Red Dead Redemption 2 Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten Walkthrough

November 11, 2018 by Jack McBastard 2 Comments

Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten is the 56th main story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten Main Quest including all Gold Medals for 100% completion.

Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten is unlocked after completing Country Pursuits.

Quest Giver: Dutch
Chapter: 4
Region: Lemoyne

Gold Medal Requirements:

  • Search every room in Bronte’s mansion
  • Carry Bronte to the skiff within 1 minute 30 seconds
  • Get 20 headshots
  • Complete the mission without taking any health items

Starting Location: Lagras, Lemoyne

Talk to Dutch

Meet Dutch at Thomas’s dock, and you’ll automatically transition into a cinematic with all your heavy hitters: Dutch, John Marston, Bill Williamson, Lenny and you. Thomas will row you to the shores of Bronte’s mansion, arriving as the sun goes down.

  • GOLD MEDAL: Complete the mission without taking any health items

Follow Dutch up the hill to the walls, then climb over with everyone else.

Dutch will again split up the group into teams, sending you left with John. Follow him further into the compound, staying low to avoid being seen. John will spot a pair of guards talking in the distance, and you can choose whether you or he will attack. Its a good opportunity to get two quick head shots in Dead Eye.

  • GOLD MEDAL: Get 20 headshots
  • GOLD MEDAL: Search every room in Bronte’s mansion

Move up carefully, sticking to solid cover where possible. Keep an eye out for guards on the balcony who usually have a good angle to hit you even when you’re hiding, so try to take them out first and with Dead Eye to ensure a good head shot.

Once the guards are dead outside, Dutch will call for everyone to get to the house. Join him at the door, and he will toss you a shotgun to blast the lock on the front door.

After you do, kick it in to gain entry. There will be two henchmen waiting for you in the hallway straight ahead of you. Use Dead Eye again to take them out with headshots.

Move into the side rooms and clear them out before advancing.

Once you’ve taken care of all the henchmen on the first floor you’ll be told to search upstairs, and three search zones will appear on the map. Be sure to search the two rooms on the left and right before opening the middle area, in order to complete the gold medal requirement.

Once you search the middle room, you’ll encounter Bronte. John will pistol whip him to knock him out, leaving you to carry him back to the skiff as quickly as possible.

  • GOLD MEDAL: Carry Bronte to the skiff within 1 minute 30 seconds

Go back down the stairs and retrace your steps back to the boat. Keep moving and let your gang clean up any shooters, unless you still need headshots to complete your total, in which case use Dead Eye so you don’t eat into too much of your time limit.

Reach the boat, watch a cinematic and your mission will be complete. Arrivederci, Signor Bronte

This finishes Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten main mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. Now the next quest Banking, the Old American Art starts.

Yeah…“Rooms on the left and right” isn’t really all that helpful. Especially since if you fuck up you gotta restart the whole mission thanks to the no health items requirement.

The two rooms you’re looking for are straight ahead after going up the stairs and the other to the left of the stairs, where the second guy shoots at you from.

Sorry, I meant the room to AVOID is the one straight ahead of the stairs.
