In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Mystery Gift is your way of obtaining Event Distribution items from Nintendo through your internet connection. Unlike other games, Mystery Gift isn’t just handed out to you but instead needs to be unlocked within the game.
Obtaining Mystery Gift
After defeating Team Galactic in Eterna City head back to Jubilife City and go to the TV Station building to the North-West of the Pokémon Center:
Head inside the building and make your way up to the 3rd floor. On the orange and yellow floor you will see a man and a woman speaking to each other:
Speak to the gentleman and he will inform you he is the TV Producer and he will ask if you have any ideas to help his future programming, say ‘Yes’. He will give you a choice of options, but you will want to choose ‘EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION’:
Once you select this choice he will get happy and unlock Mystery Gift for you.
Using Mystery Gift
Once you have Mystery Gift unlocked head to your in-game menu with 
and select ‘Mystery Gift’ in the bottom right corner. Click ‘Get Via Internet’:
Your game will connect to the internet and save your game before searching for gifts. Once the gifts are found online it will give you a list of what is available:
Click on the gift you want and you will be given your gift automatically in-game:
Keep checking for new gifts to be available in the future and if you picked up the game around its release date in 2021, be sure to grab your Manaphy Egg Mystery Gift before it’s too late!
