Welcome to the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trophy Guide! RDR2 is a massive project to platinum. There are 108 main missions, 21 stranger questlines, 70 of 104 gold medals are required, over 200 collectibles, 178 animals, 90 challenges, and reaching rank 50 in multiplayer. Rockstar threw in 4 missable trophies which are related to your camp from chapter 2 – 4 and for doing all optional (missable) story missions. The story takes roughly 50-60 hours to finish. Then you’ll have to replay missions for their gold medals and clean up the collectibles for 100% completion and lastly the animals. You can keep track of your progress on each trophy via Rockstar Social Club. There it shows you exactly the % you have earned towards each trophy.
Step 1: Missable Trophies, Optional Story Missions, Become Honorable, Gold Medals, Challenges
The first step is to play through the story (108 missions total). Along the way you must take great caution with the 4 missable trophies.
- Lending a Hand (Complete all optional Honor story missions): Some of the Story Missions are extremely easy to miss. Refer to the trophy description for “Lending a Hand” for a full list of required missions in chronological order, with quest giver and starting location. Keep an eye on that list as you play. The one that stands out the most is the Chapter 6 mission ‘Do Not Seek Absolution’ which requires Honor Level 4/8 to be played. Therefore, it’s super important you play honorably from the start. [*Note: In Patch 1.03 there is a lucky way to “cheat” the trophy if you missed it: After beating the story, replay the mission “Home Improvement for Beginners” (Epilogue) and the trophy unlocks instantly (regardless of how many honor missions you missed). But do go for all missions on your main playthrough regardless, in case this trick gets patched in a future update].
- Friends With Benefits (Complete a Companion Activity in each camp): For this you must do a random companion mission at camp in Chapters 2, 3, 4. Refer to the trophy description for all available events.
- Give to the Poor (Donate $250 to the gang tithing box): The Tithing Box disappears after Chapter 4 so you must do the trophy before then.
- Errand Boy (Deliver 5 camp companion item requests): Same as the other camp-related tasks, you must do this between Chapters 2 – 4. Refer to the trophy description for all available item requests and how to fulfill them.
If you did something dishonorable, reload the last save immediately. You can see your honor level by pressing 
. It must reach halfway to the right side (white color) in order to get access to all optional honor missions. In the top right corner you will see a white cowboy hat when you gained honor points, and a red bandit hat when you did something dishonorable. Refer to the Honor Guide for the best ways to increase honor and which story decisions affect it.
Also rob 4 Homesteads early on (trophy “Breaking and Entering”). The first chance is after Chapter 2 starts. There are limited homesteads and some are tied to companion activities, while others can become unavailable if you kill their owners without realizing. There are also a few missable weapons you should keep an eye on. Luckily you only need 48 of 62 weapons for the platinum so it’s no problem if you miss a few.
While working on Story Missions, try to go for the Gold Medals right away to reduce the number of replays. They are actually easier on your main playthrough because on replay you don’t have tonics and only basic weapons. The game doesn’t tell you the requirements on first playthrough but you can already do them if you know them. Refer to the Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Medals Guide for all tasks.
You can also start working on the challenges. There are 9 of them (each has 10 tasks so 9×10 = 90 total). They are all needed for 100% completion and are found under Pause Menu > Progress > Challenges.
Make a manual save from time to time (Pause Menu > Story > Save Game). In case you missed something it allows you to jump back without having to start a new game from scratch.
Lastly, a quick note about “Skin Deep” & “Zoologist” (skin & study every animal): There are some animals exclusive to an island in Chapter 5 that you can’t go back to, but they are not needed for the trophies! You only need the animals from the main map. So if you missed the Chapter 5 animals you can still earn the trophies, refer to the trophy descriptions for more detail.
Step 2: 100% Completion
After the story it’s time to clean up everything for 100% completion. Most time will go into the 200+ Collectibles and 90 Challenges. You can keep track under Pause Menu > Progress > Total Completion.

Step 3: All Animals
Interestingly, only 50 of 178 animals are required for 100% completion. So even though you’ve “completed” the game, you will still have 128 animals left to study and skin.
Step 4: Online
The online trophies are straightforward and will come naturally while going for Rank 50. The only thing you should keep in mind is to save up money for making a Permanent Posse ($200), for filling 5 stalls with horses ($1700), and for buying 5 camp upgrades ($250). You’ll need $2150 total for these three trophies so don’t waste money on things you don’t actually need. Money takes longer to earn in Multiplayer than it does in Singleplayer. Other than that, just enjoy the Multiplayer any way you see fit.

| *HIGHLY MISSABLE*
This trophy requires you to do ALL optional (=missable) story missions in one playthrough! This includes the debt collecting quests. All of these are quests that you don’t have to do to advance the story, thus they are easy to miss. Some of them are marked with yellow main mission markers, others with white Stranger Mission markers. However, what differentiates them from Stranger Missions is that the “Optional Story Missions” get added to your mission log (Pause Menu > Progress > Story). The “real” Stranger Missions aren’t needed for it. It’s worth noting that after beating the story you unlock some of these missions in the Story Log and can replay them for medals but that does NOT unlock the trophy! You have to do them in a normal playthrough, it doesn’t count via replay. The most important part: You have to play honorably from the start and reach Honor Level 4 of 8 in Story Chapter 6. That’s because the Chapter 6 optional mission “Do Not Seek Absolution” requires Honor Level 4 to be played. Refer to the Honor Guide for the best ways to increase honor. Tip: Catching and releasing fish is the best way and doing bounties. In Chapter 6 you gain +50% honor. Also follow the story decisions in the Honor Guide to gain ranks quickly. For an overview of All Story Missions in their correct unlock order, check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Walkthrough. Do make a manual save from time to time (Pause Menu > Story > Save Game). In case you missed something it allows you to jump back without having to start a new game from scratch. After each chapter, check your story log (Pause Menu > Progress > Story) and make sure it didn’t add any undone missions to the bottom of the list. By default, the game makes missed missions available for replay so this is how you can track if you missed something (again, playing them from the replay menu does not count). EASY TRICK TO UNLOCK THIS TROPHY IF YOU MISSED IT: In Patch 1.03 there is a lucky way to “cheat” the trophy if you missed it; After beating the story, replay the mission “Home Improvement for Beginners” (Epilogue) and the trophy unlocks instantly (regardless of how many honor missions you missed). This trophy is missable. You must complete 1 companion activity in Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4. The trophy will unlock in Chapter 4 (the camps in later chapters are not needed for this). Below is a list of all the activities for each chapter. Do note that only 1 per chapter is needed, not all of them! So pick whatever shows up for you. These activities won’t always be there. If they aren’t, advance the story or sleep in your tent and try at a different daytime. You can also keep track of your trophy progress in Rockstar Social Club after each one to see if it counted or not. Playing table games with gang members doesn’t count. This trophy unlocks by doing the Stranger Mission Questline “A Bright Bouncing Boy” given by Marco Dragic in Saint Denis. Step 1: Go to the starting location and do Marco’s first mission “A Bright Bouncing Boy – I”. You must have reached Chapter 4 and it’s only available at day.
Step 2: Sleep until night and Marco’s next mission should pop up in the top-right corner of the map “A Bright Bouncing Boy – II”. This is only available at night! If it doesn’t spawn right away, sleep a few more nights and make sure you got that part of the map uncovered. There you find a building with a big tower. The front door is closed but you can go through the backdoor and meet Marco Dragic inside. Then you have to help him put 3 rods in the ground to gather electricity from lightning.
Step 3: After 2 days return to Marco Dragic’s lab from the last quest. He will be dead on the floor and the trophy will pop. You can make a camp via the item wheel and sleep to advance time. After sleeping twice, you must wait 5 minutes (real time) before you can sleep again. As soon as you see Marco dead on the floor in his lab, the trophy unlocks. You can also pick up his electric lantern as a reward.

| Make sure you always loot dead bodies during the story. Some main mission targets keep over $100 with them. The average enemy only has a few cents, sometimes a few dollars. It’s gonna take a while but should unlock later into the story. Just be sure to loot everyone. | ||

In your camp you have a donation box only in Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4. Getting $250 is easy enough, you get well over $1000 from some story missions. To get this trophy you must donate $250 combined (not at once). You can also donate valuable items to the tithing box, which are acquired from looting dead enemies. These add towards the $250 as well. Do note, however, that donations from other gang members don’t count. You must put in $250 yourself. After Chapter 4 there is no tithing box anymore and this trophy becomes unobtainable. Be sure to do it before then. |

| First, you’ll want to amass $5000 (you get $20,000 automatically for completing the story). Then make a manual Save under Pause Menu > Story > Save Game. Now spend all your money at any type of shop (Stables and Gunsmiths are the fastest way to spend $5000). After the trophy pops, go back into Pause Menu > Story > Load Game and reload your manual save to get the money back. You can also make it work with ~$3500. Just go to a Stables, buy all horses and resell them immediately to get part of your money back. You can do the same tactic in General Stores and immediately sell back what you bought. |

| This trophy cannot be earned until you’ve completed Chapter 5 Main Mission “Paradise Mercifully Escaped”! Since there isn’t much to affect your honor in Chapter 5, the first realistic shot at this is in Chapter 6 or after beating the story (in Chapter 6 you gain +/- 50% Honor for all actions).
You can see your current honor by pressing Honor affects prices in stores and how some people react to you. If you want to unlock all outfits you should keep high honor as it’s a requirement to purchase certain outfits and to unlock certain optional missions. If you want to go the honorable route, catching and releasing fish adds a lot, and after the story you can replay daily quests at the Beecher’s Hope Farm. This is much more grindy than being evil though (also see the Honor Guide for other options). |

| Strangers are the givers of side quests. There are more than 10 of them (in total 26 of which 22 count towards this trophy). It only counts when you complete their full questlines from start to end (not just their first quest). They all give you a series of quests. You can still play their quests after the story. To keep track of your progress, check under Pause Menu > Progress > Total Completion > Strangers. The trophy unlocks later than it should for some reason. It can take 12+ stranger mission strands to pop it. Even if it says 10/10 in Rockstar Social Club, just keep doing more stranger questlines and it will unlock!

