To complete one of Mary Beth’s Errands in Red Dead Redemption 2 you must find the Fountain Pen Location. The guide below shows where to find the Fountain Pen in RDR2:
The Fountain Pen is located in Osman Grove, which is a hut just east (right) of Emerald Ranch.
In order to deliver it you need to get Mary Beth’s errand request first. She gives it to you at your gang’s hideout in Chapter 2 between 8:00 – 20:00 at day. Fulfilling 5 errands is a requirement for the Errand Boy trophy and achievement. This errand is missable, it’s only available in Chapter 2! Bring back the Fountain Pen to Mary-Beth at your camp to complete this Companion Request.

I missed the naval watch and Pen errands still found them but never given to them and still had enough other errands to get the achievement.

I sold the pen before giving it to Mary-Beth.. do I have replay the game from the scratch to achieve the trophy?

You can’t sell it, you probably sold the other pen you get from a quest, the one for mary beth is looted in a cabin full of people who died from smoke inhalation, it’s unique and can’t be sold.

You can get the pen ANYTIME! He’s talking about the companion mission! And YES, there are more than 5 so you can still get trophy even missing this mission.
And YES you’ll have to replay to give her the pen but NOT to get trophy! There are more than 5 companion missions

I’m in chapter 6 and managed to finish this quest! (Like 2 minutes ago) So I’m not sure why it says chapter 2? Maybe they’ve fixed it?

Prolly you fan only trigger the mission on chapter 2, but can deliver the pen anytime…?

I went to Osman Grove to collect the fountain Pen but I hade allready been there and looted. But I cant find the Pen in my inventory. And I can still see her request in my log. Like someone said it can’t be sold, but can it be lost if you die or something? I got robbed by the guy getting out of Saint Denis gunshop. Could he have taken it and not given it back when I caught him?

The pen is not there anymore in Chapter 3. I suppose it’s a random location or they changed it.
