Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 5 contains 8 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Treasures, Castellans, Merchant Requests, Recipes, Weapons, Weapon Parts, Chapter-Specific Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles except Treasures Progress carry over into New Game Plus. There is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story, but you can get missing collectibles in New Game Plus. All Treasures must be found in a single playthrough to unlock their trophies. Some collectibles can’t be reached on the first visit, those must be collected during later chapters when you have the necessary key items.
Collectible Progress can be tracked in the Challenges Menu. Treasure Progress shows on the world map after buying the treasure map from the merchant. It’s highly recommended to collect everything at the first opportunity outlined here, areas gradually become inaccessible when advancing the story.
Chapter 5
Objective: Escape from the church
Treasure: Yellow Diamond
At the very start of Chapter 5, turn around and enter the room where Chapter 4 ended. Shoot down the silver container hanging from the ceiling. This is still inside the church, upstairs.
Objective: Head for the extraction point
Trophy: Talk About Near-Death Experience! – Rescue Ashley as she’s being carried away by the enemy.
After leaving the church, instead of attacking the enemies wait for them to carry Ashley away. Then shoot the enemy while he’s walking away so Ashley gets dropped, thus unlocking the trophy.
Merchant Request: A Savage Mutt
On the wall next to the merchant outside Town Hall. Must kill a big wolf in Village Square, but it only spawns after going south to Village Chief’s Manor and exploring the attic by boosting up Ashley. Then when you return to Village Square the enemy will spawn. This will be pointed out in the collectibles below when it happens so don’t worry about it for now and continue with the next collectibles.
Treasure: Elegant Bangle
In Village Square, after defeating the enemies go to the last house and interact with the yellow ledge on the side to boost Ashley up. She will open the door, then you can find a blue chest inside.
Castellan 5
From Village Square take the path south to Village Chief’s Manor. This is in the attic of Village Chief’s Manor, accessed from the bedroom by pulling the lever and boosting Ashley up the ladder. Cannot be picked up earlier because you need Ashely to reach the attic. It’s on the left side of the attic, behind a yellow destructible crate.
Treasure: Antique Camera
Also found in the attic of Village Chief’s Manor. At the end of the attic must crouch under a wooden plank and then find it on a shelf.
A Savage Mutt (for “A Savage Mutt” Merchant Request)
After clearing out the attic, return to the Village Square and a big wolf enemy will spawn. Defeat it to finish this Merchant Request.
Treasure: Antique Pipe
At the farm, from the Wayshrine. Now that you have the Wayshrine Key you can interact with it for the treasure.
That’s 100% of the collectibles in Chapter 5 of Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4).
Next Up: Chapter 6 Collectibles

If you intend to get all collectibles on one run, be aware once you head north of the farm to the villa – that is the point of no return back to the village.

In my opinion, anyone doing all Village merchant requests to get infinite Sweeper ammo as early as possible in Ch. 7 (S+ Rank runs), it’s not worth doing the mutt. Skip it, and then do the 5 medallions early in Ch. 7. You have to do the ramparts section “legit” this way, but that is easier than the mutt on hardcore, even standard. Huge PITA. The Blue Medallions 5 request occurs in the section where you break the wall down with the cannon during Ch. 7, and I imagine most will find it easier to skip the mutt and just get those medallions. You get 5 spinels for it, so you should get to 30 if you do the other 7 requests in the Village.

Problem is you are not guaranteed getting 30 Spinels if you skip the Mutt. You only get 28 Spinels if you do the first Medallion Request in Chapter 7 but skip the Mutt. So you would need to get lucky and randomly find 2 Spinels from loot crates. Personally, I only found 1 during entire village section (completely random, pure luck). But if you are lucky and find 2 Spinels before the Mutt you could skip the Mutt and then just do first request in Chapter 7. There are no requests for a while after that so if you end up short on Spinels in Chapter 7 you make it harder for yourself. I didn’t find the Mutt that bad, flashbang > stab > shoot with shotgun > flashbang > repeat > it will be on floor entire time and can’t attack (flashbang also stuns all other enemies in area).

Do you get Trophy: Talk About Near-Death Experience! for doing the stab reaction while dude is carrying Ashley?
