This guide shows how to find and solve the Riverbank Treasure House in Resident Evil 8 Village (RE8). It’s a secret treasure location in the north-west of the Village.
You can’t reach it right away when unlocking the treasures on the world map. It’s only available much later after the Moreau boss area.
Step 1: First you will have to get the Crank key item. You get this automatically during the Moreau boss area from one of the windmills that you must interact with. It cannot be missed, you get it automatically from story progression. After you’re done with the Moreau boss area, backtrack to the Drawbridge at the Lone Road (west of the Altar in the Village where Duke Merchant sits). Use the Crank on the Drawbridge to lower the bridge.
Step 2: Get in the boat behind the drawbridge and drive it upriver. Disembark at the riverbank and enter the dungeon under Castle Domitrescu on the right side.
Step 3: This will lead you to the Riverbank Treasure House. There is a burning brazier hanging in the middle of the room. Shoot it to make it swing into the 2 torches on the left and right.
Step 4: This will open up two doors. Now Moroaica enemies will spawn infinitely from the right side. You must shoot the burning Brazier so it swings into the enemy, thus setting it on fire. Now lure the burning enemy to the third torch at the end of the room. When it runs into the torch, the torch gets set on fire. This opens the last door to the Treasure of the Riverbank House.
Reward: Your reward as a valuable item called Golden Lady Statue. It can be sold to the Duke Merchant for 20,000 Lei.
