Introduction

Welcome to the Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon DLC Trophy Guide! The Dark Horizon is the third and final DLC expansion for Remnant 2. You will travel to a new region of N’Erud. As opposed to the base game’s areas, the Dark Horizon’s main hub is not procedurally generated and will always look the same. However, starting from the second time you go through the DLC, the side dungeons are randomized, including the legacy ones, aka those you would normally find in N’Erud. The DLC features one final Archetype, the Warden. At first glance, what immediately stands out is how much longer this DLC is. This is because of :silver: The Master Builder, a grindy trophy that heavily hinges on RNG.

Step 1: Unlock The Ultimate Doom, B.O.T., Master of Technology, and Still Not a Janitor, The Master Builder (Part 1)

For this step, focus on completing the DLC once. As you explore the new areas, you can immediately unlock most trophies and work your way through the first part of the grindiest trophy of the DLC, :silver: The Master Builder. Follow each trophy’s individual description to unlock everything in one playthrough.

Step 2: The Master Builder (Part 2)

Once you’ve escorted Spark back to Ward 13, you want to start collecting all the Key Items needed to make his shop items available for purchase. To get this trophy, you must unlock all the items from his shop, except for the consumables and the concoctions. Depending on how lucky you get, the time to complete this step can vary greatly. Follow :silver: The Master Builder for more information.

Here’s what you need to do to unlock this trophy:

  1. Find a robot called Spark in three random different locations in both the Agronomy Sector and the Withered Necropolis.
  2. After defeating Alepsis-Taura (the DLC’s final boss), you must revisit Spark inside the tunnel past the Custodian in the Withered Necropolis. The tunnel is found past the Custodian and on the left past the fields. You might have to talk to him twice to wake him up. When available, choose to have him join you on planet Earth at Ward 13.
  3. Return now to Ward 13 and you’ll find Spark right of Dwell. If he’s not there, restart your game.
  4. Talk to Spark and he will give you the Alloy Extractor.
  5. Now you must farm the following items to buy all the items from his shop, except the consumables and concoctions. The Ancient Alloy only spawns in Yaesha, the Mythril Alloy in Losomn, the Alien Alloy in N’Erud. Once you’ve acquired all items, the trophy will unlock.
  1. Ring of Ashes: 1 Crimson King Coin, 25 Mythril Alloy.
    1. Starting Area: Losomn > Red Throne: the Crimson King Coin is dropped by the Fae elite enemy in the side dungeon Gilded Chambers. After getting the Magic Quill by the Jester, go back upstairs and enter the gate past the bookcases you have to jump on in the main library hall. If you don’t get the Gilded Chambers, reroll.
  2. Timekeeper’s Forfeit: 1 Clockwork Pinion, 50 Mythril Alloy
    1. Starting Area: Losomn > Morrow Parish: the Clockwork Pinion can be obtained by inputting 11:17 on the clock inside the workshop found at the end of the Lemark District side dungeon.
  3. Strand of Sinew: 1 Nightwear Stone Doll, 25 Mythril Alloy
    1. Starting area: Losomn > Morrow Parish. Reach the Morrow Sanatorium and collect the three Stone-Carved Dolls inside the Sanatorium and the Prison Cell Key in the balcony. Then, give all statues to the woman in the prison cell in the basement. Lastly, open the door to grab the Nightweaver Stone Doll.
  4. Mortal Coil: 1 Fruit of Death, 25 Ancient Alloy
    1. Starting Area: Yaesha > The Forbidden Grove: can be found by equipping the Ravager’s Mark amulet in front of the deer statue immediately after the start.
  5. Ornate Amulet: 1 Ornate Lockbox, 50 Ancient Alloy
    1. Starting Area: Yaesha > The Red Throne / Forbidden Grove. For this, you must find the Widow’s Court side dungeon. Then make your way to the left and reach the downstairs area. You’ll find this past an illusory wall after wading through some shallow water.
  6. Symbol of Royalty: 1 Kolket’s Key, 25 Ancient Alloy
    1. Starting Area: Yaesha > The Red Throne: for this, you must find the Lament side dungeon. This side dungeon can appear in the Withering Weald main dungeon. If it doesn’t, reroll. To acquire the item, you must solve the blanket puzzle in the room with all the dead Paxultek bodies.

    1. Starting Area: N’Erud > Seeker’s Rest: for this, you must find the Vault of the Formless side dungeon. To find this area, enter the side dungeon on the left of the Phantom Wasteland. If it’s not the Vault of the Formless, reroll. Once there, don’t move when inside the second moving compartment. You must stand still for a good minute.
  8. Volatile Cartridge: 1 Override Pin, 50 Alien Alloy:
    1. Starting Area: N’Erud > Seeker’s Rest: found in the secret area in one of the towers in the Timeless Horizon overworld, the entrance can be spotted thanks to two statues at the front.

    1. Starting Area: N’Erud > Seeker’s Rest: found in the Terminus Station side dungeon. To find this area, enter the side dungeon on the left of the Phantom Wasteland. SEMI-MISSABLE

First, you must collect all 4 missing prototype parts:

  1. The Prototype Head can be found laying on the ground in the Agronomy Sector overworld, immediately after the starting lift sequence.
  2. The Prototype Arm can be found in the lower section of the Agronomy Sector overworld, past a laser wall in a red-lit cave. The red-lit cave is hard to miss if you pan the camera around while exploring the lower sections of the Agronomy Sector.
  3. The Prototype Claw can be found in the Withered Necropolis overworld near the Waylaid Conservatory crystal. From the Glider past the Custodian, fly straight on and steer left to reach two narrow bridges. Drop down to the lowest section of the bridge and then head right.
  4. The Prototype Memory Core can be found in the Withered Necropolis overworld. From the Convergence dungeon, enter the gate near the crystal to return to the Withered Necropolis overworld. Grab the Glider on the right and fly straight on across the chasm. Go through the tunnel and head left when possible and grab the Glider that you find. Drop down and slightly steer to the left to spot a hidden platform under the cliff. Fly to this section and go up the ramp on your right. Follow the tunnel to the end to find this part.

Once you’ve found the Prototype Memory Core, open your Inventory and inspect the item to turn its light from red to blue.

Lastly, you must deliver all parts to the B.O.T.

Returm to the starting area of the Agronomy Sector, grab the Glider and drop down to the left platform. Enter the tunnel and then go left at your first opportunity. Talk to the B.O.T. to deliver all parts and unlock this trophy.
