Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 2 contains 15 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Treasures, Castellans, Merchant Requests, Recipes, Weapons, Weapon Parts, Chapter-Specific Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles except Treasures Progress carry over into New Game Plus. There is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story, but you can get missing collectibles in New Game Plus. All Treasures must be found in a single playthrough to unlock their trophies. Some collectibles can’t be reached on the first visit, those must be collected during later chapters when you have the necessary key items.
Collectible Progress can be tracked in the Challenges Menu. Treasure Progress shows on the world map after buying the treasure map from the merchant. It’s highly recommended to collect everything at the first opportunity outlined here, areas gradually become inaccessible when advancing the story.
Chapter 2
Objective: Head for the church
Treasure: Sapphire
In the Abandoned Factory, after you are given a tutorial how to Parry, it’s in the 2nd oven on the left.
Merchant Request: Pest Control
Right next to the first Merchant. Go back to the factory you just came out of and kill 3 rats there. 1 is in the destroyed hallway on the right, 2 are in the central room where you had the Parry tutorial. After defeating the rats return to the Merchant.
Treasure Map: Village
Bought from Merchant, in the “Trade” section, costs 1 Spinel. This will mark all remaining Village Treasures on your map and makes them significantly easier to locate.
Treasure: Ruby
After the first Merchant you will enter an area with lots of enemies called “Valley”. Treasure is in a chest in the northmost part of this area, uphill.
Key Item: Small Key
In the area after the Merchant called “Valley” where lots of enemies spawn. In a house in the south, inside the little box.
Key Item: Hexagonal Emblem
In the south of the “Valley” area, after defeating the enemies go upstairs to find it on the side of the weather vane. You can insert it on the gate next to the merchant (when you do, you will have to rotate the emblem so the phoenix on it faces the wall).
Treasure: Elegant Mask
Return to the merchant and go back inside the factory where you came from previously. Now use the Small Key on the locked drawer behind the gate, where you recovered your equipment earlier.
Treasure: Sapphire
After using the Hexagonal Emblem on the gate, go through that gate and crouch under the boxes on the left, then open the treasure chest at the end of the path.
Castellan 2
From the previous location, crouch back under the boxes, then go upstairs to a wooded area and enter the first hut on the left. Shoot the figurine in there.
Treasure: Sapphire
Same area as before, hanging from a tree in the middle. Looks like a silver bell, shoot it down and pick up the treasure from the ground afterward.
Treasure: Pearl Pendant
Same area as before, there’s a well on the left side. First you should shoot the stick behind the well so that the treasure doesn’t get dirty when it falls down (can sell it for more money). Then shoot the silver bell hanging from the well and the treasure will land safely on the lid.
(Emerald)
(Dropped by the chainsaw-wielding enemy that spawns after the previous 2 treasures, but does not count as a treasure/collectible, not needed for anything)
Treasure: Ruby
In the next house you enter, in the drawer in the entry hallway, downstairs.
Key Item: Small Key
In the same house, in the corner of the main room downstairs.
Key Item: Crystal Marble
Open the wardrobe downstairs, the combination from left to right is: Crops – Pig – Baby. (The clue is obtained from the book upstairs next to typewriter but not mandatory to read it first). Now with the Marble go upstairs and insert it in the door. You must rotate it so that the shape of the little white dots in the marble lines up perfectly with the figure behind it (as seen in image below).
Key Item: Insignia Key
From the locker behind the door. Picking it up finishes the chapter.
That’s 100% of the collectibles in Chapter 2 of Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4).