Bountiful Survive 3 days holding a bounty of $250 in all states. |

| Getting $250 bounty is quite easy. Go to the major towns and start shooting people. When the lawmen come, shoot them too. Repeat until you have $250 bounty on your head (as is displayed on the world map) and then ride to the next state.
There are 5 States in Red Dead Redemption 2:
During the story you only need to get a $250 bounty in the first 4 states. In New Austin you have $250 bounty automatically until reaching the Epilogue. After the story you must also get a bounty in the fifth state New Austin. The Bounty stays on your head permanently until you pay it off at the post office. You should create a Manual Save before doing this (Pause Menu > Story > Save Game). This is because you don’t want to lose your Honor Levels as it will lock you out of missions for the trophy “Lending a Hand” (complete all optional honor missions). The only tricky region is Ambarino because there are no towns there. Simply kill a random person, pack them on the back of your horse, ride to Ambarino and wait on the road until someone comes riding along. They will see the corpse and alert the Lawmen. Then 3 waves of Lawmen will come to hunt you down. Kill them and repeat the process. After you got $250 bounty in all 5 regions, you can sleep to skip time for 3 days. Sleep twice in a row, then you must wait 5-10 minutes (real time) before you can sleep again. Keep sleeping until the trophy unlocks. |

This is only possible in Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4. Make sure you get this before completing Chapter 4. While you’re at your gang’s camp, people will randomly come up to you and give you item requests of stuff they want. This is somewhat random so spend a lot of time in the camp and socialize with your crew to get more requests. You need to progress a little bit into Chapter 2 and play a main mission with each camp member so that more requests are offered to you. Luckily, there are much more than 5 requests. Below is a list of all requests with the chapters, request givers, and where to get the item. Do this as early as possible! Also, the requests are generally only given at day between 8:00 – 20:00. So don’t try this in the middle of the night. Some of the request items can be very random so stick to what’s straightforward and easy to locate. Chapter 2 (from 8:00 – 20:00):

Step 1: Finish the Story (complete Epilogue Part 2). Step 2: Do All 5 Hunting Requests for Ms. Hobbs (you can already start working on these as early as chapter 2 but the last one isn’t available until Epilogue Part 1). They are on Posters inside the Train Stations at the following towns: Valentine, Saint Denis, Rhodes, Van Horn, Strawberry, Armadillo. You go inside the train station where the post office is and look for the poster on the wall, pull it down to see the hunting request. It then gets added to your Satchel (hold Step 3: After completing 5 Hunting Requests, Ms. Hobbs sends you an invite to her hut (in the post office). It is in the top right of Strawberry. She will award you with the Squirrel Statue for your hard work! Step 4: Head to your farm Beecher’s Hope near Blackwater (only available after story, this is why you had to beat the story first). Step 5: Place the statue above the fireplace. Step 6: Advance time for one day and the statue should be gone (if not, advance time as often as you need). Someone in the house stole it. You must then find the statue again and put it back above the fireplace and repeat this procedure of sleeping and finding it again until you find it at its sixth location. After putting it back above the fireplace always sleep for 24 hours so it gets stolen again. The statue locations are as follows:

You can also make a camp via the item wheel, rest at the camp and craft things there. You earn some recipes automatically from the story, others are bought from fences, and yet others are automatically available after getting the meat of certain animals so you can cook it over the campfire. |

| There are 178 animals. You can keep track under Pause Menu > Progress > Compendium > Animals. You must kill and skin all of the skinnable ones (only about half of them can be skinned, i.e. the animals with pelts. Small animals and birds that can only be “collected” or “plucked” aren’t needed – but keep in mind that bigger birds are skinnable).
There is one missable lion from a stranger mission but it’s not needed because it doesn’t get added to the compendium. Grin and Bear it Survive 18 bear attacks and kill the bear each time in Story Mode. |

In the wilderness, when you encounter a bear you must let it grab you. Then quickly press  to escape before it instant-kills you. While you’re on the ground you have a short moment to shoot the bear. You must kill it during this phase. Always let the bear grab you, break free, kill it before getting back up.
Bears can spawn in many places but it’s a bit random. When you’ve found a bear spot, try farming it by sleeping to advance time (can make a camp via the item wheel). Pick a weapon that does a lot of damage and use express ammo (the best is the fully upgraded “Carbine Repeater” + Express ammo). We’ll go through it step by step. Step 1: Fully upgrade the weapon “Carbine Repeater” at a Gunsmith and buy Express ammo for it (also from Gunsmith). You get the Carbine Repeater automatically during Chapter 1. Equip the weapon so it’s ready to shoot and make sure you select the Express Ammo in weapon wheel. Step 2: Go to a bear hunting spot. 1) This here is the recommended spot (between Wallace Station & Watson’s Cabin):
Here are some alternative spots where bears may spawn: 2) Just east of the Legendary Bear hunting spot.
3) At Barrow Lagoon.
Bears spawn mostly in the morning or at noon. You can make a camp from the item wheel to advance time. Evening and Night is not recommended because of lower spawn rates. Step 3: Make sure you’re on foot, not on your horse. When the bear sees you, it will come charging right at you. This results in a mini QTE in which you must press Step 4: Farm the same spot. To do this, get away from the area (ride away for 30-60 seconds, the further you get away the better the chance the bear will respawn). Then make a camp from the item wheel and sleep for one day until morning or noon. Return to the spot and check for the bear. There’s roughly a ~30% chance for it to respawn. If it’s not there, blow yourself up with some dynamite and check again. If still nothing, either sleep again until it spawns or make a Manual Save > Exit Game > Continue (you find these options under Pause Menu, Story). Each time you exit and continue it cycles through the animal spawns in the area so this can help getting a new bear to spawn. If not, just sleep again. It can sometimes take 15-20 minutes of advancing time, blowing yourself up with dynamite and exiting the game. If you have absolutely no luck, move on to the next bear hunting spot. The rest is just repeating Step 4. Getting new bears to spawn and killing them with the Carbine Repeater + Express Ammo combo when they attack you (during the QTE sequence). You can keep track of your trophy progress in Rockstar Social Club! This whole ordeal will take 5-10 hours, due to the randomness of the bear spawn rates. |

Just play a lot in Free Roam and always accept these purple events when you get invited to them. You don’t need to win, just play the event to the end. |

| There are 425 Awards in Online Mode. You can view them and keep track of each one’s progress under Pause Menu > Awards > Select an Award Category. They are mostly just a sort of progression tracker for having done an action multiple times. You need the gold buckle in each one, which is the highest achievable tier (think of it as a gold medal). Now luckily, these aren’t hard at all, just time-consuming, and you only need 5 ouf 425 available awards!

The Real Deal Red Dead Online: Achieve MVP 3 times (in a round with at least 4 players). |

| To be the MVP (Most Valuable Player) you need to be the overall best performing player who gets featured at the end of the match. After each match there’s a short scene that shows who was MVP. Now generally that will be whoever had the highest score and was at the top of the leaderboard, but this isn’t always the case. For example, in the capture mode, even if you placed third on the scoreboard but you managed to make the most captures, you might still be displayed as the MVP. You also don’t necessarily have to be on the winning team, either (in team matches). If you were the individual who the game deems to have been the “most valuable” you will get featured at the end. Just try to get the highest overall score to increase the odds. What’s important is that there at least 4 players in the match, which will always be the case in public matches (you don’t need to be in a 4-player posse for it, just 4 total players in the match). This is the only skill-relevant online trophy for which you actually need to be a decent player, but on the way to Rank 50 it will very likely come naturally. It’s easier to do this in the standard Showdown Series as it has only 16 players (Large Showdown Series has 32 players). | ||

All’s Fair Red Dead Online: Successfully counter a rival Posse’s Free Roam mission. |

| In online free roam you will get notified when a rival Posse has started a Free Roam Mission near you. Stay close to towns where these mission icons are (and also check that there are posse leaders in the area, represented by a star-icon on the map whereas solo players are displayed as dots). Keep in mind that not every mission can be countered by rivals (especially the assassination missions). The ones from train stations work best for it so stay near those! E.g. wait around the train station of Valentine, Rhodes, Blackwater or Saint Denis (wherever the most posse leaders with a star-icon are). When a rival posse leader accepts such a mission you get a red on-screen notification to attack them. Your goal then is to prevent the enemy posse from completing their objective. If you succeed in doing this (causing the enemy to fail their mission), you will unlock the trophy. You are allowed to play solo yourself, you don’t have to be in a posse with other players for it to work. However, if another posse lands the final blow it won’t unlock, you have to do it (because multiple gangs can try to prevent the same mission it may give them the trophy but not you).

Go to your camp and talk to Cripps (after having finished the online tutorial). You need to look at Cripps with  and hold to see the camp improvements. Buy 5 of them. The easiest and cheapest option is to buy 5 different flag colors. Each costs $50 so that’s $250 total. The flag colors are unlocked from the start (after online tutorial). One player reported having to buy 5 flags at once to pop the trophy, without leaving the purchase menu (and that’s what I did too when I did it). So to be safe, it’s recommended you save up $250 first and buy 5 flags in a row without leaving the purchase menu. |

First you will need ammunition recipes. They can be bought from fences but require you to rank up first. You can then hold to Rest > to Craft >  to switch to ammunition. Craft 25 total pieces of any ammunitions. You can craft the same one multiple times (doesn’t have to be 25 different ones).

The difference between a Temporary and Persistent Posse is that the Persistent one costs $200 to open and acts as a permanent clan. The trophy pops instantly upon creating the posse, no need to invite any members to it. |

The easiest way is to cook animal meat over the camp’s fire. You can cook the same meat multiple times and each piece of meat will count towards the trophy (does NOT have to be 20 different types of “items”). So just go hunting and skin animals for their meat. Now head to your camp. If you forgot where it is, relocate your camp from the item wheel (hold  and select a new campsite near you). Head there, press over the campfire to start “crafting”. After cooking the meat be sure to eat it right away. For some reason it counts as 2 items crafted when you eat it (thus you only need 10 meat). If you stow it in your satchel it only counts as one item crafted, if you eat it counts as two items crafted.

