide shows all Sekiro Prosthetic Tool Locations. Prosthetic Tools act as secondary weapons for your Prosthetic Arm. Locating and fully upgrading all Tools unlocks the Master of the Prosthetic trophy or achievement. They are also great to exploit certain enemy weaknesses.

After finding one of them you can bring it back to the Sculptor at the Dilapidated Temple to have him fit it to your arm. Then equip it in the inventory (3 slots) and press Triangle-Button (PS4) / Y (Xbox One) to change between the selected tools. Using these tools consumes Spirit Emblems, which you get from every defeated enemy. You can increase the number of Spirit Emblems via skill upgrades. You can also upgrade the Prosthetic Tools at the Sculptor with Scrap Iron, Black Gunpowder, Scrap Magnetite and other items.

None of these collectibles are missable. You can still return to all areas later on. This guide lists them in chronological order. Some are found in the world and others are bought from merchants.

Ashina Outskirts

Prosthetic Tool #1 Shuriken Wheel (Loaded Shuriken): Outskirts Wall – Gate Path
Immediately in the next building after reaching the “Outskirts Wall – Gate Path” idol (fast travel point). From the idol you can use the grapple to jump through a hole in a building. On the left side next to a corpse you find this. It looks like any other golden-glowing item pickup. The Sculptor turns the Shuriken Wheel into a Loaded Shuriken tool.

Prosthetic Tool #2 Robert’s Firecrackers (Shinobi Firecrackers): Outskirts Wall – Gate Path
Just after the last Tool, you’ll meet the first miniboss in a courtyard, a samurai called General Naomori Kawarada. Get past him and take the left path downhill. To your left will be a tall mountain. Use your grapple to get to the top of that mountain. There you find a secret merchant sitting in a tent. He sells you this tool for 500 money. You can farm this by killing enemies and holding Square-Button (PS4) / X-Button (Xbox One) to collect the coins. This is just before a cannon enemy shoots at you from a wall. If you get shot at by a cannon you went just a few steps too far, the mountain with the merchant is before the cannon enemy on the left. The Sculptor turns Robert’s Firecrackers into the Shinobi Firecracker tool.

Hirata Estate

Prosthetic Tool #3 Flame Barrel (Flame Vent): Estate Path
To unlock Hirata Estate region you must talk to an old Woman in a destroyed house in Ashina Outskirts between “Outskirts Wall – Gate Path” & “Outskirts Wall – Stairway”. She gives you a bell that you can then use at the altar where the Sculptor sits (Dilapidated Temple). After the Estate Path idol, jump across the walls on the right side until you reach a big area with an archer on a roof and lots of enemies around a campfire. Inside the campfire is this tool, very hard to see. You need to walk over the campfire to see the pickup prompt. The Sculptor turns the Flame Barrel into the Flame Vent tool.

Prosthetic Tool #4 Shinobi Axe of the Monkey (Loaded Axe): Estate Path
This is very close to the last tool. From the campfire where we picked up the Flame Barrel, take the path upstairs (normal story path). There’s a dying man leaning against a wall on the right side, telling you of an axe. After talking to him, head left and enter the next courtyard where 2 enemies are standing in a little garden area (you can eavesdrop on them). Kill these two and open the small garden house they were guarding. In this garden house is the tool. The Sculptor turns the Shinobi Axe into the Loaded Axe tool.

Prosthetic Tool #5 Mist Raven’s Feathers (Mist Raven): Bamboo Thicket Slope
After killing the “Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen” miniboss you come to the Bamboo Thicket Slope idol. Follow the path after this idol a few steps up a small set of stairs and grapple on to tree stump on the left. Then jump in the water and swim upriver, all the way to the end. On the right side you can grapple a tree branch and find a golden-glowing item pickup (very end of river). To the right of this item pickup is a bamboo door / barricade. Hit it to destroy it, thus revealing a path into a cave. Walljump up the cave to come to a hidden temple on top of a mountain. Here a powerful ninja spawns but you can ignore him for now. Just open the temple door and inside you find this tool. The Sculptor turns the Mist Raven’s Feathers into the Mist Raven tool.

Ashina Castle

Prosthetic Tool #6 Gyoubu’s Broken Horn (Loaded Spear): Ashina Castle – MISSABLE!
From the first idol in this region (the idol itself is called “Ashina Castle”), jump off the bridge to the left if the idol and grapple on to the tree branch. Here you can eavesdrop on two enemies standing on a bridge. Kill them and they’ll drop the “Gatehouse Key”. From the same bridge where you fought them, drop down the right side until you reach the Ashina Reservoir idol. Remember the Prologue when you were told how to sneak through grass? That same part can be revisted here, that’s where the Gatehouse is. Except this time there are lots of riflemen and two big hammer guys patrolling the area. Open the gatehouse with the key. Inside is a big treasure box that contains this tool. The Sculptor turns Gyoubu’s Broken Horn into the Loaded Spear tool. This can no longer be reached after having killed the Divine Dragon in the Fountainhead Palace.

Prosthetic Tool #7 Sabimaru: Upper Tower – Antechamber
From the first idol in Ashina Castle you must jump across the rooftops on the right side and follow the smoke signals on the roofs to the big tower in the middle of the map (tallest building, easy to see). When enter the tower via the roofs there’s the Antechamber idol. Go into the room where some samurai in blue robes are patrolling the area. Jump down the tower here. At the bottom are 4 enemies and a treasure chest in a side room. Inside the big treasure chest is this tool.

Prosthetic Tool #8 Iron Fortress (Loaded Umbrella): Old Grave
From the Old Grave idol, jump down the left side to a building with a broken rooftop. Drop through the hole in the roof. In this building you find a hidden merchant. He sells you the Iron Fortress tool for 1600 money. The Sculptor turns the Iron Fortress into the Loaded Umbrella tool.

Sunken Valley

Prosthetic Tool #9 Large Fan (Divine Abduction): Gun Fort
Immediately after the Sunken Valley’s third idol, called “Gun Fort”, you will enter a room where the Long-arm Gentipede Giraffe boss fight takes place. After killing this boss the Large Fan part can be found in this room. The Sculptor turns the Large Fan into the Divine Abduction tool.

Prosthetic Tool #10 Slender Finger (Finger Whistle): Bodhisattva Valley
This is automatically dropped by the Guardian Ape main boss. It’s the last boss in this area and mandatory for story progression. He drops the Slender Finger. The Sculptor turns the Slender Finger into the Finger Whistle prosthetic tool.

That’s all the prosthetic tools in Sekiro! After bringing them all back to the Sculptor and having them fitted, the “All Prosthetic Tools” trophy or achievement will unlock.

Is the loaded umbrella missable as well? After the divine dragon, the merchant in the house with the hole in the roof is dead and there is no item there.
