Evolution: Ponyta > Rapidash (Level 40)
Characteristics: This Pokémon can be seen galloping through fields at speeds of up to 150 mph, its fiery mane fluttering in the wind. The fastest runner becomes the leader, and it decides the herd’s pace and direction of travel.

Rapidash Location in Pokemon Sword & Shield: You can find Rapidash in the following locations:

  • Evolves from Galarian Ponyta (at Level 40+) – Shield Exclusive
    • There are no known locations to catch this Pokemon in the open world.
  • You can’t find this or Ponyta in Sword Edition
  • How to get Rapidash in Sword Edition: Have a player with Shield version trade you this Pokemon (trade is the only way).

    You can also get Rapidash through 4 star Max Raids or Dynamax battles. It’s how I got one and I’m on Sword.

      And once you have the Rapidash you can breed them with a ditto to get a Ponyta.