Butchered Red Dead Online: Sell 20 items to the Butcher. |

| You can find Butchers in Valentine, Strawberry, Blackwater, Rhodes, Saint Denis, Tumbleweed. Kill animals in the wilderness and skin them. Then bring 20 animal loot to the Butcher and sell them to him. You can also bring him the skinned animal carcasses as they can be sold in addition to the skinned resources. You don’t have to sell him 20 different items. It can be the same item multiple times (e.g. some animals give you 3 x the same meat and each piece of meat counts towards this trophy).
Note: Make sure you skin the animals first, this gives you way more sellable items (multiple pieces of meat, feathers, skins, antlers etc.) than just selling the carcass in one piece! Most large animals give you 5-6 items so this can be done really quickly and the materials will be stored in your satchel until you sell them. For example, in Valentine, ride out of town, kill a bunch of animals, skin them, and sell everything to the Valentine Butcher (this trophy only takes 5 minutes). |

The trophy description for this is a bit misleading. You just need to pick any 25 plants in the wildneress, it doesn’t have to be “herbs”. Mushrooms, Berries, Flowers etc. also count for this. Any plant that you can pick up will add towards this trophy. To see them more easily, use eagle vision  +  . This will highlight plants with some blue “dust” around them. So just walk around and pick up any plant you come across.

In the beginning of the game when you enter your first camp. You can Go to dutch and he asks to get a pipe gor him.
Is it possible to get the pipe so ezelt in the game?
You know what would be really handy for “Lending a Hand”, a list of final missions for each chapter so you cant accidentally finish the last mission for your current chapter.

Regarding Chapter 6 : ‘Of Angels and Men’ when does this pop up? I’ve tried loading previous saves at various points in chapter 6, sleeping for days, waiting for days.
Also tried visiting the area, after ive finished the story hoping to see it. No luck.
Can you confirm its only available in chapter 6? And when/ how to start?

I think you should remove the pigs from the Guarma list because they can also be found on the mainland, at least thats says in their description. You should check out on the cuban land crab as well, I’m personally not sure if you can find it on the mainland but I’m stuck on Guarma because of the Fer-De-Lance Snake wich seems to be the most bugged animals in the entire game.

Do keep in mind some strangers only show up at day or at night. So trying at a different daytime can fix this.
will I be able to get the platinum because my legendary bison glitched and i wasn`t able to skin it so do I have to start a second playtrough and skin all the animals again?
The 6th and last location of the squirrel statue (it’s art trophy) is at the top of mount shann.
What really sucks is I invested tons of hours roaming and doing side objectives, when literally an hour ago I find out about the missing campers glitch! I looked at what caused it and somehow my game did it without all that. Had no idea! Mine is worse then what is stated! Charles isn’t there to hunt. John and whole family is gone. Only companion I can do is lenny’s five finger filet! Now he is gone cause of randomness. I refuse to restart and lose 20 hours of gameplay. If lennys 5 finger filet doesnt count I have to wait for rockstar to patch the game! Time to finally play shadow of the tomb raider!

thought i’d share with you what i did for the grin and bear it trophy, it took me about an hour and a half to get all 18 survival kills.
go to your recommended spot (no1)
camp, sleep twice, save game, exit game (through story menu) & reload game will allow you to sleep again. then sleep twice (on second sleep, sleep till morning or noon) the bear will spawn in the area.
this was taking me 4-5 minutes, to find and kill a bear. & it always spawned too.
about half way throough i found it spawns most frequently near a chimney (to the left of the wallace station name on the map. & if you kill the bear , save and exit, upon reloading it spawns your camp right near the chimney, so i’d often load up after that 4th sleep and look to my right and see a bear. it was making it about 3 mins each time.
give this a shot yourself, if it works for you too, that turns a 5-10 hour trophy into an hour and a half one.

Im pretty sure 100% completion is missable for bounties if you mess up. All bounties held by the player in chapter 6 not finished are lost if not completed in that chapter
I could do all bounties just fine after the story. However, I had not accepted them before. Can’t you just accept them again or maybe they are still in your satchel and can be read again? There are also more than the 5 bounties that you need for 100%.
No. Wanted posters are removed from your satchel after chapter 6 if you have any and they seem to not come back. In fact it seems no more posters are spawning. Stuck at 3\5

Can The real deal MVP 3 times be boosted in anyway or form
I’ve trying to 100% the game and noticed that I’m full health, stamina and dead eye but it’s not checked off on the completion list. Do you know why?
Lending a hand trophy. Got this trophy following the guide. But missed brothers and sisters all in one, chapter 6! Shit myself on second play through. Then did the SA mission and trophy popped. I also nearly didn’t do this mission, because I was going to give up after realising I missed one! Lucky I didn’t!
What makes this a 6/10 difficulty in your opinion? What are the harder tasks?
The gold medals (see “Hardest Trophy” in Roadmap).
For gold medals you must do ALL requirements in one playthrough of the mission. Some have 6 tasks. No way will you get all 70 gold on first run. Will take 2-4 tries with most missions.
Animal spawns are also somewhat random so getting all 178 of them will take some luck and patience.
You will get the trophy for the legendary fish (automatically) if you follow the hunting quests (side quest) for the veteran with one leg. Forgot his name. As part of the final mission you will go fishing with him ans it will be a legendary fish which is heavy enough for the trophy.

I just want to be sure for the trophie “Friends With Benefits” if I understand this, in chapters 2,3 and 4 i need just complete 1 activy no all of them in that chapter. for example if I do in chapter 3 Sean activity I dont need to Bill activity aswell and i will get trophie? If I will repeat this steps in other chapters
Only ONE activity per chapter is needed (NOT all of them).
So you do:
1 x activity Chapter 2
1 x activity Chapter 3
1 x activity Chapter 4
It can be any one of the listed activities so you can choose whatever is available.

I’ve spent over 100 hours so far and not even close, but for you guys it will be faster with guide.
Story is roughly 60h with moderate exploration (for me it took around 40h gameplay and 10h cutscenes but I rushed it).
Then for gold medals you gotta replay missions a few times. Some gold medals will take multiple tries, but you don’t have to ride to the mission (can start it directly from quest log). Maybe 30-40h for that, depends on how many you got on first try. So far that’s roughly 100h.
Now comes the collectibles. The map is HUGE and riding from one piece to the next takes a while.
Now comes the worst part: animals and legendary fish. The animals are somewhat random (but have defined living spaces where they can spawn). Also the 18 bear attacks, missable trophies, hunting requests, exotics quests, stranger quests, 90 challenges, robberies… the exploration part takes 100h.
So we have 100h story + medals & 100h for the rest.
=200h.
I know this is late, but I recently finished every single player trophy, and my Rockstar account states I played 155 hours. I know that I could have got it done quicker if I would have used a guide from the beginning. The first half of this was me just exploring animals and herbs and all other collectibles on my own. If you use a guide from the start, I think this could be completed in about 120-130 hours. Now the multiplayer on the other hand is a royal pain since the XP glitch was patched. I have been playing for 10 days at roughly 3 hours per day and am only at level 20. it looks like i’m going to need another 30 days or so at the same amount of time per day to get to level 50, so I’m going to estimate online as roughly 120 hours. I’m going to be over 270 hours when all is said and done for platinum. Thanks.
Okay so finally got the platinum this morning. Started the game on 11/13/18 and finished on 3/26/19 averaging about 1.6 hours per day every day. The single player took me 155 hours and the multiplayer took me 65 hours for a total of 220 hours. I did not use any glitches or bugs. Thank you Powerpyx for all of your help with achieving this. If anyone else needs help with any trophies feel free to add me (dro2020) and I can provide my tips.

I have 2 questions though;
1. It says you have to donate $250 combined (not in one go), does that mean you can donate i.e. 200+50 for the trophy?
2. You say that only 50/178 animals are needed for 100%, but in the trophy description it says to skin all 178 animals. Which one is correct?
1. correct, you can also donate 5 x $50 (or whatever other small amounts)
2. The trophies for 178 animals go beyond 100%. So you have a 100% trophy but in the checklist the tasks are very forgiving and not require full completion at all. I explain it in more depth in the 100% guide (if you want to take a look), but basically, you only need a fraction of everything for 100% (it’s more like a tutorial for doing every task a few times). Only thing you need everything of for 100% is the collectibles.
So for 100% trophy only 50 animals. For the other 2 trophies you need ALL animals. Hope that makes more sense now 🙂

It depends what you do with the inhabitants. Killing them does lower your honor.
But going sneaky / non-lethal will be fine. If they don’t notice you robbed them there’s no deduction in honor. Do keep a manual save before each homestead, just in case.

This platin is gonna be a tough one for me, but i like the challange. What pisses me of tho is the fact, that you have to be honorable to get the Trophy. This is such a pain in the ass, because you are not allowed to play the game as you wish. I can´t understand why a developer would implement such a thing is a game like this. *sigh*

I don’t mind challenging trophies that test my skills, but MISSABLE trophies in a 200+ hour long game? And trophies that force you to play a certain way, even though you may not enjoy it? That’s cheap.

I agree with you. I just started trophy hunting and I always enjoy finishing the story and later get the trophies I need. This needs me to constantly follow a guide. Also, they don’t say what’s needed to get a gold star for the missions and replaying missions are harder (basic weapons, difficulty increased, or so I have read) So basically I need to read a list which might spoil the mission or do a manual save and go replay it again before moving forward after seeing the checklist at the end of the mission. Yesterday I spent 1 hour replaying 2 missions in chapter 1, instead I could have just played the story much longer. Guess I might just enjoy this game

Hi, maybe I’m retarded but what do roman numerals mean in the Lending a Hand guide?
The quests are broken down into multiple parts. So you first get money lending quest I (#1) then the next mission is called the same but with different roman number II (#2), III (#3) and so on.
Can you confirm that Money Lending and Other Sins I and II don’t get added to the mission log? I remember doing I and can’t recall doing II (was it a cut scene?) and did III but only III is in the mission log.

I believe two of them were just cutscenes so yes those wouldn’t get added because they’re not replayable.
For the money lending mission with LS, do you need to do all three marked locations at once? I did one, returned the debt to the camp and got LS Quest III but I haven’t gotten I or II yet?
Yes you must do all 3 money lending objectives.
But some cutscenes count as mission hence you won’t see all of them in questlog.
Ugh why must there be multiplayer related trophies.
Weird choice to have miss-able trophies in a game of this size but oh well.
I am concerned the gold trophies will affect my enjoyment of the game. Have you been going for the 70 golds throughout your play through or leaving them after you have completed the story?

