According to the developers themselves, they already confirmed in the past that platinum can be done in 1 single playthrough. There are no difficulty-related trophies, so you can play on easy. We must purchase all Weapons and locate all collectibles called CraiggerBears. It seems we don’t even need all Gold Bolts, only 5 of them are needed for trophy “Nooks and Crannies”. The rest of the list is mostly a mix of miscellaneous trophies, some of which will need to be done in specific locations, and several combat-related trophies. All of this looks quite easy. The list looks more like a bunch of tutorial things that will come naturally while you play. Should be a quick plat that’s doable in 1 playthrough without much trouble.

Theres no chapter select. You can visit previous planets you were on and get the associated trophies ETC

I think its a comparatively small game, 15 hours for the story. So eont be a big issue even if there are missables

It should be an easy Platinum trophy which is nice after Returnal lost my interest because of its Platinum trophy being hard because of difficulty and RNG. It’s still unbelievable that Sony are charging £69.99 for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart after charging £34.99 (I think) for Ratchet & Clank (2016). I wonder if Horizon Forbidden West will cost £69.99 since it’s on PS4 and PS5.

Wouldn’t you expect it to be cheaper if on pay and ps5? Like ac valhalla for example

I certainly want Horizon Forbidden West to be cheaper since it’s on PS4 and PS5, but this is Sony we’re talking about and since the launch of the PS5, they’ve become arrogant when it comes to pricing. Miles Morales is a AA game and they charged £49.99 even though it was $49.99 in the US. Sackboy was supposedly “AAA” but they yet again charged too much in the UK by pricing it at £59.99 even though it was $59.99 in the US. The gist of what I’m saying is that if Horizon Forbidden West is $59.99, then it should be £49.99 and if it’s $69.99 (which I hope it isn’t), then it should be £59.99 maximum. The UK went from paying £39.99, £49.99, £59.99 and now £69.99 for AAA PlayStation games since the PS3. The most I’ve paid for a PS4 game was Final Fantasy VII Remake (£48), but to now be expected to pay £69.99 is insane to me.

I fully agree. Full comment below from me. I think that quality is the most important thing, and I have no doubt this game will be great, but there needs to be a lines. I’d be shocked if it was more than 25-30 hours based off this trophy list unless you go out of your way to increase difficulty and be inefficient. Maybe there is a ton more content than I’m expecting, but I doubt it.

I feel it needs to be case-by-case. I think games like Returnal, Demon Souls etc. which are next-gen exclusives with a ton of replayable sort of make sense carrying a £70 price tag. Games like this, and Spider-man Miles Morales at £50 (a standalone expansion) is ridiculous.

Also Sony, if you’re reading, no – NG+ patches don’t help.

PhantomFear94 I’m glad we agree to some extent but I disagree that any games this generation should cost more than £59.99 (which itself is more than I’m willing to pay).

I understand the price increasing from $59.99 to $69.99 in the US because they’ve been paying about $60 since the launch of the Xbox 360 in 2005. In the UK however, we already had our price increase from £39.99 to £49.99 since the launch of the PS4 in 2013, then certain digital versions of games increased to £54.99/£59.99 and now Sony/Square Enix and maybe more are charging £69.99 for PS5 games.

Considering that I paid £39.96 for Cyberpunk 2077, £38.24 for Persona 5 Strikers and £39.99 for Resident Evil Village, there is no way I’m paying £69.99 for any PS4 or PS5 games. Maybe I could be convinced to pay £55 maximum but I just wish Sony, Square Enix and other publishers don’t charge more than £59.99 at launch this generation.

its crazy how physical will be £30/£35 but then on ps store its 69.99, abusing the whole digital store, this is why i will never buy a digital ps5..

Sad to see that there isn’t a trophy related to the challenge playthrough. At least, I hope they didn’t ditch the challenge playthroughs. Lol

My instinct is that there with be NG+ patch, possible with a challenge playthrough.

Trophy list has been revealed formally on tracking websites, and no NG+ DLC just yet. I think it will come though, so prepare for it. It’s becoming more common than not with Sony exclusives these days, in part because of the post-2018 practise of omitting difficulty-related trophies in the base game list.

I really hope there is some significant content here as I’m getting a bit fed of Sony’s financing strategy. For the game itself, I’m very excited – everything I’ve seen looks amazing. I understand quality > quantity, and I’m happy to fund good quality games. Howeverm for single-player only games like most Sony IP’s are, its just not worth the arbitary £10-15 hike they’ve given PS5 releases.

Honestly, £70 is making PS5 purchases less justifiable for me as an already Xbox-main gamer. I’d understand it if it was the new industry standard, but most AAA x-platform games are still £50-60. I don’t think the performance upgrade with current gen warrants that sort of increase, when Xbox’s new consoles perform on par with PS5 in nearly all cases (if not exceeding it in others), and are subsidising the cost of games with Game Pass and less-brutal full-retail prices.
I don’t neccesarily equate hours to value, a game can be amazing but short, or boring and long. However, there needs to be a balance. I can’t see Ratchet & Clank being much more than 20-25 hours if its all do-able in one playthrough and based off this trophy list, I don’t think 10-15 is impossible. If so, £70 would be a real kick to the teeth.

You need to collect 10 bots, afterwards you can purchase it at the store.
