Introduction
Welcome to the Nobody Wants To Die Trophy Guide! This interactive, futuristic noir style detective game sees you play a detective, James Karra, who is investigating a rogue serial killer targeting the city’s elite. The game takes place in a dystopic version of New York City. The year is 2329. People can become immortal, transferring their consciousness between other bodies for the right price. Using advanced technology to rewind time and events you will risk everything in pursuit of a killer, uncovering the dark secrets of the city’s elite.
Step 1: Finish Story + Collect All Chapter-Related Missable Trophies
Play through the game and get all missable trophies along the way. They are listed in chronological order below. The game is very linear and consists of a mixture of written displayed objectives and dialogue choices that advance the story. There’s no combat and no difficulty settings. Each section is split into chapters. You will know when a new chapter begins as large red text is displayed across the screen saying what area you are in. They are all very small and straightforward.
In Chapter 9: Old Museum, after solving the evidence board choose dialogue “Green was behind it all” (needed to get good ending for End of Deadly Dreams). In the final chapter ‘CENTRAL PARK‘ you will need to make a backup save to achieve both endings in one playthrough. Without a backup save you’d need to replay the game a second time.
Trophies in Chronological Order:
- Chapter 1: NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE – Restless Hands (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 2: GREEN TOWER – Scent of Mistery (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 2: GREEN TOWER – Cold Case (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 2: GREEN TOWER – Firestarter (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 3: JAMES’ APARTMENT – Old Bastard (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 3: JAMES’ APARTMENT – The Game (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 4: ICARUS BAR – Old Fashioned (MISSABLE) – this Chapter is where the first part of the trophy begins and is carried over into Chapter 5, where the trophy is earned.
- Chapter 5: STREETS – Old Fashioned (MISSABLE) – trophy unlocks in this chapter
- Chapter 5: STREETS – You’ve Got Mail (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 6: JAMES’ APARTMENT – Ray of Light (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 9: OLD MUSEUM – “Chicken of Justice” (MISSABLE)
- Chapter 9: OLD MUSEUM – when given the dialogue choice from Sara after solving the evidence board, you must choose the dialogue option ‘Green was behind it all‘. This is needed to get both endings in the same playthrough (specifically it’s a requirement to be able to trigger the Good Ending for End of Deadly Dreams).
- Chapter 11: CENTRAL – Make Backup Save in PS+ Cloud. This is needed to get the 2nd ending without replaying the entire game. Anguish (MISSABLE) (Bad Ending) > Download PS+ backup save from start of chapter > End of Deadly Dreams (MISSABLE) (Good Ending)
- Credits (Post-Story) – One Missed Call (MISSABLE)
How to Back Up and Restore Saves:
- On PS4/PS5: Console Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Upload or Delete from Console Storage > Upload your save to PS+ Cloud. Make sure you have automatic save sync uploads disabled or else it could automatically overwrite your cloud save (PS5 Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data PS5 > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data = Disabled). To restore the save, go back to Saved Data (PS5) > Download or Delete from Cloud Storage > Overwrite.
- On Xbox Series S/X: To force a cloud save where you want it to occur, disconnect yourself from the internet > move around in-game whilst disconnected from internet for a few seconds > reconnect yourself back to the internet > now it will force a cloud save > (double-check that it really uploaded to the cloud) > do what you need to do (finish one ending) WITHOUT EXITING THE GAME (exiting the game may overwrite cloud save!) and stay online because it can’t unlock achievements offline > when done press Home-Button > scroll down to Nobody Wants to Die > press Options > Manage Game > Saved Data > click Gamertag > Delete Saved Data > Delete from Console > if it still shows the save, delete it again until it’s gone > press Home-Button and restart the game > it will now sync/download your backup save from cloud.
Step 2: Reload Backup Save to Earn the Alternate Ending Trophy
See Anguish and End of Deadly Dreams trophy descriptions in the guide below for details on how to earn the respective trophies.

Special Thanks / Credits
Al = info for various missable trophies
Chris = for figuring out that picking “Green was behind it all” in Chapter 9 is important for Good Ending
Chris says
I’m not getting this dialogue options for the ending. I think you need to make the save at the choice for green or murderer.
Chris says
Ok I can confirm, in order to make the save at Central Park, like the guide suggests to not have to do multiple playthroughs, YOU MUST CHOOSE GREEN at Sara’s apartment, DO NOT CHOOSE MURDERER.

Thanks, Chris!
Excellent game, btw.
PowerPyx + team, don’t forget, for future guides, make the jump to (Xbox) Achievements, please.

Thanks for pointing this out!
This indeed seems to be a hidden step to be able to trigger the Good Ending.
I tested both paths:
Picking ‘The Murderer Was Behind it All’ in Chapter 9 results in different dialogues at the end. I retried the ending 5 times on this path and always got bad ending. There is no peaceful outcome in this case, you always get shot, and there’s no option to throw your weapon away. Even if not shooting your weapon, you still get bad ending in this case. Two of the QTEs (first shooting option and subsequent fight option) always autofailed for me despite tapping the button very fast.
Picking “Green Was Behind it All” in Chapter 9 lets you get both endings (via PS+ save).
Weird that only this one choice prior to Chapter 11 impacts the ending. None of the other story choices seem to have an impact, so this wasn’t immediately obvious.
I updated the relevant parts in the guide/roadmap and added the alternate dialogue choices for bad ending on Murderer path, and also credited you at the end 🙂

Man Ive followed Powerpyx since day one but this is a common issue, like why haven’t you updated it yet to be correct for one playthrough?!! Was so keen to knock out this but now I have to do a second play though because he forgot to mention you need to CHOOSE GREEN FOR SARA… So annoying bro….
PowerPyx says
This has been updated in the guide a day ago 🙂 You must be looking at an older version.
It’s mentioned 4 times in the guide to pick Green in Chapter 9 (Roadmap Step 1, chronological trophy order in Step 1, each of the ending trophies).
Ashbo (guide author) didn’t realize this choice mattered. Upon seeing the comment by Chris, I checked with Ashbo and he confirmed he did pick Green. So I made him add this to the guide until we can 100% confirm it. I then proofchecked both paths myself to confirm (you can check my trophy timestamps) and yes picking Green in Chapter 9 matters. None of the other choices prior to Chapter 11 seem to matter for the ending so this wasn’t obvious (the game makes it seem like it only matters whether you shoot or throw the weapon at the end, but picking Green in Chapter 9 is a hidden prerequisite to be able to throw the weapon away).
So yeah Ashbo didn’t realize this choice mattered. But let’s maybe be happy he had the balls to take on a guide project which is mostly missables without chapter select and the game giving no indication which choices matter. With the help of the community we figured out the extra step within a day and it was updated in the guide within 22h after publication (guide was published on Jul 25th @ 23:59 CET, updated with the Chapter 9 dialogue at Jul 26th @ 22:10 CET).

Serious Bro? This is the most relevant guide in the web, Powerpix always brings the first guides and you’re complaining about one mistake? Why don’t you go and do it by yourself then? Unbelievable.

Perfect guide thankyou! Keep up the awesome work. Appreciate your efforts ????

Guys, don’t forget to turn off the automatic sync before going on the final chapter, as soon as you do the first final and close the game it automaticaly syncs the safe to cloud. I had to do 2 playtroughts because of this simple mistake.
PhantomFear94 says
Great guide! One thing, you can make your final cloud save when you hide behind the rocks in Ch. 11, it doesn’t need to be the start. Save a good 10-15 mins.

Good morning.
Will there be a guide for Avowed, Age of Mythology: Retold, Indiana Jones and Marvel’s Blade?