I am in chapter 2 and i played some story missions but i only unlocked the mission Money “Lending and Other Sins”. Have i simply play the other missions and look after every mission on the map for the other missable story missions? Or is there a order i have to play the other non missable story missions to unlock the missable one?

I have one question I’m really stock with errand boy trophy ,you said that the gang members will approach you asking for favors ,but I spent a lot of time at camp and nobody came to me asking for anything am I doing something wrong??
How far into the game are you? If you’re very early in Chapter 2 you need to do a few more missions so you get to know them all in their main missions, then they will approach you with favors.

However, I’ve done a few dishonourable things (such as shooting the 3 guards on the train in the first train robbery). If I try to be as honourable as possible from here on in and donate a lot to the camp box, should i be ok to have level 4/8 by chapter six so that i can do that mission that requires good honour?
You’ll probably be fine. Just don’t overdo the dishonorable things as it’s hard to get back to honorable from it. Early on you still have a lot of opportunities to make up for the dishonorable decisions.
For the killing and skinning of animals are you sure it’s all 178? It seems that some animals, for example horses, can be studied but don’t need to be killed.
The official guide says every species, so it may not be all 178, though you probably still have to study every single type. Of course, until it happens, we won’t know for sure.
Still, I’ll probably be killing and skinning everything I possibly can, so don’t think it’ll matter too much either way. LOL
Do we need to do the Lending a Hand missions in that exact order?
Cuz I found that second (bounty) mission at the start of Chapter 2 but I still havent seen LS. Is that a problem, or are they not related an can be done when I proges?
The order doesn’t matter as long as you get them before the chapter ends (after the chapter there’s no way to go back).
How do I check errands I have been tasked with? I know I have had a few characters ask for an item, but I cannot remember which ones.
WARNING!! There is a FIFTH missable achievement called “Breaking and Entering” two of the robberies are time sensitive
One from Javier , available during chapter 2 and 3 and a home robbery given Sean only available during chapter 3.
It’s not missable. I can confirm you do not need them. However if you do them, they do in fact count towards it. I tested it and got the trophy/achievement without relying on either Sean or Javier.
Im going off of the guide, which list it along with the other 4 trophies here.
So in Chapter 2, you say we must complete Money Lending and Other Sins (I, II, III). I never saw part II of that quest. Only the first part when you pick 1 of 3 targets and then the part where you go after Thomas Downes which is part III. Is there actually a quest called Money Lending and Other Sins – II ?
II was just a cutscene. Some cutscenes count as entire quests in this game.
Do the chapters have timers? Like, if I want to complete the trophy where I have to do all the honor missions, do I have to complete them in a certain time or does the chapter end by progressing the story? My plan would be to do ALL the honorable missions first as to make sure I don’t miss them THEN do everything else. Is this possible?
By missions chapter 2 and 3 end in the main town your near (chapter 2 is a marston quest i dont remember what 3s was and i haven’t finished 4 yet)

I got most of my requests in chapter 3 also i only ever had one going at once so make sure you finish any outstanding errands first

I have a question about the “Money Lending and Other Sins” missions. I only got money from 1 of 3 persons and then returned back to the camp to donate the money. (Because I didn’t know I had to visit all 3 persons before returning to the camp) I then completed the mission with Downes and realised I had to visit the 2 other persons. So i looked on the map, and there is 2 places on the map with white fog and a dollar sign, where the last 2 persons are. The “Money Lending and Other Dins III” is already in my mission log. So my question is, can I go to those 2 places and get the money from them and then it will still count? Or did I have to do all 3 in the mission?
I have the exact same problem. I printed the checklist before PP revised this section and collected only 1 of 3 xD

yea. i finished the game to not get the trophy. On second playthrough doing everything including the home robberies that show up at camp. might trigger it. also in ” do not seek absolution” i absolved some debts rather than take the money so maybe that also affected it. hope this helps you

I did the Money Lending and Other Sins mission in chapter 3 and talked to the 2 debors and I put the money from both in the tithing box, but in the progress tab it doesn’t show ” Money Lending and Other Sins (IV)” under chapter 3?

Thank you for posting this! The same thing happened to me and I’m worried its going to keep me from getting the associated trophy and platinum.
Got both bounties-returned the pelt for cash and exchanged diamond broach for cash; returned all debts to the box but the mission is not showing as completed or active in log.
If there is confirmation this is a bug Rockstar will patch or not I would appreciate it. I’m worried about progressing past chapter 3
Platinums like this one aren’t worth going for. Trophies that force you to play a certain way defeat the purpose of a game like this.
That’s what I was telling one of my friend. it’s almost impossible to get a gold medal on your first run they literally want you to re play the missions. I’ll just try to knock out the missable ones and see where I honestly from there
Not 100% sure you have to kill every single solitary animal for Skin Deep. The guide says you have to kill every species and it says the list starts on a certain page. The list has bear, bison, snake, etc. So maybe you just have to skin one of each type of animal rather than everything. Well, it’ll be found out soon enough. 🙂

its not called the dreadful book. theres a book you pick up in the 5 locations that will count.
I found it at the location east of the emerald ranch. I just can’t find Jack at the camp to return the book.

This is excactly the same thing that happened to me. Don’t know where they are after I get their items, and return to the camp its like they dissappeared…

Killing law and bounty hunters is fine (provided your wanted) , killing random civilians will lose honor
HELP WITH FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS I did an activity in each camp I went to do the last one in the camp of chapter 4 and the trophy did not show, I have 1 Save game in each camp if I load the Savé of each camp and do the activity in each one would be that would work?

You need to do Robberies/Hunting/Fishing companion missions. Any of the games does not count toward the trophy.

On xbox I have 90% towards the Optional story missions. And all my chapters have no missing missions on the bottom. Is there some like unmissable mission in the epilogue that will trigger the last I need?

I did every single mission on the full walkthrough of chapter 1-6 and all missions lending a hand tells me to do. And it didn’t unlock for me. i checked all missions 3 times and there’s none missing. There must be a mission missing on that list or something. Fudge, why add missables to a masterpiece.

I’ve not finished the epilogue yet, but on Psnprofiles i see people getting the trophy even before finishing chapter 6. Looked up on Social Club, says i have 90% progression just like a guy 2 comments above me. I hope finishing the epilogue will get me to 100%. im almost 100% sure I’ve done all missions pointed out.
There’s a mission called “Of Men and Angels” in Chapter 6 that doesn’t get added to the missions list, it’s just a quick donation mission in Saint Denis at Church. Can you try doing that and let me know if it unlocks the trophy? It’s not a real mission so I don’t think it counts but that would be my only idea.

Same. I think this game is buggy with saves. I have all the missions in my progress tab. And all my Debt collectors are crossed out in my letters.
I absolved twice, why would you take money from people with no money that got tricked into a loan. Same as ricky, the debt collectors will still be crossed out. The last one at annesburg doesn’t even have any money to give you iirc. the man who took the loan died. Its either a glitchy trophy. or its that ”Of men and angels” mission. We need someone that has the trophy to confirm stuff. Would really be weird if absolving locks you out.
Okay absolving does not lock it. I just checked with some friends who absolved and they got the trophy just fine. That definitely doesn’t matter.
I have just finished the game. I have every mission on social club but trophy is still at %90. It really sucks.
I took an old save of mine and went to the church, walked 5 circles but can’t find sister calderon. Maybe i haven’t done enough missions or its not the right time of the day. Do you know anything about this?
Thos list her states that you need to complete “Of Men and Angels – I & II” also to get the “Lending A Hand”-trophy, but it doesn’t so say so in this list. If it’s true that you need this Honor mission too, I’m gonna jump off a cliff…I’ve just completed all optional honor missions on this list, and the trophy hasn’t popped yet…

Absolving doesn’t matter, this is 100% confirmed. You get the trophy regardless.

Guys, don’t worry. The mission isn’t supposed to show up in the mission log as it doesn’t award any medals. If you finish the chapter and go to your “story” tab in the social club, you’ll see you will have 17/17 missions and this one ain’t one of them. As for those reporting having only 90% at the end… I have no idea
Thank you for the answer Ruben. I have another worry about the same mission though. At the start, I collected one debt then went to camp, deposited the money and after that went to the last guy who doesn’t have the money and the mission registered as completed in the log (before actually taking the other two debts) I went on to take them afterwards, but am afraid that this make lock me put of the trophy.
Can you do everything apart from the missable trophies after the story?
I dont think the 5 dollars for abigail counts for the errand boy trophy as i did 5 including that and it didn’t pop (and thats the only one that didn’t say item request on the left for me) just a heads up
I can confirm this. I did 5 requests including the 5 dollar request from Abigail and the trophy didn’t pop. I got the trophy after doing another request.
For “Friends With Benefits”: if you play poker or domino just pressing square while near table but there is no companion here waiting does it still count for this trophy? Or do you need a companion sitting at table and asking for a match?

I can confirm you MUST do “Of Men and Angels (I, II)” for “Lending a Hand”. I have beaten the story with your unupdated guide but i did not get the Lending a Hand. Luckily I had a save somewhere in Chapter 6, I completed “Of Men and Angels (I, II)” then did “Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow (I, II)” and i got the trophy.

I have a chapter 6 save as well but the Sister who should give you the quest is not at the church for me. Which main mission was the last one you did, i need to plant the bombs with micah for my next one. And what time was it? Also was it indicated as a mission or just a greeting?
Seems you must do the Of men and angels one quick before she moves out in this mission where you bring Captain Monroe to the train and you meet her.
Of course, you must do it before letting her go. How come you meet her on church if she leaves?

