Prince of Persia The Lost Crown contains 9 Mystery Chest Locations. Finding all Mystery Chests is needed for the Charitable Soul trophy & achievement.
You need to find all 9 Mystery Chests as part of The Architect side quest. You can find this quest after the 8th Main Quest “Father and Son”. But you don’t need to accept it to get to the chests. For most Chests you need abilities that you unlock during the story. So it is recommended to play through the story first. None of the Chests is missable and you can get them all after the story. Here is the location for starting the quest.

The Architect Side Quest – Starting Location
The Architect side quest starts in Upper City.
Lower City
#1 Mystery Chest
For this chest to appear, shoot an arrow straight up in the air between both statues.
Reward: Zurvan’s Voice Amulet
Soma Tree
#2 Mystery Chest
For this chest to appear, you have to cut all red grass from all 4 stages before it grows back. An easy way to do this is to throw the Dimensional Claw at the upper right stage.
Then jump and shoot arrows to cut off the rest.
Reward: Soma Tree Petal
#3 Mystery Chest
To get to this chest, soak in one of these purple bubbles with your Dimensional Claw and throw it onto the wall to the left side with the little yellow light.
Follow the path and you will find a place with statues.
To solve this puzzle, you have to get two more statues. The first one is above you. Go to the left side and jump upwards. Use your Dimensional Claw and soak it in.
Once you have it, go back to the previous two statues und just place the one you got on the left pedestal. For the second missing statue, just go down on the right side of the 3 statues.
Then go down one more floor to find the missing statue. Soak it in and get back to the other statues.
Now that you have all 3 statues. You must get rid of the little grey statue. Soak it in and throw it away. Now just place the other statues like in the picture below. Interact with them to have them all look to the right side and the chest will appear.

Sacred Archives
#4 Mystery Chest
To get this chest to appear, you have to get another scholar. To get one, just go to your right and to the following location.
Just soak him in with the Dimensional Claw.
Go back to the chest location and release him with 
on the empty spot. The chest will appear soon after.
Reward: Soma Tree Petal
#5 Mystery Chest
To get this chest to appear, drop down from the upper right side, dash forward then jump back to the middle and drop down. You have to be fast for this or you will get crushed.
Reward: Amulet Holder
Tower of Silence
#6 Mystery Chest
For this you have to be in a specific angle, now hold 
/ 
to aim and shoot at the middle part.
The chest will now appear.
Reward: Soma Tree Petal
Pit of Eternal Sands
#7 Mystery Chest
To reveal this chest, you have to crush a big statue enemy by the serpent stones. To find one go to this location.
Soak one in with your Dimensional Claw.
Get back to where the chest is and release him.
Reward: Soma Tree Petal
Sunken Harbor
#8 Mystery Chest
To reveal the chest, hold / and shoot a charged arrow on the upper left side.
The chest will attack you, so you have to defeat it.
Reward: Ard’s Fortune Amulet
The Depths
#9 Mystery Chest
To reveal this chest, just make a copy of yourself with Shadow of the Simurgh in front of one sun. Then jump in front of the other sun.
Reward: Shockwave Amulet
Finish The Architect Side Quest
Once you got all chests, go back to Maryam.
You will see a big spinning wheel with symbols. The goal now is to shoot all symbols in a specific order.
Each chest you solved left a number and a symbol on the map. Shoot the symbols with arrows in the same order to complete this quest. Look at the picture below to get the right order.
Then the Architect side quest will complete.

The Guide for chest #4 (The one w/ 4 alchemists) is completely wrong. The method doesn’t work because once you release the guy from the claw he attacks the other alchemists.
All you have to do is just press DOWN on the free circle and the chest will appear.

4 is definitely wrong, Maybe it was changed after this guide was written but as of April 2025, when you release him he goes Agro on all of the others. You have to do it the way mentioned in the comment above.
7 is also incorrect, it tells you to go get a golum statue from a certain location, you can’t get one from here, it will leave your dimensional claw when you exit the area since it’s closed off by Purple portal walls. Instead you need to go to the night temple fast travel point in upper city and go left and drop all the way down and you can get one from there on the bridge.
