Red Dead Redemption 2 Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow Walkthrough

November 18, 2018 by dalailama1989 10 Comments

Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow is an Optional Honor Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. This Walkthrough shows how to complete the Mission. Playing it is required for the missable :silver: Lending a Hand trophy.

Quest Giver: Sadie Adler
Region: Beaver Hollow Camp
Requirements: having finished Goodbye, Dear Friend
Reward: Honor

Gold Medal Requirements:

  • Kill the Sniper in the Barn with a Headshot
  • Secure the Barn without taking Damage
  • Complete within 5 minutes 30 seconds

Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow Starting Location

After getting rid of a recurring enemy in the mission Goodbye, Dear Friend, Sadie wants to cut the remaining loose end and kill the one responsible for killing her husband and destroying her ranch.
Accept her mission and choose to ride with her together. If you want to ride on your own, you have to get to Hanging Dog Ranch yourself.

After a short cutscene and making clear that a certain feller “belongs to her”, we approach the Ranch and the shootout will start almost immediately.
As with any other large shootout, take cover, check your mini-map for enemies and use Dead Eye :r3: to precisely take out your targets.
At one point, a sniper will take position at the top window of the barn – taking him out with a headshot is a requirement for a Gold Medal and generally a good way to stay alive, as he deals quite a lot of damage.

Once the yard seems quiet, it is time to check the houses. Sadie will take the one on the right and we check the barn ahead. Approach it carefully, as there are some enemies lurking in cover on both floors. Taking no damage here is another Gold Medal requirement.

Once the barn is secure, head to the house to check up on Sadie.
The managed fine on her own – as expected – and finishes off the guy she wanted to kill the whole time.

This is likely going to be your last Mission for the :silver: Lending a Hand trophy – congrats!

This concludes the “Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow” Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). For all other Story Missions check out the full Red Dead Redemption 2 Missions Walkthrough.

I think the requirement “having finished Goodbye, Dear Friend” is a bit misleading. I didn’t have this mission appear after it. It finally appeared after I did a few more of the story missions.

You have to complete the whole mission without damage if you are having problems with it.

Wtf. I didn’t take any damage at all, but the checklist says I did. It seems Rockstar didn’t even test these gold medal requirements to see if they were fair or worked properly.

Whaaaaa? A game studio that doesn’t test its game or doesn’t listen to its testers’ feedback? Now that’s just crazy talk.