It’s looks like the “Western Stranger” trophy is buggy. When I go to settings I can see that I have completed 10 out 10 strangers mission. But the trophy is not here.
On PSNProfiles nobody got the trophy too. Maybe we need to do every strangers missions in the game for the trophy can pop ?
It seems to unlock later than it should or some stranger mission strands don’t count properly. You can check your trophy progress in Rockstar Social Club. Just keep doing more stranger quests and it will unlock. It’s obtainable, just requires more strangers.
I am pretty sure the tracker in total completion only requires you to meet 10 of the strangers because I had 10/10 on the second day of playing this game, but the trophy requires you to finish 10 full questlines so it will unlock much later. Sometimes its far from obvious when a questline is finished.
I have done Money lending and other sins VI on ch3 but does not show in the list of completed missions under Ch3? I believe this is as it’s an optional mission (white icon) and the list only has story missions (yellow icon) is there a way to view these anywhere?

And I’ve completed Money Lending and Other Sins IV in ch. 3 but this one isn’t showing up. In the guide it says its needed for the trophy. Will it count even if it isn’t showing up?
i can confirm it does count if they don’t show up. just keep a personal checklist for yourself when going through this. some missions are just cutscenes.

Correct, those are not needed. When you complete the story it automatically checks off “all story missions” in your log, doesn’t matter if you skipped all the missables.

And have you got a list on what animals are exclusive to chapter 5?

i completed more than 10 full quest lines for strangers and still got no trophie pop for that. It is glitched? I still have more strangers quest to complete so i hope i pop after few …

For Zoologist and Skin Deep, you only need 1 animal for species, around a total of 80 animals.
I’ve the italian version of the game, in the trophy description explain exactly 1 animal for species in both trophies.
Could be true and would answer the question why my completion percentage is higher than the calculated amount. I’ve tried multiple calculations (w and w/o legendarys, w and w/o horses, even fish) but nothing worked…
On the other hand, it can’t be true, because i’ve researched and killed multiple birds, and Zoologist increased by 1% after 2 animals. But because of rounding, you can’t guess the maximum number .
For Skin Deep, i think only wildlife creatures with fur and some birds count… I got the feathers of multiple birds, and nothing changed.
Looking the official guide i see that only 80 species of animal are listed (es. Squirrel is only one, you can find red-black-grey squirrel in the game but is the same species, Alligator is the same, you can find baby Alligator, big Alligator ecc…is the same species)….80 without Horses and Fishes. Unfortunately the guide only says to study and skin one animal for species and says to refer to the list that count 80 animals. In Guarama looks like only 2 species are unique for this zone, Sula (is a bird, i don’t know the english name) and Parrot.

For “Pouring Forth Oil,” I can’t seem to trigger to this mission. However I just read that you need to have bad honor to trigger it, and I have a decent amount of positive honor in Chapter 2 right now. Is there a workaround for this? Is this really required for Lending a Hand lol? Hope I’m not screwed.
You definitely don’t need bad honor to start this mission.
Where’s the letter for The Course of True Love IV and V in chapter 6? Looking in the “tent” which is the rundown shack but don’t see it anywhere
Ok I may of figured out that skin deep doesnt required all animals. I just checked my social club for the progress for both trophies and skin deep is at 28% while zoologist is at 29%. I counted how many I have skinned vs how many I have studied. I have skinned 28 animals and studied 46. So no way that equals a 1% difference. I also think that some animals are required for zoologist because 46 isn’t 29% of 178 51 is. That means guarma could not be required since it says all states in the trophy list but this is all just a theory and I could be totally wrong.
I have the same feeling… since the trophy description says “in all states” and Guarama is not a state those might not be needed. Thing is, we won’t know for sure until someone gets the trophy without the chapter 5 animals. It’s gonna take a week or so to confirm this.

I actually think it may be the legendary animals that dont count for either trophy. Since I killed 2 skinned/studied them both and my percentage never went up on the trophies and they are part of the 178. Plus I also think animals that you can only skin count towards skin deep since I plucked a couple of birds and it never went up.
Just did the math and I took away the 16 from the 178. And then did the percentage of 57% of 162 of which I have studied so far and that equal 92 of which is how many animals I have studied. So this means that guarma animals most likely do count
Ok, “Money Lending and Other Sins – III” shows as completed in the story/chapter 2 section in the game. I know I completed it, did all the debt collections, etc. I then moved on to chapter 3. However, On the Rockstar Social Club it shows as the only mission from chapter 2 that was not completed. On Social Club, it says 17 of 18 complete in chapter 2 and this mission is not there. Just a blank spot where it should be. Additionally, on the Social Club under “Trophies”, it does not give me a percentage complete for the Lending a Hand trophy. That trophy is greyed out while others do give me a percentage complete. I’m thinking I’ve missed out on this trophy and unfortunately, at this point my only option is to start the game from the beginning : ( What do you guys think?

No. Just completing the story will be enough. Missable missions not needed for 100%.
Hi, on your Story Mission Walkthrough, is the last mission listed on each chapter the mission that would complete the chapter, for example “Chapter 3” “The Battle of Shady Belle” would doing this trigger end of chapter 3. Thanks
I have a question regarding side quest called he is british, that requires to find and bring back zebra, tiger and lion to broken caravans, i have not study those animals, and as far as i know there is no way to restart this side mission, so i wonder are these animals missable for animal list of 178 animals.
Kinda spoilery but:
They aren’t actual animals. They are just costumes (e.g. the “lion” is a dog in a costume). So those don’t count I’m pretty sure.
Can anyone confirm if there’s a way to check which errands you have already been tasked with/in progress? I’ve been approached a couple times by people in the camp but I don’t remember what they wanted….
If you press the left directional button (D-pad) if will bring up a list of collectibles and miscellaneous objectives which are currently outstanding.
Pressing left on the d-pad gives you a list of errands in progress.

Just a little tips you should already know: I have replayed a mission in Chapter 5 and I have be able to study pelicans and it was saved in progress even after replay finished and back in freeroam. I am not at home for days but if someone want to waste some hours to find if parrots and booby can be studied and skinned in any mission of Chapter 5 it will confirm that the trophies are not missable.
I don’t know if animals in missions are scripted or not but it’s worth a try.
You can’t explore the full chapter 5 island in main missions so replay won’t work for it.
Do the Honour Missions unlock after you played a chapter? Because I got every mission from chapter 2 (although in a different order) and didn’t play honourable. And is it still possible to save my honour and play honourable for the rest and boost it so I can do all the other ones?
For the “Skin Deep” trophy, do you also have to skin animals like pigs that don’t have the skinned progression in the compendium?
please help me, I’m sure it completes all optional missions but the trophy “lending a hand” did not come. Is it for him I saw after completing all the optional missions or do I need to do something else to unlock this trophy?

I just found out there is one more missable quest in chapter 3. At least I think it is missable. I had Horse Flesh for Dinner (John), The Fine Joys of Tobacco (Hosea) and Magicians for Sport (Dutch). Even though quest from John and Hosea appeared earlier I went for Dutch quest and I have noticed that The Fine Joys of Tobacco (Hosea) disappeared from the map after completing Magicians for Sport (Dutch).
Not sure if it would pop on the map again but I didn’t want to push my luck, reloaded a save and went for John’s quest first, and after competing that quest I still have Hosea and Dutch quest on the map.
So if I am right The Fine Joys of Tobacco (Hosea) quest might be missable if you do Magicians for Sport (Dutch) before that.

to all those missing the ” lending a hand trophy ” after playing good and honorbly for the entire game. theres a mission in saint denis that pops up called “idealism and pragmatism for beginners I ” This is marked on the map as a HL and must certainly be a optional honor mission too.
It’s a stranger mission. Are you sure this counts? It’s filed as a stranger quest and no other stranger mission counts.
I can confirm this quest don’t count for the trophy.

It’s in progress. Will take a week or so, too many and all random spawns. Until someone gets the animal trophies we won’t know if they count. Nobody knows for sure right now.
Playing poker, domioes or fff does not count towards Friends With Benefits trophy. I played a game of poker at the start of chapter 4 in camp and didn’t get it, but i got it right after i completed a tobbery. It has to be Hunting/Fishing/Robbery companion missions.
FYI i did a real companion activity in all other camps 1 robbery in each aswell as fishing ang games. But the poker game or the domino game in chapter 4 did not pop the trophy. Only after i did a robbery did it pop. Meaning the games you can do in camp does not count toward the Friends With Benefit trophy.
I have done only a fff activity in chapter 2 and I have got the trophy.
ok guys i just got my ” lending a hand ” trophy so thought i would drop a guide on it. do every mission thats listed in here. but be sure to absolve debts in chapter 6, make sure you dont kill the guards in missions for some because you will lose honor. in one mission you will have a guard as hostage. dont kill him when the shootout takes place. do every mission listed and good luck. this will get you the trophy. I had to play through it all again just to get it 🙂
When did the trophy unlock for you? Just after completing the last optional story mission?

I think studying all animals is missable. because I went to hunt legendary buck, and then bounty hunters came after me and the hunt was interrupted and the buck died on it’s own, now i can’t get to kill legendary buck anymore so studying it to 100% isn’t possible anymore.

So you never got to kill the legendary animal? And now it’s not in your compendium? That’s a huge oversight by the devs.
I has a similar issue with the legendary Bison, it died in a lake and I couldn’t study or skin it. However if you sleep for a couple of days the corspe will decompose and then your compendium will automatically update as though you have skinned and studied the animal, and you can get the relevant talismans/trinkets from the trapper, you just miss out on the cash from selling it.
Hi can you confirm that money lending and other sins 4 & 5 don’t show up on the mission lists for chapter 3 & 4? I have completed the side missions yet I don’t see them on the list unlike 2&3 which are shown in chapter 2 mission list. I noticed a lot of people with same issue but none of them have a response.
They do not show up. If you follow the guide you’ll be good.
Hi experiencing trouble with “Errand Boy”. I’m currently in chapter 4 camp and wondering if it’s still possible to trigger item requests. I only had four, and one disappeared after certain *spoilers*, so i still need to trigger two more requests. Have been socializing/greeting for a few days now, so i guess ill just progress :(. If there’s any solution/confirmation about chapter 4 triggers, please I appreciate the help.
The three that are complete now are Jack-Penny Dreadful, Susan-oregano, Sadie- harmonica.

