Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 3 contains 25 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Treasures, Castellans, Merchant Requests, Recipes, Weapons, Weapon Parts, Chapter-Specific Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles except Treasures Progress carry over into New Game Plus. There is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story, but you can get missing collectibles in New Game Plus. All Treasures must be found in a single playthrough to unlock their trophies. Some collectibles can’t be reached on the first visit, those must be collected during later chapters when you have the necessary key items.
Collectible Progress can be tracked in the Challenges Menu. Treasure Progress shows on the world map after buying the treasure map from the merchant. It’s highly recommended to collect everything at the first opportunity outlined here, areas gradually become inaccessible when advancing the story.
Chapter 3
Objective: Head for the church
Treasure: Vintage Compass
Back at the Main Village Square, inside the drawer of a small house. Requires the Small Key from the house at end of Chapter 2.
Treasure: Velvet Blue
After picking up the treasure, use the Insignia Key on the Town Hall door at the Village Square. Inside the Town Hall you will find a silver container hanging from the ceiling, shoot it down.
Merchant Request: Viper Hunter
After leaving the Town Hall you will find the next merchant, the blue request letter is on the wall next to him. You must find and sell 3 Vipers to the merchant. You will find them over time, they can also be in loot crates.
Treasure: Elegant Headdress
After going through a graveyard you will reach the church. Outside the church follow the path on the right all the way to the end to find a treasure chest and request letter. (outside the typewriter save room).
Merchant Request: Grave Robber
Immediately left of the above treasure. After picking it up, go back to the graveyard in front of the church and shoot the V-emblems on the double graves near the center of the graveyard.
Objective: Cross the Lake
Viper 1 (for “Viper Hunter” Merchant Request)
After the typewriter save room in the church, drop down the hatch and you will encounter some enemies. A viper snake will be in the yellow chest in the first house on the left. Kill it, loot it, sell it at the next merchant.
Merchant Request: Destroy the Blue Medallions 2
In plain sight in front of you in the entrance section of The Quarry. Look for blue request letter on wall. You must destroy another 5 Blue Medallions, they are marked on the map and will be listed below (all in Chapter 3).
Trophy: Shield Your Eyes
Right after picking up the Request, there will be crows on the ground. Throw a flash grenade and it will count for the trophy, must kill 3 with one flashbang explosion.
Treasure: Ruby
In the same area there is a lamp you can shoot down from the wires above.
Blue Medallion 1
From where you got the treasure you can also shoot a blue medallion hanging from the wooden scaffolding above.
Shooting Range (1A, 1B, 1C)
When you reach the next merchant enter the elevator next to him to reach the shooting gallery. Here you can play the first 3 shooting challenges. In total there are 12 challenges but right now you can only access 3. The remaining 9 challenges will become available later in the game at other shooting ranges. You still have access to all previous challenges at later shooting ranges so can still do them later. You must get S-Rank in all challenges for “Real Deadeye”. To do this you will generally have to finish the bonus objective, listed below each challenge after beating it once, shoot all pirate targets and don’t shoot any sailors. There’s another shooting range trophy “Trick Shot”, which you should get automatically during the later challenges and don’t need to worry about for now. The later shooting ranges will be pointed out when we get there.
Castellan 3
From the merchant jump down the ladder, go to the end of the pier and look up to see it between the roof and wooden boxes.
Key Item: Hexagon Piece A
In the chest across from the merchant (same room).
Blue Medallion 2
After going outside, drop down to the area below and shoot the medallion hanging underneath the pier.
Blue Medallion 3
At the start of the fish farm in the first hut.
Viper 2-3 (for “Viper Hunter” Merchant Request)
You can find a total of 3 vipers in the same place as the previous Medallion, usually on the path before the hut. Listen to their hissing sound. Shoot them, collect them, and remember to sell them to the merchant later to complete this request from earlier. A total of 3 vipers is all you need, with the one from earlier you should have more than needed now.
Blue Medallion 4
On the left side of the fish farm, you can shoot it through an opening in the wooden wall.
Treasure: Antique Pipe
In the flooded area on the right side of the Fish Farm, shoot down the silver container.
Blue Medallion 5
At the end of the Fish Farm on the right side, after dropping down into the flooded area you can walk under the wooden walkway to see it. Also has a chest with Hexagon Piece B next to it.
Key Item: Hexagon Piece B
Left of the previous Medallion, in a chest.
Key Item: Small Key
In the little shed on the left at the end of the Fish Farm. Next to the building where you pick up the fuel. You need this for a treasure (will be listed below).
Key Item: Boat Fuel
Inside the building at the very end of Fish Farm. This can be used on the boat but don’t use it yet, first grab the treasure near the merchant in the locked drawer with the small key.
Treasure: Brass Pocket Watch
Do not escape with the boat yet. Instead, backtrack to the merchant, drop down the ladder next to him, open the locked drawer with the small key for this treasure.
Finish Merchant Request: Viper Hunt
While at the merchant also sell the Vipers to him to complete the Request “Viper Hunter”. Afterward you can return to the boat and use it to continue the story.
That’s 100% of the collectibles in Chapter 3 of Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4).

Hi is it safe to sell collectibles / treasures? I am still in Chapter 3 and got some treasures / collectibles since I follow your collectible video so I like to know about selling items for more money?
PowerPyx says
Yes selling them right away doesn’t void anything. But in the long run it’s more profitable to keep gems until you can inlay them into treasures, then you can sell those for more money. Inlaying them gives a money bonus. But it only works on some treasures and not all.
Velvet Blues and Treasures that can’t be inlayed with gems are safe to sell right away. Treasures that have inlay slots I would keep to combine them with gems for extra money.
Hamad says
There’s an Ornate Necklace next to the Insignia Door. Not sure if that count towards the trophy but I haven’t seen it mentioned in the guide.
PowerPyx says
I think that’s a DLC treasure from Deluxe Edition?
Definitely doesn’t exist in Standard Edition and isn’t needed for the trophy. The DLC treasures aren’t needed to earn the trophies / achievements / challenges, only the standard treasures are required.
