Region: Braithwaite Manor
Requirements: having finished any main mission in Chapter 6
Reward: Honor
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Headshot 5 of the Braithwaites as they pursue the train
- Complete within 7 minutes 30 seconds
The Course of True Love IV Starting Location
After any mission in Chapter 6, we will receive another letter from Penelope. It will be located in our tent in Beaver Hollow.
She asks us to help her a final time.
The Course of True Love V Starting Location
Mount up and head to the Braithwaite Manor to escort Penelope to the train station. She and Beau want to escape the mad family feud once and for all. Should be a walk in the park.
Once you reunited them at the Rhodes train station and are buying the tickets for them, some of the remaining family members show up and cause trouble. Time to step in.
Give the cousins a good beating and join Penelope and Beau on the first part of the train journey. But, there is not much time to take a breath – more Braithwaites show up.
How many family members does she have? We must’ve killed all by now, it seemed…
Get in cover, observe the mini-map for red dots and use your Dead Eye to mark one or several targets for some easy headshots. You need 5 for the Gold Medal, and there are more than ten enemies to achieve this.
Eventually, the train will stop and the driver runs off.
Time to take control of the train ourselves and drive it to the next station.
Decline Penelopes offer to take the jewelry as a payment for a small honor-boost.
Arthur organizes a carriage for them to bring them closer to their ultimate goal; Boston.
This concludes the “The Course of True Love” Story Missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). For all other Story Missions check out the full Red Dead Redemption 2 Missions Walkthrough.

Another bullshit mission with an impossible time limit.
KillaJames9900 says
I’m in the same boat as you. These time limit “challenges” are bs. They all should be either removed or extended greatly. I’ve restarted this mission 6 times.
Charlie Denton says
It won’t let me do this as [redacted] so I cannot get 100% completion!
PowerPyx says
You don’t need this for 100% completion. Missable missions are not required (I’m talking about the 100% in-game completion counter that rewards you with a gold trophy… it doesn’t actually need you to have done everything, just finished the story, no matter how many missions you missed).
Lee says
The time limit isn’t that bad, just make a straight line towards the train station and that cuts a lot of time off. The thing I HATE about this mission is that your horse follows you and my horse has died numerous times because he hits the train.
PDXBruce says
Yeah, I’ve lost two horses on four missions. Is that what happens? They hit the train? The first one I lost was the black Arabian, and I thought maybe she had a heart attack because she was kind of skittish. This time around I left my white Arabian at the stable and took my Standardbred, but he died too.
Shannon says
It made me loose my white arabian horse tho….
Now i can’t find her… 🙁 she’s my girl!!!!!
Angel says
These time limits are completely asinine, and it feels like only missions with long horse rides and unskippable scenes have timers!
WTF?!?
BartThaPlayr says
That mission is based on good rng. I’ve made record time to the station, but beating up these two rednecks… Gosh, impossible
Mitch says
Cinematic camera worked on another mission so maybe it will work on this one as soon as you start driving the train. Am testing it now…yep ! Seemed to do the trick I just got gold
CyberSpino says
White Arabians are found in the snowy mountains. I hope you find her