Thanks for the responses. I must be very unlucky because i couldn’t get any remaining to trigger in chapter 4. Kept coming to camp after missions and nothing. Since they’re not needed for 100% play through, I just loaded an old save chapter 3 and got all 5 done fairly quickly.
I want to complete the money lending mission in chapter 4 but there’s a lock on Gwyn Hughes and Winton Holmes missions. If I go to their locations, it says that I can’t do them because of my recent crimes and I should come back later. This has been going for a while now. I’m afraid to finish the chapter without completing them. Any one has the same issue?
I have the same issue even though I previously completed the requirements for Gwen Hughes etc. I think this is a big tbh
I’d save them continue the game to see if it unlocks as I’ve spoke to a few others with similar problems and they have the trophy. I have saved my progress and fingers crossed I will get the trophy, hope you do too!

Not necessarily. It’s just the usual unlock order these mission become available. But depending on what main missions you did first they might pop up in different order. You just gotta do all of ’em before the end of their chapter.

Ok I think I can confirm that the guarma snakes arent needed for skin deep if anyone can confirm that there is a western moose in the game (not western bull moose) and a florida panther. Since I’m at 94% and still have to skin a silver fox that should put it at like 98% if those animals are actual in the game. Which I think they are just cant find them. Zoologist I’m at 90% and still need time to confirm if that is or not
Ok I just saw a list of all animals on psn profiles and can confirm those animals the western moose and florida panther are in the game. Also saw a reddish egret which i dont have so with those 3 and a silver fox that I need it would put me at 100% and I dont have any of the guarma snakes
“Lending a Hand” just popped for me during the end credits at the same time as the final story achievement. I was at 90% in the achievement tracker for it before finishing the story, having only missed doing the “Good, Honest, Snake Oil” mission in chapter 2. The tile for that mission on rockstar social club also unlocked, even though I never did it.
It’s about time you change the requirement for Single player 200+ hours to even more because it’s just crazy how much we have to do

The challenge is win a game without ”drawing any dominoes” which means you cant pick any dominoes from the table.
Ok I got the skin deep trophy without the guarma animals. Will work on zoologist later. I’m at 93% for that.
What’s your PSN? Also, for Skin Deep did you have to skin each sub-species, or only 1 of each species? I.e. 1 pig, 1 bear, etc.

That’s great news, I had wonder around for some hours but couldn’t find anything(on my initial playthrough I did see a few parrots but then I reload my saves a few times, afterwards there are no animals not sure if is a glitch or something that they just don’t spawn)

I skinned every animal that had a skin option since that’s the only time the percentage went up on rockstar social club. Plucked and collecting never counted. Also at 98% for zoologist now and still need a husky, carolina parakeet and a devon bull. I did study two parrots in guarma and I’m not sure if that counted to my percentage or not
Found his profile he does have the trophy but could you show proof you didn’t get guarma animals?
I now have zoologist. I didnt need to get the Carolina parakeet though so maybe the two parrots in guarma I studied actually counted. I cant confirm this but maybe people who got the guarma animals might need less mainland animals or the parakeet just doesnt count
He has definetly got the trophy, as he posted on ankther site and i checked his trophy list. And he has over 300 platinums so he’s not lieing.
Really wish you would have posted that “of men and angels” Needs to be finished before sister Calderon leaves for mexico. Wasted about 2-3 hours and have to reload an older save.
There is a linked mission list which shows all main missions in their correct order. So this is pointed out already.
I would like to know, why you put china pig and old pig on the chapter 5 animals list, if china pig and old pig are not Guarma animals, i have found them in regular gameplay world long time before i found them on guarma.
Some of them may show up in other places too. These are just all that can show up on Guarma. Which ones can also spawn in other places is still being figured out. I just included them all to be safe.
To be honnest there are way more to discover there, but they are not guarma ones, i have encountered west frog, brown pelicans, chickens, donkey, sheep, about three more bird species, but i dont feel like they are worth mention, since those are not guarma ones.

It has been figured out. You don’t need the animals in chapter 5. Someone a few comments above has got the trophy and confirmed it.
After the mission “A rage unleashed” in Chapter 6, Charles will ask you if you can check on Rains Fall and you will unlock the mission “Archeology for beginners”. I accidently pressed No on his request, is there any way to trigger the mission anyway? Its the last I need for the “Lending a Hand” trophy. Otherwise, the only option might be to use an old save and get it back?
You have to reload old save.
Does anybody know if the dlc counts for lending a hand and 100%? On my social club site it says im missing a story mission which is the dlc mission bank robbery that shows up in chapter 4. Is this needed for lending a hand and 100% completion?
No it’s not needed. That mission is a companion mission. Very missable too.
I am seriously worried about Skin Deep because i killed the legendary elk but it was stuck in a lake and i was unable to skin the body.. Now the compendium says i have not it skinned.. That would be seriously frustrating..
I think as long as you skin another elk since it’s the same species you should be fine. When I skinned the legendary wolf, my progression for skin deep didn’t change because I had already skinned regular wolves. Hope that helps

I found all 3 types of pig (Berkshire, old spot & big China) at Downes Ranch near Valentine.
The dog directly after Catahoula Cur is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Can’t remember exactly where I found it, but it was in chapter 2, compendium says “can be found at ranches, homesteads, train stations and towns across New hanover”

Can be in Freeroam, if you get a stranger quest. sometimes they will give you hints about robberies but you can also go to the station after a certain point to talk about another type of robbery too. press left on Dpad to show the logs of the “item requests” missions done” and” Tasks left “

no, you need to play games in the camps. you can play dominoe’s with Tilly or Five finger fillet. just keep sleeping til you get the person to appear to play.
The “No Traitors” trophy is “glitched” but not in a bad way. I unlocked it before ending chapter 5. It popped for me after replaying a stranger mission called “Do not seek absolution – II”. I finished that quest earlier today but stopped playing. I just replayed the mission once I loaded up the game via the progress replay. After I completed the replay the trophy popped out of nowhere.
I’m at the beginning of chapter 6 but i haven’t unlock “NoTraitors” trophy. I suppose is a glitch and i don’t know how to get it. Already done “Do not seek absolution – II” and other secondary missions but trophy is not unlocking…Any suggestions?

In the stranger quest where you have to find the zebra, tiger, lion.. it turns out the last animal is actually a lion. Does the lion count towards zoologist or no?
It’s just a dog in a lion costume, not an actual lion. So no, doesn’t count – the game is just playing a joke with this whole quest.
The first “lion”, yes. But then there’s a lion in emerald ranch.. It makes you think it’s a dog, but turns out it’s an actual lion. You get a lion paw trophy out of it.
Ah that one doesn’t get added to the compendium so no worries, it doesn’t affect the animal trophies, doesn’t count. Only the animals in compendium count.
I thought about that too but I’m pretty sure you didn’t have any chance to study it and you couldn’t skin it. So I don’t think it counts.
Green iguana, and Cuban land crab are definitely not missable. I just got them in chapter 3, on the large island in flat iron lake that is directly across the water from where your canoe is stored in camp. (the island with the small shipwreck)
Hi All, to everyone going for the Gold Rush Trophy, ( 70 gold medals in story missions) you don’t need all requirements in one playthrough. you can do lets say. just headshots. then next replay you can work on another part of the requirement like Catch an hogtie within 45 seconds. you don’t need to complete them all in one go. i thought you would like to know as not many have covered this.

Just a little discovery for anyone who might have encountered the same problem as me:
If you can’t find any animals in the safe vicinity Guarma, try restarting the game and they’ll spawn. Loading saves doesn’t seem to work.
Restarting game is not a great idea, its way more faster to just run into red zone and get killed, that way new animals spawn, i did this method and pretty much found everything possible in 2 hours or so.
Yes, getting killed is the ideal method for finding these animals.
But what I was referring to is more likely a glitch that there are absolutely no animals on the entire island, in that case, reloading saves for some reason does not respawn the animals, only restarting the game would do.
Can you miss some mission’s by mistake?

I can confirm that the china pig can already be found in St. Denise in the worker slums and the Cuban crab can also be found on some beach sides before chapter 5.
If your struggling with challenges in story mode. its actually glitched.. I got a GOLD on ” pouring forth Oil II ” and in the tick box apparently nothing is done.
What i have to exactly craft for the trophie ” Self Sufficient” ? I crafted 30+ bullets all the types, cooked 20+ meals but still dont have a trophie. Any help?
It has to be separate recipes. Quickest way I did it was have oregeno, thyme, and mint and go through all the meats you have and season them. Each one is a different recipe
Hi! I’m currently at the beginning of chapter 3, and i want to make sure i have all the missable side quests. However, i cannot backtrack the Quest Money Lending and Other Sins. I have the quest “Money Lending and Other Sinds III” ( Bronze ) in my mission overview, but i cannot remember if i did a certain one. I did remember i collected money from a Polish guy, and a farmer, but i cannot remember doing the other one, but maybe i was just tired.
So my question is: If i have ” Money Lending and Other sinds III “in my log and on the R* socialclub site, does that mean i automaticly did 1 and 2? I’m kinda nervous to think i missed one, and i dont want to replay 2 entire chapters. Thanks!
I’d go back if I were you. There was 3 debtors you had to collect from. You have to make sure you collected all 3 to ensure you won’t have to go back.
You can still collect the remaining two debts (if you only collected one debt for “Money Lending and Other Sinds III”) in chapter 4. Thats what I did and the trophy still popped up. If I remember correctly part 1 and 2 are just cutscenes.
Lending a hand trophy is 90% completed for me .. did i miss something pyx?? I remember doing everything in the game.
Is there a gold medal glitch for “not taking any health items” during missions?
I’ve yet to take one during a mission and I never get a check mark for it even though I’ve seen it come up at least 5 times.
Reloading check points, eating food, dying, etc. All void this requirement. Avoid all of these.

No. Just complete story and you get 100%.
How come you have not marked It’s Art trophy as glitched? A lot of people saying its’s not popped for them.
We’re still looking for the last possible spawn points of the statue. I don’t think it’s glitched, people just haven’t found all the spots of it or didn’t put it back often enough.
Im pretty sure you get invited to Ms Hobbs Hut where she gives you the Statue.

