Resident Evil 2 Remake All Weapon Locations

January 24, 2019 by DK 3 Comments

Resident Evil 2 has 11 Collectable Weapons. This guide will show you how to get all weapon in RE2. Leon and Claire have different weapons. However, they are in the same location for each one (with one exception). Leon has 5 Weapons and Claire 6.  There is one more special SMG with infinite ammo that’s unlocked by beating Hardcore difficulty with S-Rank.

W-870 Shotgun (Leon) / GM 79 Grenade Launcher (Claire)

After obtaining the Spade Key in the 3rd Floor you will now have access to the East Side of the 2nd Floor. Head to the Art Room there and Grab the Keycard from the table.

With the Keycard all you have to do now is head to the Safety Deposit Room (1st Floor). In Safety Deposit Room use the Keycard at the end of the room to open up the secured cabinet to grab your weapon. For Claire it will be a Grenade Launcher and for Leon a Shotgun.

Lightning Hawk Magnum (Leon) / MQ 11 Submachine Gun SMG (Claire)

This unlock will have several steps you have to follow. You can see the weapon early on in S.T.A.R.S Room. First you should know, you can’t unlock those weapons before finishing the underground / parking lot section and obtaining the Heart Key for Claire or Clubs Key for Leon.

You will need the Red Jewel for this. Head to the Library in the 2nd Floor East Side and grab the Red Book from the table there.

With Red Book in your inventory head back to the same room you found the Keycard for the weapon cabinet. The Art Room in the 2nd Floor. You will find a statue there and an arm of the statue next to it. Combine your Red Book with the Statue Arm and place it back on the statue. You will receive a scepter which you will have to examine and turn around to receive the Red Jewel.

This Red Jewel you will have to combine with the Jewelry Box, which you can get from the Observation Room / Interrogation Room. This is only available after you returned from the Parking Lot area. Combine both items and you will receive the S.T.A.R.S. Badge. Examine it and it will turn into a USB-drive which you can use on the computer in S.T.A.R.S Office in order to unlock the weapons locker.

Head to the S.T.A.R.S. Office to retrieve the weapon.

JMB Hp3 Laser Sight Pistol (Claire Exclusive)

Claire has one more weapon than Leon. From the Parking Garage, enter the Firing Range. Pick up the yellow Box and examine it to find a Car Key inside. Go to the parking garage.

Look for the police car displayed below. Then examine the Car Key from the inventory and click the button on its back to open the trunk of the car! With Claire you’ll fine a unique pistol inside. Leon only gets a weapon upgrade part for his main pistol. Either way it’s worth checking out.

Chemical Flamethrower (Leon) / Spark Shot (Claire)

In the lower Sewers, after passing through the Bottom Waterway you come to the Supplies Storage Room. The story brings you here because you must retrieve the Queen Plug and King Plug from this room. The weapons locker is kinda on your way. Grab the Queen Plug and put it in the only other available socket that it fits in, thus opening a door. Head upstairs to grab the King Plug. Then use the King Plug on the Weapon Locker door and it’s open.

Rocket Launcher (Leon) / Minigun (Claire)

During the final boss fight Leon gets a Rocket Launcher while Claire gets a Minigun. These weapons are in plain sight and story-related.

M19 Pistol (Leon B) / Quickdraw Army Revolver (Claire B)

After your first playthrough, you can go to the title menu and select “New Game [2nd Run]” to start the B campaign. In the very first room you enter, the Guardroom, there’s a new weapon for either character next to the storage box. Leon gets a new Pistol while Claire gets a quickdraw Revolver. It’s at the very start of the B campaign and virtually impossible to miss.

There you go, those are all 11 weapons in Resident Evil 2 Remake! Don’t forget you also get some weapons with infinite ammo from the Records Menu by doing certain challenges. Namely, beating the game with S-Rank on Normal gives you a pistol with infinite ammo and beating it on Hardcore with S-Rank gives you an infinite ammo SMG.

I’m late to the game 5 years later but I decided to get it because it was only 10$ and I got Re1 remake for 5$. (again) I bought RE1 on my PS4 on another account I used, but on my PS5 the game doesn’t work unless I have the other account that I don’t use anymore.
