This Resident Evil 3 Remake Guide shows where to find all Collectible Locations on PS4, Xbox One, PC (20 Charlie Dolls, 56 Files, 20 Locks / Lockers / Strongboxes / Pickable Locks, 6 Inventory Upgrades, 25 Key Items, 4 collectable Weapons). There are 144 Collectibles divided into 7 types and 4 Weapons.
Locating all RE3 Remake Collectibles unlocks the following trophies or achievements:
- Hello, Charlie! – Destroy a Charlie Doll.
- Goodbye, Charlie! – Destroy all Charlie dolls.
- Bookworm – Read all story files.
- RE: Master of Unlocking – Unlock all safes, lockers, strongboxes, and pickable locks
- Kendo’s Armory – Collect all weapons in the campaign.
- Gunsmith – Improve a weapon.
- Get Organized – Expand your inventory.
Most Collectibles are missable! Collect them in chronological order as you go through the game. You can get all of them on your first playthrough, nothing requires a 2nd playthrough.
While Key Items are not tied to any trophy or achievement, they are often required to reach a collectible and to advance the story. This Collectible Guide is written in a Walkhrough format with all important Key Items and Puzzle Solutions included. This will help you get through the first playthrough with ease. Below all trophy-relevant collectibles are color-coded. The ones that aren’t directly tied to trophies are in black.
You should collect everything on easy difficulty (Assisted Mode) to make it easier. In this mode you start with an extra rifle and 4 extra inventory slots.
You can keep track of your Collectibles in the Records Menu. Scroll through the Records list to see the stats that they track. “Bookworm” tracks Files, “Goodbye, Charlie!” tracks Charlie Dolls (Bobbleheads), “RE: Master of Unlocking” tracks Safes and Locks. After finding a Collectible it gets saved to your Records instantly and there’s no need to collect them again if you die.
Everything carries over to subsequent playthroughs and you can also jump between manual saves to grab a missing collectible and it will count retroactively (they are all saved on your “profile save” so you don’t lose anything when jumping to an old save).
Collectible Overview:
- 56 x Files
- 20 x Charlie Dolls (Bobbleheads)
- 20 x Locks (Safes, Lockers, Strongboxes, Padlocks, Pickable Locks)
- 4 x Collectable Weapons (Note: There are 10 weapons total, the other 6 are automatically placed in your inventory during story and have no locations)
- 10 x Weapon Upgrade Parts
- 6 x Inventory Upgrades (Hip Pouches)
- 25 x Key Items (needed to advance story and reach certain collectibles)

That’s all of the Collectibles in Resident Evil 3 Remake on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Congratulations on finding all of them!
Adam says
I have an idea for dlc on RE3 remake. It’s called extreme difficulty. The Nemesis is 2 times faster and stronger. The dodge manuever is disabled and you can’t use infinite ammo. This dlc will only be available for PS4 and Xbox 1 users. Why? PC users always cheat when they play their games!! From a scale of 1-10, 10 being most difficult, how would you rate the difficulty of my dlc idea?
Adam's Mom says
Console peasant assumes all PC users cheat, LUL. Sounds like you need to git gud.
Git Gud says
I would rate it in the contest of “git gud and shut up, you filthy casul”
OhBuddaSteedy says
You’re not wrong. I see buddy up there is butthurt cause you called him out, but really that just let’s me know he’s cheated in games and regrets it. Re2 was basically picked apart by PC gamers who didn’t want to play the game properly, so I’m sure the same would happen to this. Also, lol.. I’m a PC player, but play these games on console, as they should be. Imo.
JesterTRT says
Do collectibles carry over through play troughs? I want to do one play through on stream without a guide. Will the ones I find naturally carry over to play through 2 and I just get the ones I missed?
Or will it be reset and I need to reget them all?
PowerPyx says
Everything carries over 🙂
You can also jump between old manual saves without losing any progress (all collectibles stored on profile save).
LetsPlayNintendoITA says
As carlos in the f1 there’s a collectible u missed in a strongbox in f1 just entering it
PowerPyx says
It’s not a collectible. Those ID card boxes don’t count towards the 20 locks, nor are they needed for any other in-game record.
T says
My charlie trophy is glitched. I followed every step, destroyed all 20 and yet it still says 19/20 for me, wtf.
PowerPyx says
Double check all of them on next playthrough that you didn’t miss any. If they are all destroyed and the counter is stuck, reinstall the game, delete all save games and start over from the beginning. When you only go for the Charlies you can speedrun it in 60-90 minutes on Assisted difficulty.
Psykoknight65 says
So for some reason when I fight him as I’m running to the Sewer he doesn’t drop the moderator for me he just drops shotgun shells
TB says
It’s not on your way to the sewers, it when you come out the donut shop and he is transforming a zombie.
FadeToBlack1989 says
Anyone know how to get fuggedaboutim challenge. Just finished nightmare mode with an S ranking in 1:16:48. 0 saves. 0 deaths. And still havent unlocked this acheivement/challenge
Wesley says
When the guy gets in the container near the start of the game just keep interacting with him until you finish all dialogue
GooseAttack42 says
You just need to talk to Dario when he locks himself in that truck until you don’t get the prompt anymore.
VampireHorde says
Just wanted to point out that you say the electronics boxes with red display that use Brad’s ID card “don’t count as collectibles” then four lines down you say that Weapons Upgrade #6 (which uses Brad’s card) is a collectible. Other than that, stellar guide!
PowerPyx says
Correct, the ID lock boxes themselves do NOT count towards the 20 locks. They are NOT collectibles.
One of them does contain a weapon upgrade part (that’s why the ID card is pointed out in the guide). Just the box itself isn’t a collectible, so it’s all factually correct in the guide.
VampireHorde says
I was having trouble completing the “Kendo’s Armory” Trophy because my stats showed I had 9 out of 10 weapons. I did 5 full playthroughs and could not figure out what I was missing but then a lightbulb went off in my head!
Here are the 10 weapons you need for the Kendo’s Armory Trophy/Achievement:
Four default weapons for Carlos and Jill:
1) G18 Handgun – Jill
2) Survival Knife – Jill
3) Assault Rifle – Carlos
4) Combat Knife – Carlos
Four Hidden Weapons:
5) M3 Shotgun
6) Grenade Launcher
7) G19 Burst Handgun
8) Lightning Hawk
Two Carry-on Weapons
9) Hand Grenade
10) Flash Grenade
Turns out that I needed the Flash Grenade to complete the weapons list. It was the one item I kept ignoring but when I snagged it, I finally got the trophy. I know this is all obvious but to anyone that had trouble like I did, I hope this helps!

I hope they remake RE1. That would be epic. Also think it would be cool to do a code Veronica remake. Didn’t play zero as it was only GameCube at time. But it as well. 4 is still good and 5 was good. 6 was ok. Didn’t play biohazard yet. And looking forward to next installment

RE1 was already remade. They’re not going to remake it again.