I’ve done all but the last main mission in chapter 4, and still not one companion activity has shown up. I’ve done stranger missions, I’ve slept again and again and spent countless hours just wandering around the map skinning animals but still no companion activity. Is this a bug or is there a reason I haven’t seen one yet? It’s irritating me that I can’t move on without doing it for the trophy.
It’s a glitch. At the start of Chapter 4 you must finish the first 2 main quests without doing any side quest.
Try sleeping Till evening in your bed. After that pearson wanted to go hunting with me. Had done some side missions before

The ‘Of Men and Angels’ mission. I found it fine, I donated $10, when the game saves after this mission it pops up as ‘Of Men and Angels I’. But according to this guide there is also a OFaA II? Does anyone know when I will unlock this? Cheers.
Shortly After head to Saint Denis, look around for a big church. It wasn’t marked for me but this is where you meet the nun before u see her in part of another mission
Yeah I know where the big church is and I found the nun there once, and donated my $10, but when the game auto-saved it said only Part I had been completed. I’ve been back many times since and no Part II opportunity has presented itself.
I thought i would share my insights on a certain challenge.
Gambler Challenge 5. You need to win games without picking tiles up from the table. its worded to make you think you need to win without losing a tile from your board. but thats not true. Best Location for this is Saint Denis.
I’m sure I completed Money Lending and Other Sins IV. Sold the cougar skin and put the money and the brooch in the donation box. The prompt even changed from “Donate” to “Pay off all debts”. When I check my progression for chapter 3, the mission wasn’t there, and the achievement did not register more progress. It’s no longer in my log either. Luckily I have a save just before I pressed the “Pay of all debts” button, something is definitely buggy.
Only “Money Lending and Other Sins III” gets added to the mission log. “Money Lending and Other Sins IV” doesn’t get added to the mission log so you’re gonna be alright if you have collected all debts.
Lending Money and other sins IV wont show up in log or missions done. its not a bug just the way the games made it.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the companion activity quests for the trophy. I’ve done ones in the camps in chaptes 2 and 3 but I’m a great deal into chapter 4 and have yet to see a single activity at the camp. I’ve been talking to everybody there but nothing pops up. I’ve been was looking at IGN’s wiki page just at the mission titles to avoid specific spoilers and it appears to be that I am at the final mission for this chapter.
Am I screwed out of this trophy now or can I get it later, possibly after chapter 4 (please no specific spoilers)? I’ve been making backup saves but some of the missions go on for too long in my opinion.

I’ve done all but the last main mission in chapter 4. Now there is only a few NPCs in the camp. I don’t know it’s a bug or something. In socialclub my Chapter mission is 13/15 (one is the last main mission). The bonus mission is missing.

Not sure if that counts towards Errand Boy and I can’t tell cause I’ve already got the trophy but in Part II of Epilogue Uncle asks you for a favor. If you click left on d-pad in Log it is entitled Camp Item Request, “Uncle has asked for items to make a remedy”. It seems as if it could count towards the trophy so if you don’t have and you are already past chapter 4 there still might be chance to get the trophy if you’re 4/5 on errands.

1) restarting checkpoint negates the challenge (for accuracy u must complete the mission in one go as I have tried it myself but I am asking for other challenges) ??
2) pause the game count the time ??

There’s no medals for it, so it doesn’t log.

On the “Skin Deep” trophy do you actually have to kill the animal or just skin it? Funny thing on the Legendary Coyote when I was tracking him and found him he was dead already , I did skin him and got credit for that but in the progress tracker it still shows 0/1 killed skinned says 1/1? Anyone know if that is still ok for the trophy or did it glitch it?
I had that happen too, legendary animals automatically die if something or someone disturbs your hunting activity, which is stupid. I really hope legendary animals don’t count
What happens if you asked Dutch in chapter 2 for a pipe and complete it in chapter 3, will that still count towards the “friends with benefits” trophy?
I missed “Friends with Benefits” the first playthrough. However I have previous saves that I can go back and do it. My question is, can I still get 100% completion trophy on my main save without that being done? It says I have completed all the missions (its checked off on the total completion menu) if you were wondering.
Tilly’s request (Necklace) can also be done in chapter 3 (I’m doing at afternoon, not sure how to see what time it is). The guide says only in chapter 2.
Somebody just discovered the last location of the Squirrel Statue. It’s just to right of the last n of the word “Shann” – at the top of Mount Shann. I just went up there and after picking up the statue, the trophy “It’s Art” popped right away.
For the It’s Art Trophy 6th Squirrel Statue Location: The Squirrel Statue will be on Top of Mount Shann near the Giant’s Corpse Collectibles Location. Just go on the summit of that area of the Mountain and you’ll find it and receive the “It’s Art Trophy” immediately.
So I’ve got the bug where 4 characters (Sadie John Jack Abigail) disappear during chapter 2 and supposedly return at some point in chapter 4. Does anyone know if this affects the platinum trophy? I’ve completed 45% of the game and I’m in chapter 3..
Even if they were fone for ever you wouldn’t be locked out of the platinum. Without spoiling the game: a few missions in chapter 4 all the characters will be having a party including the missing ones. Talk to the missing people and they should be there for ever now.
Thanks for the reply. Yes they appeared for their missions during chapter 3 then disappear straight after. Now in chapter 4 they’re all back at the camp. Hopefully this glitch can been patched soon, as I’m gutted to have missed out on all their dialogues and requests in chapters 2 and 3.

“Errand Boy” doesn’t seem to be missable. In Epilogue – Part II Uncle asks for five items which count towards that trophy. That request is still open after finishing the game so you can’t miss the trophy ^^
One question, Skin Deep & Zoologist, have to be done during story (chapter 1 – end story) or can be done after I finished whole story line?

Has anyone else ran into a glitch where all the water in the game is just the one shade of light blue with no detail at all and the edges of the water are zig zags and if you go into it you just start falling into white nothingness screaming for ten seconds and then you just morph back to the edge of the water which is still the same light blue. Haven’t seen anything on google about it ( bit of a worry ).
I have lost huge parts of the land now it kind of looks like water and if I walk onto it I fall into the void then get transported back to the side. Tried reloading save but it’s still there. I uploaded it to YouTube under the title ‘Red Dead Redemption ground gone glitch’ so you guys can see for yourself. Not sure what to do now.

im fairly confused on the chapter 6 missions. I only got do not seek absolution 1 and 2. No other missions spawn(and that is a huge list you have for chapter 6). I did a mission for dutch and didnt know it was the end of chapter 6 already, but i was able to reload an autosave before that mission. Now I am here in chapter 6 and still no missions available

Browsing the Rockstar Social Club, I found out that I am missing the “That’s Murfree Country” mission from Chapter 5. I am in chapter 6 right now and thought this was a story related mission that is not missable. The trophy for completing chapter 5 never popped up. Anyone had similar issues? I am so frustrated right now.
Ok, you can still play this chapter 5 mission in chapter 6 and then the chapter will be concluded. The mission log seems to be very confuying at this point.

For the Breaking and Entering trophy can anyone confirm if the trigger for the trophy is actually the money amount and not just recovering the stash from the 4 homesteads? I went to the Pig Farm for my first stash to steal and followed the guide on what to steal and then went through the events until they took all my money, 125k worth. Upon getting that back the trophy popped immediately.

I’m wondering why Charles’ Robbery mission is showing up anymore? It did that one time after (SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 4) I rescued Jack but I decided to sleep and the mission’s gone! I slept til Noon, Evening, Night and there’s nothing from Charles! I kept sleeping and it didn’t work so I decided to explore more then came back to camp but still nothing from him.
I had this happen too.
It’s likely that the robbery got replaced by a item request.
Charles is sitting on a crate fiddling with a arrow. Complete the request and make sure to collect the reward he leaves in your room to render it completed.
Then sleep to noon, if it doesn’t pop up, manually save and reload. Should pop up now.
I’d recommend you take out the mini games from the Friends With Benefits trophy because I can confirm 100% that they do not count as camp activity towards the trophy.
They don’t count in chapter 4,but I’m sure they count in chapter 2,because I have done only a fff activity in that chapter and I have got the trophy.
Does anyone know how to track and study a panther? I know how to get them to appear, I’ve killed one and skinned one but for some reason no option appears to track or study them when I lock on to them. Is there some kind of special way of studying them?
The way I study a panther. I go to Panther location, put predator bait and go away and wait.
and my first two try, panther did’t spawn, u can try sleep for few days and try again.
im not sure if it works 100% of the times but the way i did it was with a poison arrow, the panther will scape and then will lay on the floor waiting for you to either kill it or let it bleed to dead, while its laying on the floor i was able to study it
For studying cougar and panther, if you don’t mind pelt quality, you could shoot it with an arrow(preferably a poisoned one, and avoid critical points), it would withdraw and lay down somewhere, that’s your opportunity to study it. For some reason they can’t be studied if they’re attacking, seems like you can only study them when they’re unaware of you or they lay dying.
do legendary animals count towards the skin deep and zoologist trophy?
“To keep track of your progress, check under Pause Menu > Progress > Total Completion > Strangers. The trophy unlocks later than it should for some reason. It can take 12+ stranger mission strands to pop it. Even if it says 10/10 in Rockstar Social Club, just keep doing more stranger questlines and it will unlock!”
That seems to be wrong. You get progress for the completion when you finish the first quest of a stranger, not a complete strand. So you can’t check it that way.
Also, you get progress to 100% even if a stranger only has one mission and that doesn’t count towards that trophy. That’s why some people say they have to do more than ten strands.
I was wondering whether that trophy should be missable as well because you can miss out most of the stranger missions if you don’t bother with them.
Have I missed out on the trophy ‘Lending a Hand’ if I completed ‘Javier – Home Robbery’ in chapter 3 and played dominoes as well as the five finger fillet in chapter 2?

For everyone who did the honor story missions and didn’t unlock lending a hand trophy .. replay Home Improvement for Beginners it is in epilogue 2 .. i did this and the trophy popped seconds away .. i had my lending a hand trophy at 90% .. pretty sure i also missed one honor story mission aswell .. powerpyx you should add this therefore many players unlocked the trophy this way..

I replayed Fatherhood and Other Dreams II in chapter 4 and the trophy popped for me.
I can totally confirmed that you don’t need any animals from Guarma to get the trophies. Just make sure you skin and study every animal in every main region.

I spent a long time to play the story in order to be sure not missing anything, and i’m currently at the end of chapter 4 and didn’t see any companions activity at all… I tried everything : sleeping, fast travel, side quests, loading a previous save (early chapter 4) but nothing works.
Is this trophy glitched ? Anyone encountered the same problem ? I waste hours because of this and can’t continue the story…

I had the same problem. I dont know if this works 100 %, but what i did was to load a earlyer save from chapter 4, i slept till evening, saved the game and reloaded it directly. After the reload i walked back into camp and the activity with Pearson showed up.

For those encounter the same problem, I finally load a previous save (after Jack’s return) and an activity appeared the next day after doing Tilly’s mission, so i was able to unlock the trophy :D
I received collector’s item trophy after catching 13 legendary fish, and after completing catfish quest, so it comes naturally, because you have to catch legendary fish for 100% completion anyway.
Do I need to study Legendary Animals for the trophy?
And can I dynamite Legendary fish? I’m starting to think I’m physically incapable of fishing them with a rod.
Fishing is actually pretty easy, only hard part is getting right fish to bait, if u use dynamite on fish, u will destroy its corpse, and wont be able to take it. The trick to pull out fish easy is to focus on pulling it out, reeling is not as important as pulling, so when u hook fish, pull it towards your character as many times as u possibly can, while reeling, as soon as fish starts struggle, dont reel, but pull fish to oppposite direction, if fish swims left, pull right, it will reduce its struggle, after struggle is over, pull it towards your character as many times as u possibly can while reeling, and keep repeating this. hope it helps, i havent failed a single fish pull once i learned this method.
I killed Algie Davison and took the money from the house already (prior to Money Lending and Other Sins V) and can’t activate that quest now…is having collected the debt already sufficient? Or am I screwed?

For example there are like three or four species of squirrels and they all have a separate spot in your compendium
Another glith had happened to me, or something alike. Related to study and skinn all the animals.
Devon ox will not appear in my compendium at all. When I find him at any farm where it’s possible, and when I look at him, it says ,Devon ox”, like I have already discovered him, but the spot for him in the compendium is blank. I have even killed and skinned him, but it did not change anything. Anyone whit similar issue or a solution maybe? Would be gratefull.
I’m having a similar issue but with the pronghorn. Every time I load up my game and see 1, I have to study it again (same specie), no matter how many times I study and skin them, the game does not save this animal.

In chapter 2 I did both the Bison Hunt and the Home robbery with Javier…before finishing the chapter, I checked my progress on Rockstar Club and it showed 33%, so I moved to chapter 3.
Moved on to chapter 3 and did play dominoes with Tilly and fished with both Javier and Kieran. However, my progress on Rockstar Social Club didn’t move to 66%….it just got stuck at 33%…just finished chapter 3 to see if the tracker on RSC would move to 66% but it didn’t.
Anyone have a solution????
I’m so frustrated with the Friends and Benefits…I did pretty much all activities in chapter 2 and 3…chapter 2 I hunted Bisons with Charles and did home robbery with Javier, checked the status in Rockstar Social Club and it showed 33%…went ahead to chapter 3 and did home robbery and fishing with both Kieran and Javier….but the tracker in RSC didn’t move to 66%…tried several times fishing again with Javier and nothing…moved in to Chapter 4 just to try it and did the stage coach robbery with Lenny and the tracker updated to 66% but no trophy popped…
The problem is in chapter 3…somebody experienced the same?

Well, i have a question about the study all animal trophy, altough the legendaries land animals can be studied, you can also get the 100% of said legendary without having them be studied, so im kinda worried, because i have 9 legendaries now, and almost a complete list of all the animals and sorts, but im worried because the legendary fox i HAVE NOT studied it.
Is studying the legendaries mandatory or not? Or just the regular animals?
Because if it is, its a missable trophy, there is only one legendary of each type, if you kill it and did not study them, you dont get another chance… Can someone please confirm that the legendaries do not need to be studied…
Because you only have Track/Kill/Skin for legendaries in compendium, no study aperantly required… But when you hunt them, the study option does appear… Im really worried because the last manual save i made is long ago, and tracking the animals is tiresom, so i hope there is no need to study the legendaries…

Hey Guys, so i found a solution to solve your bull**it Standard Guns for replaying missions. Use a mission where you can head to a GUNSMITH. I chose ” A Quiet Time ” for this. Pick the guns you want added to your saddle bag or on your shoulder. then when you start another mission. You will have that best weapon and all your weapons available to use. I found this extremely helpful. Hope this can help you guys too!
Gran and Bear It Tip: You can take to the train to Wallace Station and there will be a Grizzly just West and slightly north between and Watson’s Cabin. Take the train away camp until the next morning, then take the train back and one will be there again. Spawn moves slightly but that forest is littered with Grizzly bodies, you do not need to wait three days or whatever. Just make sure to TAKE THE TRAIN! Otherwise you’re back on random spawns.

You can Headshot animals and Civilians along the way to the objectives.
Accuracy:
You can tag multiple times after a headshot to increase your accuracy. As long as every bullet hits the enemy, Your golden.

I just discovered that marko dragic trophy is also missable. I did the quest, but never went to see marko dead. When i went during the epilogue it did not unlock, marko bodies was there but not the electric lantern. Hopefully had a save from chapter 6 (way further than 2 days after i did the quest) and it unlock the trophy

Do you just need to create a persistent posse?
Or do you need someone to join you posse before the trophy unlocks?
So i discovered something when going for GOLDS.
Rockstar social club not only tracks your progress for the Trophy but i noticed that after some golds the percentage skipped up 2-3% sometimes. With the logic behind this is maybe its based on how long and hard the missions are.
Meaning that you dont actually need 70 golds. As others have said they have unlocked it at 68-73. maybe this is just based on because of how many easy ones they have done (1%’s)
70 units will not add same percentage when you aiming for 100% thats basic math.

I accidentally studied a parrot in Guarma and now I have it in my compendium. I know that Guarma animals are not needed for “Skin Deep” and “Zoologist” trophies but since the parrot is now in my compendium does it screw things up or not?

No worries, this is fine and doesn’t affect anything negatively. The Guarma animals just count as “extras”. How many (or if any) of them you skin/study does not affect the trophies.
All’s Fair is a pain in the ass…..No One play free roam missions…i don’t know what people do in free roam.
Tell me about it ! Haven’t seen a single one happen in a whole day of play. Almost at the point of begging on the mic for someone to start one and let me stop them. Got the supposedly difficult 3 time mvp in about 30 mins (didn’t foresee all’s fair being the trophy killer).
I had 2 pop up within an hour last night and both had full lobbies, but I’ve never actually seen one on the map for me to start. Never seen a gang hideout either after it tells you about them in the tutorial. Maybe you have to progress with the online story to unlock it all?
I got the All’s Fair because some Posse targeted me for Assassination, wasn’t sure what that was all about, but managed to escape them for 5 minutes and the Trophy popped. Should be boostable if you just can target anyone like this?

You just seriously need to add some info for lending a hand trophy…despite that you can unlock it via a glitch.
The mission “Of Men and Angels” in chapter 6 is only available for a limited time…or rather between A Fork in the Road and The Fine Art of Conversation. You have it in your Of Men and Angels walkthrough but not in this guide.
I missed out on the lending a hand trophy because I didn’t know the mission would disappear.
Now rushing through the epilogues to glitch the trophy before it is patched.
There is a linked mission overview in the trophy description that shows in what order you should do each story mission, so it’s there already. If you don’t stick to the given order, then some stuff will disappear.
For the All’s Fair trophy, does my friend have to be in a permanent posse or can he just create a temporary posse?

For the “Bountiful” trophy, you don’t actually need to get a 250$ bounty in New Austin if you are going for the trophy after story. I got the trophy today and I got a 250$ bounty in Ambarino, New Hanover, Lemoyne and West Elizabeth and then just rode to New Austin where I set up a camp and slept until the trophy popped. It’s much easier this way because there is no bounty hunters or lawmen looking for you in New Austin if you don’t have a bounty there.
Just a tip, for the trophy ”HOME COMFORTS” must buy all the flags at one time, otherwise it will not work!

For Buckle Up you can add reaching maximum honor rating as a gold award as well. Only level 12 myself and already have it…only chose the honorable options in my missions and hardly tried increasing my honor tbh.
Where have you got 337,100 from to reach rank 50?? It takes nowhere near that. I’ve added it up myself and it only takes 170,425 to reach rank 50.

Hey, you are right about that… I looked this up online and what I found for Red Dead Online Ranks was apparently from the first game taking 337k XP. These numbers are wrong for RDR2 and I never realized you can see the XP per level when you press X on the rank unlocks (they’ve hidden this a bit). I added up all ranks according to the Rank Unlocks Menu and the total is 175,300XP. I’ve updated it here, thanks for spotting this! Nobody realized this in weeks.
Haha no worries. Yeah i only just realised because i too looked at that first rdr xp chart and it just didn’t add up because it was saying on most levels you needed 8-10k xp. Well that’s not the case. It’s more like 4-5k. So i added them all up.

Another easy gold award for Buckle Up trophy is 100 gold nuggets. If you do some racing you’ll get there pretty quickly. It requires some skill as winning obviously grants more nuggets but I only done some racing for about 2 hours and already have this award.

For the Real Deal trophy…racing is by far the easiest method. That said add a note that says buy some blood pressure tablets as it is an infuriating exercise to win races.
and for people problem try to do hostile territory in the 16 player mode and just keep standing in one zone for the whole game or if you die try to keep going back to a zone of your team and continue standing and defening it as in that game mode the mvp goes to the person who stands the longest in the zones

I know I am a little late to the party as only recently got the game. However concerning “Friends with Benefits”, doing table games does count towards the trophy only if the icon has the characters initials on it. These spawn randomly. I played Dominoes with Tilly at the beginning of Chapter 3 with the initials “TJ” on the domino icon. I have not done anything else in Chapter 3 and in Rockstar Social Club the percentage has increased to 66%. Just letting you guys know. Also, great guide Powerpyx! Cheers.
I was able to get the Errand Boy trophy on Chapter 6. I had 4 out of 5 requests delivered and them I found a necklace for Tilly, went back to Beaver Hollow camp, gave it to her and the trophy popped!

It doesn’t affect the 100%. Missable story missions aren’t required for 100% game completion.
